Chapter 113 - Loki Disguised as Thor

"I know not all mutants are bad. It's just that the ones causing trouble happen to be mutants. It's no different from ordinary humans—not everything is black or white. I understand the situation, so don't worry."

Besides Tony Stark, Chen Xi noticed that the other mutants had also contributed greatly this time. Each of them looked uneasy, anxious about the current events.

"I also know that even without mutants, ordinary humans wouldn't necessarily have it easy. Besides mutants, there are many other threats affecting humanity," Chen Xi added, speaking calmly as ever.

The mutants, initially tense, gradually relaxed after hearing Chen Xi's words.

Tony Stark breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that Chen Xi might, on a whim, carry out a purge against mutants.

But of course, Chen Xi would never do such a thing.

Though he considered himself human, a person like him would not be allowed to exist in a peaceful society anyway.

He had spent so long planning and helping the mutants establish their nation. No matter what challenges had arisen, he would never abandon the existence of mutants.

Yet, he realized he had made mistakes in certain aspects.

He couldn't simply free the mutants, create their nation, and then walk away. They needed laws and a space to operate freely.

Chen Xi crossed his arms and reflected deeply on his past actions.

But only for a moment. He quickly pushed those thoughts aside.

There were far more pressing matters.

First, find Loki.

The immediate task was to resolve this situation.

"Have Asgard located Loki yet?"

"It seems so. But Loki refuses to confront Asgardians directly. Whenever discovered, he flees immediately, leaving only the wolf Fenris and his subordinate Ulric to engage," Gwen reported. Though responsible for logistics, she had been keeping an eye on Asgard.

Chen Xi quickly vanished from the spot and headed to find Thor.

Thor looked slightly surprised to see Chen Xi. "I know about the ogre army's attack. Loki made a huge mistake this time. I apologize."

"Words of apology are meaningless, Thor. I've told you before—if Loki crosses me, there's only one way out for him: death."

No second chance.

Thor pursed his lips, saying nothing further.

If the incident had involved Asgard itself, he could not forgive it either.

"I have no right to oppose your decision. If Loki falls into your hands, deal with him as you see fit. I will not interfere," Thor said.

Chen Xi nodded. Originally, he had intended for Thor to strike Loki personally—strengthening their cooperation.

Now, that cooperation seemed less important.

Loki's head must be cut off, for all to despise him and for the collective anger to be quelled.

Thor would surely feel conflicted carrying out such a task, and Chen Xi didn't want to manipulate Thor's feelings.

If Asgardians couldn't be allies, they would become enemies.

Though the chance of that happening was low.

With that, Chen Xi's mind calmed again.

"Has your team located Loki yet? My people say he's cunning—once discovered, he flees immediately, leaving only Fenris and Ulric behind."

If they could find Fenris and Ulric, they could be sure Loki was nearby.

After all, Loki loved his little games, observing the situation from the shadows. Having Fenris by his side only confirmed that Loki must be close.

Thor also thought the same, though he didn't voice it, his eyes revealing a hint of complexity as he watched Chen Xi.

Chen Xi glanced at Thor briefly and then stopped dwelling on it, focusing on locating Loki.

Nearby, Fenris was trapped by Asgardians.

The wolf roared violently, his immense strength tearing through their bindings.

Chen Xi watched calmly, standing at a distance, when suddenly he sensed a powerful attack coming from behind.

Turning, he realized it was Thor.

Even Chen Xi, always composed, was surprised.

"You…"

Seeing Thor thrusting his golden spear toward his chest, Chen Xi suddenly understood.

"Loki."

As he called the name, Thor's form instantly transformed into Loki's.

Before everyone's eyes—except for Loki's own followers—Thor had become Loki.

The Asgardians, shocked, were immediately struck down by Fenris, some even dying on the spot.

"When did you replace Thor?"

Chen Xi dodged the spear, still unaware of Loki's previous actions.

"When I visited your home," Loki replied with a sinister grin, clearly proud of his trick.

"Thor is such a fool. One careless word, and I tricked him completely."

Loki explained how he manipulated Thor, pretending to plead, feigning vulnerability, and claiming he would stop everything he was doing if forgiven.

But Loki never intended to comply.

He had initially planned to kill Thor outright. Yet leaving him alive would better serve Loki's ultimate plan.

Thus, Thor's life was spared… for now.
