Chapter 112 - The Ogre Destroyed the Village

In a northern region…

The ogre had almost devoured everyone in the village.

All that remained of the villagers were bones, which the ogre tossed onto the ground, piling them up like small mountains.

But this wasn't even the worst part.

Even more disturbing…

A small team of mutants wasn't stopping the ogre. Instead, they stood nearby, laughing as it devoured humans.

Clearly, this was exactly what they wanted to happen.

Across the country, many people were witnessing this horror.

"Help… help!"

A young mother, clutching her child, stumbled toward the mutants, begging for mercy. But the mutant at the front kicked her toward the ogre.

"How unlucky."

There was a blatant disgust in the mutant's eyes.

The young mother couldn't believe what she was seeing. That mutant normally wore a smiling face, but his expression had changed in an instant.

Her bones and blood were being gnawed away bite by bite.

She wanted to protect her child, but she no longer had the strength.

"Lenny, didn't you give this woman quite a few gifts before?"

"Yeah. That woman was disgusting—acting entitled. If the gifts weren't good or fresh enough, she'd even complain."

The man called Lenny's voice was full of contempt: "Trash that only drinks people's blood should have been cleared long ago. Being eaten is her honor—at least trash can still be useful."

"Ha ha ha—"

The shrill laughter was the last sound the woman heard before death.

Elsewhere, the city had already been brought under complete control.

The death ship hovering above was of no concern. Sporadic blasts erupted from above, signaling a battle in progress.

Chen Xi glanced briefly upward, then returned his gaze.

That must be the Asgardians. They had already split up. Chen Xi was dealing with the ogre; the death ship was likely being handled by Asgard.

The main question now: would Loki follow the ogre or the death ship?

Chen Xi thought about this casually.

"It's bad. My people just got a report."

"The northern villages were completely wiped out. The ogre destroyed them, with mutants cooperating."

Qin Gelei, in charge of reconnaissance, rushed to Chen Xi's side as soon as she received the news.

Her beautiful face was full of disbelief.

Indeed, this was almost impossible to comprehend.

"Then let's go there."

Chen Xi merely frowned slightly, then made a decision.

He and Qin Gelei immediately flew north.

Though far from their location, they reached their destination almost instantly.

Hell on Earth.

As Chen Xi arrived, the phrase "Hell on Earth" came to mind.

How long had it been since he had seen something so horrifying?

Even in past battles, he had never witnessed such a sea of blood and corpses covering the entire area.

The corpses had clearly been devoured by some creature.

Being a girl, Qin Gelei instinctively raised her hand to cover her face at the sight.

"Help… help!"

A weak male voice called out.

Chen Xi and Qin Gelei's keen hearing quickly pinpointed the voice.

It came from behind a large stone, with only the man's upper body visible.

Seeing Chen Xi, the man tried to speak, but his gaze drifted away.

It was clear he had reached his limit.

Chen Xi and Qin Gelei were silent, letting out a quiet sigh before focusing their gaze on locating the ogre.

The area was eerily empty—no signs of life.

"Looks like they've moved on," Qin Gelei said, her expression one of disgust.

Her hatred for the ogres grew. They had devastated one place and were now wreaking havoc elsewhere.

"Let's keep searching."

Chen Xi's face no longer held a relaxed, playful smile. Instead, it was a cold, terrifying sneer.

Every day, people die. But this kind of death was one they should never have faced.

"Loki must die!"

Chen Xi was resolute. In his mind, Loki was already dead.

They searched the north and found the area completely devoid of survivors, continuing their search nearby.

Soon, they found a large group of ogres, accompanied by several mutants.

These mutants were particularly vile—they actively assisted the ogres in capturing humans, feeding them to the creatures.

Qin Gelei covered her mouth, nearly vomiting.

"We have much to do. Stay calm."

Chen Xi pressed a hand on her shoulder, and Qin Gelei quickly regained composure, as he instructed.

Though she had seen many battles, she had never witnessed anything like this.

"Can I strike?"

Qin Gelei clenched her fists and asked softly. Her anger could no longer be restrained—she wanted to slaughter these abominable creatures.

"Of course."

Chen Xi replied lightly.

This was a situation no one wanted to see, yet it had occurred.

He struck without mercy, almost every blow lethal.

Mutants he had once saved now fell again by his hand.

Through it all, his expression remained unchanged.

Village by village, they cleared the threat.

Eventually, they began to grow numb.

When Tony Stark learned the fate of these villages, he remained silent for a long time, finally dryly saying to Chen Xi:

"Not all mutants are that terrible. They aren't very different from ordinary humans, so…"
