"Ma'am, with all due respect, I don't think the answer to our situation is to rely on the Order's hunter. We're not sure if he will successfully complete the mission he's about to embark on. I recommend considering it a little longer."
Amanda looked at the scientist beside her and asked, "For how much longer will we consider it?"
"Eh?"
"We've lost enough time to be thinking about who to send and when to send them. You don't know superhumans like I do. According to the data, we understand that Jonathan controls a large portion of his brain, and that's hundreds of thousands of pieces of information constantly moving back and forth."
Amanda paused, looked at the screen showing Jonathan visualizing hundreds of different topics, and said, "A person with the ability to control their brain and use superhuman skills completely loses interest in simple things and gains an obsession with engaging in situations that would instill fear in any normal human."
…
Armory room, unknown location.
Jonathan was in a special room where a custom suit was being prepared for him. "I want knives made of the best material you can get, pistols, long guns, gold bars, and the drugs Pat promised to enhance my abilities."
"Understood."
The experts began moving to bring him all the equipment he requested, and the first thing they brought were two curved machetes.
"I asked for two knives."
"This is better than that."
Jonathan picked up a machete much longer than his own arm and felt an impressive weight. 'I didn't think it would weigh this much. Could this be two hundred kilos?'
"What is this?"
"Surprised? The extraordinary strength and weight of this machete is due to its composition of steel, carbon, and titanium. Carbon steel provides the base for an incredibly hard and durable blade, capable of withstanding wear even in the harshest conditions. Titanium, known for its exceptional corrosion resistance and high strength-to-weight ratio, further reinforces the machete's structure, ensuring it can endure extreme forces during use. Additionally, it contains a material extracted from the moon, which adds more weight to the blade."
Jonathan knew what he was about to face, so he didn't complain about the weaponry they were giving him. "Other types of weapons…"
"You have the best options, but I recommend the AK-47 assault rifle with modifications. Someone strong like you can handle it easily, so it would be ideal to carry this equipment."
'They're giving me a lot of weapons. That means they know exactly what's behind this. Their previous agents must have died in combat. That means they're now choosing someone with telekinetic abilities to endure more in battle.'
"I want some grenades and a gas mask." Jonathan stepped out wearing a special white and red suit over his clothes that had been previously selected.
Once he received everything he requested, it was all packed into a backpack, except for his knives, which were now on his back in their sheaths.
Walking slowly down the corridors, he reached a room where Father Doug, along with Wednesday, were studying the mission.
"This is crazy, brother. They want to kill you."
"He won't die; we've already talked about it." Wednesday looked at Father Doug with surprise, who seemed not to hear her.
"They did this to two friends in prison. I never saw them again, and that's why I'm a Christian now."
Jonathan smiled and said, "We'll come out on top of all this, don't worry."
…
Outside the room, Jonathan smiled, looked at the reflection in one of the glass panels, and murmured, "I won't die."
"Looks like you're ready. I'm giving you this."
Jonathan turned and saw Amanda holding a briefcase. "Inside are ten doses to grant abilities similar to yours. In Jericho, I understood what you were doing, and knowing your conviction, I think we'll work well together."
"I think so too."
Amanda saw Jonathan open the briefcase and said, "You have three doses to enhance your abilities and perfect them. Use them wisely."
Jonathan took the briefcase, nodded, and headed to the place where he would be deployed.
"Just put on the helmet. You have fifty hours of oxygen and supplies for three days. If you're smart, you can manage with this. Also, once in unknown terrain, trust no one and don't act hastily."
After receiving the instructions, Jonathan prepared himself, looking at the tunnel in front of him, filled with strange red matter and dark energy emerging from within.
"Do I just go through it?"
"That's all…"
'Of course I know how to do it.' Jonathan looked at Amanda, who was watching him, and quickly said, "Don't get involved in the mission; I'll handle it."
"We'll be in the rear."
Jonathan didn't respond. He looked at the tunnel, and before entering, drew his knives.
'Very clever…' Amanda thought, her gaze focused ahead.
"Well, see you later." Jonathan was excited, so he didn't wait any longer and stepped forward, which sent him a hundred meters deep.
Before passing through a wormhole, it would be a surreal and difficult-to-imagine experience, as it is still a hypothetical theory in physics. However, at that very moment, if Jonathan could conceptualize it, it could be compared to an extreme disorientation combined with intense distortion of time and space.
Imagine being immersed in a whirlwind of constantly changing colors and shapes, where the known laws of physics seem to vanish. It would be like being dragged through a tunnel of energy that distorts your perception of time and reality, while experiencing weightlessness and disconnection from the outside world.
During the journey through the wormhole, Jonathan could feel a mixture of excitement, anxiety, and awe as he watched everything slowly turn red.
"What the hell?" Jonathan exclaimed when he opened his eyes and found himself falling from a height of more than thirty thousand meters.
