She closed her eyes and exaggerated her lips. She laughed so hard that tears came down from her eyes. And then I could not help but feel a little bit embarrassed. Embarrassed, damn it.
This food monster cut me slack in a bit and let me grab her hand and pin her to a nearby tree.

She eyed me seductively, and then she swayed her hair.
"And for the record, gorgeous monster, I don't only have that effect on you, I have that effect on everyone, press, I have every man. As long as they have eye and they can recognize beauty, I will have that effect on them."
"Every man," my stomach growled as my wolf was howling in jealousy.
"This beauty is only for me," I said my face hot.
And then she rolled her eyes.
"I mean, you're dying in the next four days. I can't spend my entire life as a widow," she said, and my eyes darkened.
