Lucien's POV
Gabrielle went back to normal the moment after I threatened her. She wiped up the tears of her eyes and we continued with our day, keeping her mother's matter behind us. We will be going back to the High House tomorrow, and that is when we will be taking care of whatever drama her mother is about to bring. But whatever she is bringing, I will not let her harm my wife, at least while I have my four days left.
Then we went away from wherever Shirley and the rest of the wolves' eyes couldn't catch us, and she laid on my lap while I straightened her hair with my fingers.
"Ow! It hurts, gorgeous monster!" She let out a gasp in pain as I mistakenly used one of my claws to pull a strand of her hair out.
"Oops, I'm sorry."
And then the day almost darkened a little as Gabrielle noticed it.
"Why? Why is the day almost darkening? It is hardly afternoon."
"What? It is full moon today, Gabrielle. Don't recalculate the days of the moon. It is full moon."
