Chapter 3 - Don't Say It Out

Lily lay on the bed and looked at the ceiling like a salted fish, except that this salted fish was truly too pitiful and was seriously contemplating life.

Lily's chest heaved heavily, and tears rolled down her cheeks.

In fact, Lily was once in love. In love with a man. Her crush had been so amazing and shone bright like the sun.

But he had married another woman before she could confess to him.

It turned out that Lily's crush also held a crush on her all this time, but her cold exterior had scared him off and made him unable to talk to her!

The truth had resulted in Lily visiting a club every night after work to get drunk to a stupor so she wouldn't have to feel the pain.

In the end, Lily's car had an accident on her way back from the club when she was trying to save a blind elder who had mistakenly walked onto the road.

At her last breath, Lily believed that she'd never be with another man.

But Lily had wished to heaven that if she were reborn, she'd never live such a boring life.

Who knew that Lily would suddenly be drawn into a world and be papapa for the first time by a man in a book? It was really not boring!

Sigh, it's not easy for a cannon fodder!

Lily tried to roll to her side only to groan loudly.

Sigh! Not only was this cannon fodder's heart wrecked, but even her body was torn apart.

However…

Lily gritted her teeth. She wouldn't wait for the world to decide her fate. Never!

If Lily did, who knew how much it'd fuck her up?

It already fucked Lily up the minute she realized that she woke up on the matrimonial bed.

Sigh! Lily was so pitiful.

Lily's finger tapped the bed while she wondered how to make that person let her go obediently with a seven-digit figure as a reward.

Suddenly, Lily's eyes lit up, and a plan began to form in her head.

Instead of acting coquettish and going through schemes like those characters she had read about, there were several ways to go about it. That's right!

There were several ways to ruin Zane Ji's mood until he wouldn't want to see her. Just thinking about it…

A set of plans began to invade her head.

'Live like a happy-go-lucky. Act it until it becomes real.

Act drunk in Zane Ji's presence.

Wear heavy makeup and repulsive perfume.

Become a workaholic and cold to him.

Hide away from home.

Don't avoid the movie scene and secretly help the FL and ML fan their romance.

Lastly, get a divorce and go live like a salted fish, babe!'

Upon thinking this, Lily's eyes lit up and her lips curved.

Even without thinking, she could foresee how annoyed Zane would be. He would be so annoyed that he'd throw her out, and she'd have no choice but to return home.

The thought made Lily's eyes brighten.

The thought of lying in bed while her overprotective brother and parents spoil her and make her happy was enough to send her flying to the moon.

A trace of determination overwhelmed her, and she promised herself. In six months. Yes, in six months she'd get it done with.

Suppressing the urge to curse a certain cruel man, Lily stood up and slowly made her way toward the bathroom with trembling legs.

That jerk. How could he be so cruel to a cannon fodder? How?

Sigh!

Lily tilted her neck while trying to recall if the author mentioned any papapa between the male lead and the cannon fodder.

But in the next minute, Lily brushed the thought off, thinking it didn't matter.

The cannon fodder had fallen in love with Mr. Ji. Even if she had to go through this every night, it'd only send her to heaven.

Thinking like this, Lily entered the shower to take a bath.

By the time Lily stepped out of the bathroom, she felt so relieved, and the pain coursing through her body and heart had lessened compared to before.

The sudden ringing of her phone broke the room's silence.

Lily dropped what she was doing and hurried toward the bedroom to pick up the phone.

Immediately, Lily realized that her agent was calling her. She picked up the call. "Hey, sister."

Hearing that tone, the agent removed her phone from her ear and checked if she hadn't dialed the wrong number.

Upon seeing that the caller was indeed Lily, Agent Rylee arched her brows. "You seem to be in such a good mood this morning. Is married life so sweet?"

Lily's upper lip raised. Bullshit! How was it sweet? Her waist hurt from last night's actions, okay?

Lily spoke seriously, like someone considering a very important topic. "Is it too late to cancel a marriage, or too early?"

Agent Rylee straightened her back and quickly said, "You. Don't say it out."

Lily sighed and plopped on the bed. She pressed her lips together and shook her head. She sighed ruefully. "He'll never like me." She added in a whisper, "He might even kill me."

Agent Rylee was taken aback by Lily's complaint. Who had been so happy a few days ago that she was getting married? It wasn't even up to a day that the duo had been married, right? "You're not winning his heart anymore?"

Lily sighed and fell on her back. She shook her head and whispered, "I realized that there's no benefit when it comes to it."

Hearing Lily's depressing voice, Agent Rylee instantly realized that Lily had lost her thrill for the marriage. "Have you fallen in love again? Tell me, who is it? It can't be that you fell in love with Eric, the male lead of the military drama? Is that the reason you want to participate in the movie?"

Lily's eyes narrowed, and she straightened her back.

Thinking about it now, the military drama was indeed the movie where the ML and FL would meet and fall in love with each other.

The depressing aura that surrounded a certain cannon fodder disappeared, and she quickly asked, "Tell me, have you secured a role?"
