Chapter 11 - Torture Them

Lily instantly regretted her decision to come. She was still naïve—truly naïve.

Friends like these only followed money, and their loyalty lasted only while it suited their interest.

Lily didn't know anyone yet, and she definitely couldn't call her agent. What if the paparazzi were led to the club and her irresponsible actions ended up online?

That meant Lily could only fall back on someone—Mr. Ji.

Sigh. She hadn't expected tonight to end this way, still needing to rely on him.

A surge of heat overwhelmed Lily's whole being, and her desire ignited so much that she suddenly had the urge to jump on the men a few feet away.

Lily raised her hand and gave herself a hot slap in the face that made her head buzz and snapped her back to rationality.

She bit her lower lip fiercely and picked up her phone. She hurriedly began to type as her face grew increasingly hot and her sight turned dizzy.

Mr. Ji, help me. I have been drugged and locked in a private room of Club X.

Before Lily could successfully send the message, the two men turned toward her like predators.

They ran at her, smacked the phone from her hand, and tried to rip off her clothes.

Lily's eyes flashed with despair, and tears pooled in her eyes. She had shot herself in the knees.

Her hand had landed on the send button, but she didn't know if the message went through before they snatched the phone. Her last source of help was gone.

"No. No. Please, don't…" Lily's body trembled as she struggled so they couldn't strip her.

The men grinned at her like animals, enjoying how she fought but couldn't win.

Rip.

Lily's top was torn from her body. Tears trickled down her face, and a sob spilled past her lips.

She regretted it. Lily truly regretted it. This world really didn't go easy on her.

She swore that if heaven gave her another chance, she would never mess up again.

"Mr. Ji, help me…" Although Lily wanted to yell, the drug reduced her voice to a whisper. Soon, her rationality disappeared.

BANG!

Suddenly, the door was kicked open, and a tall figure stepped into the room.

Zane Ji's eyes turned cold upon seeing the half-naked woman.

His gaze flickered with killing intent as he strode toward the men, grabbed them by the necks, and gave each a fierce punch.

Immediately, the men blacked out, and Zane threw them across the room, their heads slamming against the wall.

He took off his suit and carefully wrapped it around Lily's half-naked body. Then he picked her up and strode out of the private room.

It took hours before the drug in Lily's body subsided under Zane's help.

Immediately after, he called a doctor to check her before stepping outside.

Compared to the lively club a few hours ago, it was now deathly still—so quiet that even a pin drop would be heard.

Zane's assistant, Ray, had already gathered everyone involved in the incident into the private room, including the manager.

Cara's face was deathly pale, her body trembling helplessly.

Wasn't it said that President Ji didn't care about his wife, and no matter what they did to Lily, it wouldn't move him?

Wasn't that the reason Lily still dared to play around in the club and chase after men despite being married?

Then why had President Ji personally stepped forward to save her?

If Cara had known this was how it would end, she would never have acted. Still, she couldn't admit guilt. Or else she was dead.

Seeing Zane's cold gaze and the aura exuding from him, it was evident that if she dared admit it, he would snap her neck and make her family pay heavily.

Cara immediately stepped forward and kowtowed, banging her forehead heavily on the floor. "Mr. Ji, please forgive us. I didn't expect Miss Lily would go this far. I simply prepared everything like Miss Lily always wanted."

In this case, Cara pushed the blame onto Lily, hinting this wasn't the first time Lily had done it. With this, Zane's fury should decrease toward them, shouldn't it?

Anyway, if Zane wanted evidence, it would be easy to forge Lily's reckless past.

Zane's lips curved into a sneer. The woman's message on her phone had said otherwise.

If things were as Cara claimed, Lily wouldn't have sent a message asking for help.

It was clear Lily had sent the photo to Zane and deleted it because she felt something was strange and didn't want to alert them while trying to disclose it to him.

And when she couldn't save herself, she messaged him.

Zane lit a cigarette, leaned against the chair majestically, and closed his eyes as if he had all the time in the world. "Torture them," he coldly pronounced without sparing them a glance.

Upon hearing this, Cara's eyes flew wide open. She hadn't expected Zane wouldn't believe her lies or that he'd go this far for Lily.

One girl immediately stepped forward, banging her head against the floor. She quickly pointed at Cara and sold her out.

"President Ji, have mercy on me. I have no clue what's going on. This was all Cara's plan! Cara was the one who had something against Miss Lily. Miss Lily never offended me—I would never go against her!"

Upon hearing this, a cold chill coursed through Cara's spine.

This was what having friends was like—they only stood by you when things went well. Once things turned bad, they sold you out.

Once the girl spoke up, everyone began to point at Cara, shifting all the blame to her.

Although they had been subtle participants, the last thing they wanted now was to be caught in President Ji's wrath.

Zane's eyes flashed with killing intent. "Break her fingers," he asserted coldly.

Cara's heart pounded against her chest. She hurriedly stepped forward, her face pale as a sheet.

She clasped her hands together and cried out, "Mr. Ji, this wasn't on purpose. It was my sister. My sister had something against Miss Lily and asked for my help."

It turned out Darcy—the girl Lily met in the mall earlier that afternoon—was Cara's sister.

Darcy had ordered Cara to drug Lily so they could shoot a video and upload it online to ruin her reputation.

Zane stubbed out his cigarette, stood up, and cast a glance at Ray.

Although Zane didn't say a word, it was clear what he meant: give them a taste of their own medicine.

Immediately, bottles of drugged wine were forcefully fed down each of their throats, with Alice stomaching two bottles.

Zane stepped out of the club while carrying Lily.

Within an hour, a live broadcast from Alice's phone sent the internet abuzz.
