Chapter 12 - Bo Family

The live broadcast immediately sent the online world into chaos.

'No way! We all know that this group is shameless; I didn't expect them to go this far.

They are indeed so shameless. I'll share this with the police socials. @Police, some people are really shamelessly committing crimes and broadcasting them live.

Haha. It's so fun. Is this the crime of the century?'

Using the lead received from the live broadcast, the police had burst into the nightclub, which had now become empty except for the group of drugged people who were currently participating in illicit acts.

The police members were filled with disgust.

Despite trying to separate them from each other, the group all continued to jump and hump at each other.

It had taken a while before the police finally captured and arrested them.

They had first sent them to the hospital to wash the drugs from their bodies before sending them back to the police station.

The police social media soon released a post saying that the group was involved in an orgy and that they would be spending some time in prison as punishment.

An anonymous poster had also revealed that Cara was in charge of this orgy and that it wasn't the first time she had organised such an event.

It was right to say that Cara was finished.

When Cara regained her rationality and found herself in the cell, the first thing she did was bang the cell wall and cry out, knowing she was finished. "No. I'm innocent. I didn't organize any orgy. I haven't done this before. Call my sister. Call my father; they'll save me." She shrieked at the top of her lungs.

In fact, people like Cara already had a bad reputation, but with this action, she'd have to carry this stain for the rest of her life.

A female police officer who was walking by paused upon hearing Cara's words. "Your family?" The police officer laughed as if she had heard a ridiculous joke.

Soon, the police officer took out her phone and opened the social media app. She tapped on a famous news channel that was currently holding a live broadcast.

Immediately, the policewoman handed her phone over to Cara so she could look at the live broadcast.

In the live broadcast, Darcy Bo and her parents, David and Helen Bo, were currently holding a press conference in the company to apologize to the country.

"Our Bo family would like to apologize to everyone who has trusted and supported the Bo family over the years. The Bo family has always stood on the positive side and believed in fighting crime. I'm sorry that my shameless daughter has been caught in such an illicit act.

To show our honesty and apology, the Bo family will cooperate with the police and media and let my daughter spend time in prison throughout the investigation so justice can be served," David Bo announced to the media heroically.

Darcy stepped forward while holding her handkerchief. Tears kept dripping down her face, and her body trembled as if she'd collapse from the sway of a breeze, making her appear so pitiful.

Darcy burst into tears and broke down. "It's all my fault. I am a bad sister for failing to reprimand and stop my sister from making bad friends. I should have locked her up even if she hated me. I just…"

Darcy paused and broke into tears again. Helen Bo had to step forward and comfort her before she finally stopped crying and regained composure.

Darcy stepped forward and took a deep breath. She looked at the camera and firmly declared, "I hereby promise to support my father and the media. We'll do anything to tackle injustice and make my sister change. Also, my father and I have already agreed that after the term, Cara will be sent abroad to learn and help with charity around the world. Thank you."

Cara froze, and her face turned as pale as a sheet. She fell on her butt, her body trembling. They had sold her out? Just… just like that? Darcy had said what…?

Darcy had been the one to tell her to do those things. It turns out… it turns out…

Upon recalling everything that happened and how the Bo family quickly switched on her, Cara's eyes flashed with hatred, and she clenched her fists. She had done everything for the Bo family, but this was the way they would treat her?

Sending her abroad—wasn't it just a way to silence her? Cara hadn't expected that the Bo family would also be this wicked.

Cara knew that Darcy was bound to be the heir of the family, and because of this, she decided to live a reckless lifestyle so Darcy would not feel threatened or think she was eyeing the heir position.

Cara knew how cruel the socialite families were, and she wasn't interested in losing her life over shares.

Despite her reckless behavior, Cara had never been involved in any criminal act.

However, because she wanted to prove her love and loyalty to Darcy, she got involved in several bad acts and spoiled her reputation.

Cara gritted her teeth and clenched her jaw. If she were going down, then the Bo family would also have to go down. She stared straight at the police officer and said, "Can you inform President Ji that I have the evidence he's looking for? Also, I have a little evidence that proves the Bo family was involved in corruption..."

"What did you say?" The cold and booming voice of a man suddenly attracted their attention.

Upon seeing David Bo walking toward her cell while staring at her with a calm expression, Cara's eyes widened, and her face turned as pale as a sheet. He had heard her?

Cara shook her head like a rattling drum, her body trembling. "No. No. Nothing."

David Bo turned to the police officer who had just been speaking to Cara and smiled at her. "Officer Joy, isn't it? I was just talking to your supervisor about your performance. I, David Bo, am completely satisfied with your performance."

Upon hearing this, Officer Joy's face instantly lit up, and she smiled at David Bo. "Really? Thank you for holding me in such high regard, Mr. Bo. I'll do anything to obtain your satisfaction," she expressed.

David Bo nodded in satisfaction.

Cara's face turned as pale as a sheet. What did this mean, if not that Officer Joy had given her loyalty to her father?

Didn't that mean that she could never reach President Zane Ji?

Despair appeared on Cara's face. She had wanted to use President Ji as her last resort to escape the Bo family's control, but she hadn't expected that she would give the enemy the chance to know the secret she had been hiding.

The Bo family could heartlessly sell her out to the public so they wouldn't be dragged down by her crime—what wouldn't they do to her?

"Leave my daughter and me for a while," David Bo said calmly, but the eyes that landed on Cara were full of killing intent.
