"And now the Vice President candidates!" President Simmons announced, her gaze shifting toward the group of Class Vice President candidates waiting near the stage.
She introduced them one by one, and the three candidates delivered their speeches in turn.
Xavier Vega (Class D) spoke about the importance of teamwork, Jade Adams (Class A) promised energy and action, and Halley Green (Class F) pledged dependable support and a commitment to listening to every voice.
When their speeches concluded, President Simmons transitioned smoothly.
"Next, the Class Secretary candidates," she said, introducing Claire Nelson (Class H), who highlighted her organization skills and reliability, and Jessie Robinson (Class G), who emphasized the value of capturing details that drive real results.
"Finally," President Simmons continued, turning toward the last two students still waiting near the stage. "It's time for the Class Treasurer candidate speeches."
"Please welcome our first first candidate, Emilia Stevens from Class A."
Emilia stepped up to the podium, standing tall despite the nervous excitement in her expression.
"Hi, everyone. I'm Emilia Stevens, and I'm running for Freshman Class Treasurer.
Treasurer might sound like it's just about math and money- and, in some ways, it is- but it's really about making sure our class has the resources to do amazing things. I'm organized, detail-oriented, and yes, I actually enjoyed budgeting. I'll make sure every dollar we receive is used wisely for events and activities hat benefit all of us.
Vote for Emilia Stevens: because your class funds deserve someone who takes them seriously."
I sat quietly in my seat, showing no intrest- she delivered exactly what she had planned, just as she had outlined to me on the night she came over to my house.
"Thank you, Emilia Stevens," President Simmons said with a nod, before inviting the final candidate to the podium.
"Please welcome our final candidate, Chloe Bryant from Class B."
Chloe Bryant walked up with confidence, her tone clear and assured as she addressed the room.
Hey everyone. My name is Chloe Bryant, and I'm excited to be running for Class Treasurer.
You can count on me to keep our class finances: honest, simple, and well-managed. I'll maintain accurate records of all money received and spent, help plan coordinate events, and make sure nothing gets lost or wasted.
I'm reliable, and I'll will make sure you always know where our money is going and how it's helping us succeed. I want to ensure we have the funds for the things that matter most to us.
Vote Chloe Bryant; transparency, teamwork, and trust."
The hall echoed with another strong round of applause as Chloe Bryant left the stage and, President Simmons offered her thanks.
"With that, the Freshman Council candidate speeches have come to a close," President Simmons announced with a elegant smile, signalling the end of the gathering.
As students began to file out of the hall, the freshman class was buzzing with excitement. Whispers and debates broke out instantly- everyone already having their favourites, and speculating over who might win spread quickly through the crowd.
