"Why me?" Kairo asked, but Hinari just looked at him with a side eye that said a lot before walking... They went outside to a training area; it was isolated, with trees everywhere. "Using your ability, harm the tree." Kairo took a step back before punching the tree with a powerful gust of wind, but Hinari's face remained neutral, and to be honest, it just wouldn't hurt anyone with thick skin.
She then walked towards the tree. "Do the same thing to me." Hinari turned back to walk to an appropriate distance where it would be most effective. "I mean, I don't want to hurt you." Hinari turned to look at him, and for a split second, something he almost didn't catch: her eyes glowed, almost flashed. She then scoffed, "You wouldn't be strong enough."
Kairo then threw the air punch at her, and despite being strong winds, that was just it... "That was underwhelming." She walked up to him, then past him. "You ever thought of combining your wind with valence?" This confused Kairo, as he believed he was; he thought the wind was a result of the valence. "Okay, let me explain it: your body concentrates valence where you are forcing out the wind, but your valence doesn't leave the body; it leaks, but it doesn't leave with the attack."
Hinari then walked directly up to him; he instinctively jumped back. "You scared of me or something?" And Kairo shook his head. "I saw your eyes glow— You could have been charging up an attack—" She cut him off. "I wasn't—" But Kairo was quick. "So what the hell was that?" Hinari looked at him deadpan, and again her eyes flashed, and she took a deep breath. "This isn't time for bonding." She walked towards Kairo before she grabbed his hand and she just held it. "Lucan would be ang—" She looked at him deadpan, then he pulled his hand back in pain.
Her hand was hot, and his hand was mildly burned.
