Chapter 120 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 120: I’m Quite Fond of You

The room went cold—everyone was sweating, faces grim. Draconis's theory wasn't some wild guess. The more they thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

Holy Swords belonged to the angelic faction. If fallen angels used them to attack devils, the angels couldn't claim innocence—no matter how simple the frame-up. If anything happened to Rias or Sona, their Demon King siblings would descend on the city in a heartbeat. That was probably exactly what the mastermind wanted.

No one knew what the enemy planned to do with two Demon Kings, but if things had escalated to that level, it was bound to shake the entire Three Realms.

"Would they really go that far?" Koneko whispered, barely audible.

If this was true, not even Rias and Sona together could control the fallout.

Draconis pressed his lips together. "It's just a theory. No need to panic yet."

He tried to sound casual, but Rias was already taking it seriously.

"You make a good point. I need to contact Sona, just in case."

After a moment's thought, Rias turned to Koneko. "Koneko, I have a job for you. Track those two Holy Sword users—keep tabs on where they go."

"Got it." The silver-haired girl accepted without hesitation.

Draconis gave her a gentle nod. "Be careful. If anything happens, let us know right away."

Koneko smiled at him—a rare, genuine smile. She didn't mind his concern at all.

She set off immediately. Tracking and surveillance were her specialty; she was the perfect fit for the job.

With Rias heading out too, Draconis turned to Akeno. "Can I ask you for a favor?"

Akeno's eyes twinkled in surprise. "Ara ara? If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time you've come to me for help."

Draconis smiled. "I'm not big on asking for favors, but you're the best person for this."

Akeno's smile softened. "With an invitation like that, how could I refuse? What do you need? If it's within my power, I'll do everything I can."

"Thanks, Akeno. Could you teach me flight magic? With things so uncertain, I want to learn as quickly as possible—I have a feeling I'll need it soon."

His request was earnest; he knew flight magic could be a game-changer.

Akeno caught the seriousness in his eyes. That unwavering determination—she liked that about him. Maybe that was why he improved so fast.

He really was a captivating boy.

"Flight magic, hmm? You already have devil wings, so the basics shouldn't be hard. It's all about channeling your magic the right way."

She thought for a moment, her smile deepening. "I can teach you much faster with a meditation ritual."

"Perfect. The sooner, the better." Draconis couldn't help but think—having friends in high places made life easier.

Asia, hearing Draconis was about to focus on training, smiled. "I'll go get lunch ready, then."

She slipped out, leaving Draconis and Akeno to their lesson.

Akeno led him to another room. After settling him in, she disappeared into the bathroom—apparently, she needed to prepare.

Draconis blinked, confused. What kind of meditation ritual required a bath beforehand?

Akeno soon emerged, her voice gentle. "Sorry to keep you waiting."

Draconis turned—and nearly did a double-take. Akeno's usual high ponytail was down, damp strands clinging to her yukata. The yukata itself was soaked through, translucent against her skin.

He looked her over. There was nothing under the robe—no other garments at all.

Forget snipers—even the kitchen staff could see everything.

Those curves, that butterfly tattoo—anyone would be stunned.

What kind of ritual was this, anyway?

With her hair loose and her body glistening, Akeno radiated a seductive energy—utterly spellbinding.

"I'm ready. Let's begin."

Draconis tried to play it cool. "Akeno, why'd you get yourself completely soaked?"

She smiled, unbothered. "Oh? It's part of the ritual—purification with water. Is there a problem?"

"…No, you look beautiful." Draconis smiled, keeping his composure. It wasn't his first time—he'd seen plenty during their last trip to the hot springs.

Akeno stepped closer. "Take off your shirt and hold me. Once we start, focus on the flow of my magic. I'll guide you—just pay attention to that floating sensation."

She reached out, inviting him into her arms.

Draconis understood. Magic transfer required skin contact. Sure, holding hands worked, but full-body contact was even better.

He shrugged off his shirt and embraced her, instantly feeling the warmth of her soaked skin.

Maybe it was the water, but Akeno's body was hotter than usual.

The moment their skin touched, Draconis could feel her magic surging—a tidal wave compared to his own.

As Rias's Queen, Akeno was powerful. Unless he pulled out his trump card, his magic couldn't compare.

"Let's start," she murmured, smiling. She demonstrated the flow of magic, repeating it until he began to sense the pattern. Then she guided her energy into him, helping him learn the spell's rhythm.

Before they knew it, their bodies were floating, entwined in the air, turning slowly together.

"Keep your magic in sync with mine…" Akeno's hand traced his back, pressing gently where magic gathered.

"Is this how everyone learns flight magic?" Draconis asked, genuinely curious.

Akeno laughed softly. "Of course not. But you wanted a crash course—this is the fastest way."

Draconis hesitated. "…Isn't this a bit much for you?"

She tilted her head, teasing. "Oh? What makes you think I mind? Honestly, I quite like it." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "Didn't you know? I'm actually quite fond of you."

With that, she leaned in, lips brushing his ear—then playfully licked it.
