The wet heat on his ear was impossible to ignore—Akeno's breath, soft and teasing, filled the space between them. She deliberately made little sucking noises, every sound a provocation, her body close enough to set every nerve alight.
Draconis's magic faltered, the flow inside him thrown off by her playful assault. He forced himself to refocus, keeping the output steady; they were still floating, after all. If he lost control now, they'd both crash to the floor.
"Is this part of the test?" he muttered, half exasperated.
Akeno didn't let up, lips roaming his ear, utterly shameless now that she knew he couldn't push her away. "Hehe, you're just too cute. I can't help wanting to spoil you a little… maybe give you some extra service."
She pressed herself closer, her soaked robe clinging to her skin, radiating warmth. With her hair down, eyes half-lidded and smiling, Akeno was all temptation—a living, breathing invitation.
"Extra service?" Draconis echoed.
"Of course. Isn't it normal to dote on my adorable junior?"
Before he could reply, she kissed him—no hesitation, no restraint. Her tongue found his, bold and eager.
Draconis surrendered, letting the magic fade; gravity reclaimed them, and they drifted gently to the floor.
Her body was soft against him, the damp fabric cool but unable to mask her heat. The contradiction—cold cloth, warm skin—was electric.
Akeno kissed him fiercely, three whole minutes of delicious chaos before she finally pulled away, planting little kisses across his cheeks, thoroughly pleased.
"What's gotten into you?" Draconis asked, a little breathless.
Akeno smiled, her gaze smoldering. "I used to think you were just a cute underclassman. But lately? You're… captivating. That confidence, that focus—it's honestly irresistible."
He couldn't help but laugh. "I'll take the compliment."
Akeno settled against his chest, eyes meeting his. "Sometimes, just thinking about you makes me hot all over. My heart pounds, and I get this urge to mess with you. The more I try to hold back, the worse it gets. Tell me, Draconis—am I in love?"
She didn't wait for an answer, kissing him again—deeper, hungrier, until even he struggled to keep up.
When she finally relented, Draconis gently cradled her, letting her rest in his arms.
"I always thought I'd keep my distance from you," he admitted. "Koneko and I seem to manage that pretty well."
"Nonsense," Akeno scoffed. "Koneko trusts you completely—she just hides it. If she ever falls for someone, it'll be you."
Draconis blinked, genuinely surprised. "Really?"
He'd always imagined he and Koneko as just friends—pure, uncomplicated.
Yet here was Akeno, telling him even Koneko might be drawn to him. Was everyone in his life determined to make things complicated?
He groaned. "It's a little overwhelming. If I make a move on you, Rias will probably flip out. She's so possessive… Draconis, you're a dangerously attractive man."
Akeno traced lazy circles on his chest, her touch sending shivers through him.
He chuckled, self-deprecating. "Guess that's my fault. Sorry."
Akeno grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck. The motion sent her collar sliding open—a long scar visible on her skin.
"So, darling… want to have a secret affair with me?"
"…Huh?"
A jolt ran up his spine, his eyes widening. Why did just those words hit so hard?
Akeno giggled, her voice low and sultry. "Whatever happens next, I'll keep it from the President and Asia. Just our little secret. Tempting, right? I think I'm ready to be with a boy."
Her gaze was pure invitation—sweet, dangerous, impossible to resist. Every word was a dare.
Draconis shook his head, half laughing, half exasperated. "You make it sound way too tempting. But honestly, now's probably not the best time. I prefer things out in the open—no sneaking around."
He brushed her cheek, gentle. "Secret affairs are exciting, sure. But wouldn't you rather be with me honestly? Out in the open?"
Akeno paused, eyes softening. "That would be even better. So you're thinking about my feelings?"
Draconis met her gaze, earnest. "Of course. I don't want you to feel like you have to settle for less. You—and everyone in the peerage—matter to me. I treasure you."
His sincerity was like sunlight breaking through ice. Akeno sighed, smiling. "You're too gentle, Draconis. Too good at making a girl's heart race."
"Gentle? Doesn't really fit a devil, does it?" He grinned. "But isn't it natural to be good to the people you care about?"
Akeno propped herself up, looking down at him.
"Am I beautiful?"
"Absolutely."
"Want to really experience me?"
"I do."
"Then what are you waiting for? Rias has probably had her turn already. It's driving me crazy—I want to know what it's like."
Draconis blinked at her, then whispered, "So… one more kiss?"
Akeno's smile widened, and she dove into his arms.
This time, Draconis didn't hold back—his hands moved with playful skill, drawing circles and squares, inventing his own brand of intimacy.
They were lost in each other when a surge of magic rippled through the room. A dark red magic circle flashed, and Rias stepped out—tall, regal, and suddenly very, very annoyed.
She took in the scene—Draconis and Akeno tangled together on the floor—and her eye began to twitch.
