"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 211: Little Brother-in-Law Incoming~

Saturday meant a full slate of commissions for everyone.

After a quick breather, they scattered—each off to tackle their own assignments.

Draconis Yi lingered just long enough to steal a lingering kiss from Rias, then sent her off with reluctant affection.

He teleported to his old villa—the one that had been relocated after all the chaos.

He hadn't set foot here in a while.

Funny, it hadn't been long since his arrival in this world—barely half a year, if he counted.

So why did it feel like a lifetime?

So much had happened…

He shook off the nostalgia and got to work.

Cleaning was a breeze with holy-demonic power; he had the place spotless in no time.

Along the way, he unearthed a small mountain of girly odds and ends—stockings, panties, tube tops.

Rias and the girls must've left them behind.

He torched the whole lot without a second thought.

If he ever wanted more, he was pretty sure the girls would happily indulge his quirks…

Once the place was clean, he moved on to the real challenge: prepping for the "cohabiting couple" act.

Matching slippers for two.

Two toothbrushes—he squeezed out half the toothpaste and tossed it, making sure it looked used.

Clothes for two on the rack, a few sets drying on the balcony.

Yor's things would have to wait till she arrived, so he hung up his own for now.

The bedroom needed to sell the illusion, too.

He even printed a photo of himself and Yor, both smiling at the camera—pure domestic bliss.

He kept at it until well into the afternoon.

By the time he was done, everything looked lived-in.

All that was left was waiting for Yor.

He checked the clock.

She should be close.

Should he call?

No—better not. She had her own mission to finish.

He didn't want to distract her.

Right then, across town, Yor was pacing anxiously, waiting for a call from her handler.

"Come on, come on… They promised the intel would be here by now. Why is the boss late today of all days?"

Delays weren't uncommon, but usually she had time to spare.

Not today.

In less than ninety minutes, Yuri would be knocking at Draconis Yi's door.

She hadn't prepped a thing.

Finally, the phone rang.

Yor lunged for it, answering before the first ring finished.

"Boss?"

"Sorry, Yor. Got held up with an important client."

"It's fine! Just give me the target."

"Sending now."

She absorbed the intel, then vaulted out her eleventh-floor window—no hesitation.

She knew every ledge and foothold by heart; she could do it blindfolded and never get spotted.

Move, move, move!

If she didn't hurry, she'd miss her window.

Yor tore across rooftops, a blur of speed and precision.

She reached her target in ten minutes flat, booted the door clean off its hinges.

Bang!

Dozens of black-suited bodyguards gawked at her.

"Sorry to rush, but I'm on a tight schedule. Would you kindly hand over your lives quickly?"

She was unfailingly polite.

The men stared, then the ones in the back—midway through a shady deal—finally reacted.

"Kill her!"

"Get her!"

Knives flashed.

No guns—it was too cramped, and they didn't want friendly fire.

Not that it would've made a difference.

Yor didn't care.

She had one thought:

I'm running out of time.

She plowed into the crowd, breaking blades and tossing muscle-bound men like rag dolls.

She was in a hurry, so she didn't hold back.

Back at the villa, Draconis Yi sat stone-faced on the sofa.

Yor was late.

He glanced at the clock.

Yuri Briar would be here any minute.

Yor was nowhere to be seen.

None of her stuff was unpacked.

Had something gone wrong?

Should he go looking?

He didn't even know where to start.

He tried calling—no answer.

She didn't own a cell phone.

He rubbed his chin, mentally cursing the situation.

Time was almost up.

He'd have to hit Yuri with a Common Sense Alteration—basically wipe and reboot.

Risky, but what choice did he have?

He headed for the door, but before he could step outside, Yor dropped from the roof, suitcase in hand, covered head to toe in blood.

"I'm so sorry, Draconis Yi! I'm late!"

"Uh…"

He stared at her, then at the roof—she'd just jumped down three stories.

For him, that was nothing.

But Yor was human.

Her physical prowess was… something else.

"Glad you made it. We still have a shot."

He breathed a sigh of relief and ushered her inside.

"I can see Yuri already! He'll be here in two minutes!" Yor blurted, panic in her voice.

"Okay, leave Yuri to me. You—go shower. Now."

Seeing her drenched in blood, Draconis Yi hustled her into the bathroom.

"Hand me your clothes—I'll wash them."

Yor peeled off her bloody outfit, cracked the door open just enough to pass the clothes out, cheeks flaming.

Draconis Yi snatched them up, tossed the outer layers into the washing machine, and—knowing better than to machine-wash delicates—laid her still-warm underwear out on the bed.

Yor scrubbed herself clean while Draconis Yi rifled through her suitcase, hanging up her clothes with military efficiency.

He'd barely finished when the doorbell rang.

Draconis Yi let out a long breath, shoved the suitcase under the bed, and went to answer the door…
