"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 212: This Man Deserves to Die
The door swung open, revealing a young man with sharp energy and impeccable posture—standing tall and holding a bouquet of roses so massive it bordered on ridiculous.
He blinked in surprise when he saw Draconis Yi, eyes flicking past him to scan the room before asking politely,
"Excuse me, is this Yor Briar's residence? I'm her brother."
"That's right. I'm Yor's boyfriend. You must be Yuri—come on in."
Draconis Yi smiled, sizing up the newcomer. The resemblance to Yor was unmistakable. But roses? For his own sister?
For a moment, Draconis Yi wondered if he'd mixed up the address.
Yuri stared, caught off guard. He looked Draconis Yi up and down, suspicion etched across his face.
"You're her boyfriend? You look way too young!"
Draconis Yi's pulse skipped.
Common Sense Alteration—failed.
Rias had warned him: state security types had long since tangled with devils and angels.
Their core agents were trained to resist magical tampering—special potions, special conditioning.
Yuri Briar had clearly been through the wringer.
Draconis Yi's mind raced, but his face stayed calm. He offered a genial smile.
"Most people say that. Don't let appearances fool you—I'm twenty-five. I get that a lot."
He turned, ushering Yuri inside with flawless composure.
If magic wouldn't work, a well-crafted lie would do just fine. Sometimes, lies beat spells hands down.
Yuri followed, still skeptical, eyes never leaving Draconis Yi's back.
He watched every move—steady, unflappable.
Even with his back turned, Draconis Yi seemed unbreakable. No openings, no slip-ups.
This guy was trouble.
Yuri's instincts—honed as a secret police elite—screamed that Draconis Yi was dangerous.
"Your sister's in the shower. Have a seat while you wait."
Draconis Yi poured a glass of water and set it in front of Yuri.
Yuri's eyes widened.
"Sister's showering here? Isn't that a bit fast?!"
Draconis Yi blinked, genuinely puzzled.
"Is that a problem? We've been living together a while."
Yuri: "…"
Damn it. He couldn't argue with that.
If this guy was lying to his sister, Yuri would make him pay—no matter what.
Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Yor was frozen in embarrassment.
She'd rushed in so quickly she hadn't grabbed any clothes.
Now, with the blood washed off, her only outfit was spinning in the washing machine.
What now?
If she messed this up, she'd die of shame.
She could hear Yuri's voice outside—he'd arrived.
No way out. She swallowed her pride and called out,
"Um… Draconis Yi?"
Both men in the living room heard her.
"I'm here. What's up?"
"Uh… I forgot to bring clean clothes. Could you… grab some for me?"
Yor's voice was mortified, cheeks burning red.
How could she be so scatterbrained?
She screamed internally, wishing she could vanish.
The living room fell silent.
Draconis Yi remembered how he'd shoved Yor straight into the shower in his rush.
No helping it—time had been tight.
"Sure, wait a sec. I'll get them."
He answered smoothly, then shot Yuri a sheepish smile.
"Yor's a bit absent-minded sometimes."
Yuri sat, face blank—his mind a storm of outrage.
Sister's showering, forgot her clothes, needs her boyfriend to deliver them…
Sister's showering, forgot her clothes, needs her boyfriend…
This man deserves to die!
Yuri's eyes nearly went bloodshot as he struggled to keep his composure.
He's her boyfriend. This is normal. Normal…
Draconis Yi headed to the bedroom, Yuri's gaze trailing after him—only to spot the pile of intimate garments on the bed.
Yuri: "…"
Thunk.
Like an arrow straight to the heart.
Draconis Yi pulled out a clean outfit: a red bodycon dress, black fitted capris.
Yor's loungewear, apparently—he'd only ever seen her in black formalwear before.
He opened another cabinet, grabbing a fresh set of underwear.
He'd put them there himself earlier—several bras in different colors and styles.
No idea which matched, but he'd just grab one and hope for the best.
Yuri watched Draconis Yi's practiced search with growing bitterness.
So smooth. They really had been living together for ages…
Draconis Yi brought the clothes to the bathroom, knocking gently.
"Yor, I've got your clothes."
The lock clicked open. The door cracked just enough for Yor to peek out, hair dripping wet, shoulders glistening with beads of water.
She reached out, her arm flushed pink from the hot shower.
"Thank you… Draconis Yi. I'll be done soon—could you keep Yuri company?"
She snatched the clothes and shut the door with a bang, cheeks flaming.
She had no idea Yuri was spiraling into misunderstanding.
That look—pure bashful sweetness. Was her life with her boyfriend really this blissful?
Well… if she's happy, that's all that matters.
Draconis Yi returned to the living room.
Moments later, Yor emerged, dressed and radiant.
Fresh from her shower, she looked almost impossibly alluring—her long black hair loose, cascading over her shoulders and back.
Mature, magnetic, and nothing like Rias or Akeno.
But Draconis Yi barely registered it. His eyes narrowed.
Droplets from Yor's hair spattered onto the floor—tinged faintly red.
She hadn't washed all the blood out.
