Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: Yiner

The girl's expression instantly twisted with confusion, like she didn't quite understand.

But it only lasted two seconds. The next moment, her jade-like arms lifted slightly, and her whole body flashed blue. In an instant, she was wearing a thin azure slip dress.

"Yun… like this?" Her look was innocent and pure.

"??? Didn't she understand just now? Now she's even changed into a dress." Yang Yunhai was stunned.

When he turned back fully, he finally saw her clearly—and was utterly struck. She was breathtaking, her beauty beyond words. His mind failed to find a single adjective fitting enough. All he felt was purity, like an otherworldly fairy, detached from the world.

Her long blue hair spilled loosely over her shoulders without ornament. Her fair skin shone against her bare shoulders and slender arms. Her features were flawless, her figure graceful. The azure dress billowed loosely in the valley breeze. One side clung against her, revealing a slender waist and an almost exaggerated curve, while the hem stopped below the knees, slit at the side to show long, elegant legs.

Bare feet dangled in the air, pale toes exposed as she floated.

In short—she matched perfectly with Yang Yunhai's deepest tastes. If not for knowing about the existence of the Blue Silver Emperor, he might have suspected she was some fairy spirit disguising herself.

But that timid expression, the look of fear at being scolded… what was this about?

'Could it really be that lightning left her with amnesia? And is this truly the Blue Silver Emperor? When I saw Tang Hao before, his appearance matched the animation from my past life. But this Blue Silver Emperor… wasn't she supposed to be older? And not this young?' Yang Yunhai thought.

And it wasn't just her age. Her appearance was even more stunning than the animation, her aura more ethereal.

So—was she a newly reborn individual, or the Blue Silver Emperor with amnesia?

His thoughts spun wildly as he asked cautiously, "You called me Yun? Do you know me?"

"Mm-hmm. I like Yun the most!" The girl nodded eagerly.

"Then what's my full name?" Yang Yunhai pressed.

"Just Yun." She answered with pure simplicity, like it was the most natural thing.

"…" Yang Yunhai fell silent, then asked again, "Do you know your own name? Do you remember anything—where you've been, who you've met?"

The girl only looked blank.

'So she really lost her memory? But how does she know to call me Yun, yet can't say my full name? What kind of situation is this?' Yang Yunhai frowned inwardly.

'She couldn't have read my memories. If she could, she wouldn't be so half-informed.'

'Maybe at some point her spirit regained consciousness and subconsciously absorbed fragments of information. She clearly understands the basics of the outside world—human speech, forming clothes—but she didn't even seem to know what "clothes" meant just now.'

'Why does she only know the word Yun for me, and show this closeness? More importantly, she can actively draw on my soul power. That's dangerous. If it happens suddenly in battle, the consequences could be disastrous.'

'Damn it, can anyone tell me what exactly this girl is?'

It felt like they had formed some kind of fusion, a contract or binding, similar to the Soul Spirits from the later stories. But the details were unclear.

Most worrying, the Blue Silver Emperor had been forced into him—not willingly.

If she regained her memory and turned on him, draining his soul power or launching a sudden Soul Shock during battle, he'd be finished.

'Let's hope her memory really is gone.' He could only comfort himself that way.

'No matter what, I need to maintain good relations. Even if I have to play the scoundrel, I'll keep her close. If she ever lashes out, pulls my soul power, or disrupts my mind, I'll be ruined.'

'Also, I need to figure out whether she's truly a new being or just temporarily lost her memory. If the former, that's easier. If the latter, I'll need a way to restrain her.'

'For safety, I should experiment with my soul bone. Maybe I can limit her power that way. Or improve my soul power control enough to cut her off at will. Just now, I didn't resist when she drew my soul power. If I actively cut it, maybe the result would be different. That's a test I need to make soon.'

After pondering, he said aloud, "From now on, you'll be called Yiner."

'Yin for silver, E for beauty. It suits her well,' he thought.

"Mm-hmm!" Yiner nodded happily, delighted.

"Then, Yiner, how did you know I could consume this herb?" Yang Yunhai asked.

He knew the Blue Silver Emperor in the original story recognized herbs well. When Tang Hao was taken to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, she picked herbs to heal his wounds. But wasn't that because of age and experience? Could it actually be a racial ability?

"I just feel that you can," Yiner said naturally.

She floated down gracefully, slipping her arm around Yang Yunhai's, glancing at his face to check for displeasure. When she saw none, she beamed, tugging his arm gently as she pointed toward the Black Jade Divine Bamboo.

"There, inside that node. I feel it will be useful for Yun."

'So soft… is this really just condensed soul power?' Yang Yunhai's gaze flicked sideways before he pulled it back, thoughtful.

From her look and tone, it was clear—she truly had amnesia, and her closeness wasn't fake. And the node she pointed at really was where the Black Jade Divine Bamboo stored its essence. That meant she had genuinely sensed something.

This bamboo stored spiritual essence in its nodes.

'So do I eat it or not?'

'The Black Jade Divine Bamboo essence is a liquid nectar. If I just sip a little, even if it clashes with my current medicine, it shouldn't be too harmful.'

Thinking so, he said softly, "Yiner, return for now. I need to focus on consuming this herb."

"Okay." Yiner nodded sweetly. Her body glowed blue, then dissolved into wisps of light that flowed into his right leg.

Yang Yunhai immediately felt his lost soul power return. It was uncanny.

Pondering, he quickly found a hollow-stemmed rare herb nearby. Breaking off a segment, he hurried back to the bamboo, crouched down, and carefully drilled a small hole into one of its nodes. After some effort, he pierced through.

Inserting the stem, he leaned forward and took a sip.

Cool and sweet, the liquid melted instantly in his mouth, spreading refreshing energy through his meridians. His soul power surged faintly, and with it, his spirit grew sharper. The Blue Silver Grass in his inner vision glowed faintly green-blue.

No negative effects.

'It really works! Tang San didn't drink it in the original. Did he not recognize it? Or was he uncertain? Later he met the Blue Silver Emperor, but never came back for it…' Yang Yunhai's eyes widened. He quickly bit the stem and sucked hard.

"Slurp, slurp…" The bamboo node echoed as its nectar drained.

Soon the stem sucked only air. The essence inside was gone.

Suppressing the violent energy within, Yang Yunhai pulled the stem free, sat cross-legged, and focused on refining the medicine.

Hours passed. Finally, he opened his eyes.
