Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: New York, Shura Field Does Not Exist

The United States, New York, is world-famous as the economic capital.

High-rise buildings are lined up one after another, and LED billboards are dazzling.

Today is another peaceful day - no way!

On the bustling streets of the downtown, the sound of sirens with local characteristics can be heard every half hour, and the warm atmosphere of "freedom" is everywhere.

In fact, since Tony Stark publicly revealed his identity as Iron Man over a year ago, New York, home to Stark Industries, has become much more stable. After all, before criminals commit crimes here, they are unsure whether the billionaire playboy will suddenly put on his damn cool iron suit and descend from the sky at Mach speeds to blast them to death.

Although everyone knew that Tony Stark rarely took action to punish "petty crimes" such as bank robbery, the hopeless weakness that would leave no chance of escape once encountered still frightened many criminal gangs.

This is in line with the current advertising slogan: "In 2009, technology makes the world a better place!"

Iron Man is the king who is crowned with epoch-making technology.

His enormous deterrent power as a superhero is, to some extent, even more powerful than that of a city police officer.

Right now.

Tony Stark, who has titles such as Iron Man, Playboy, and Trillionaire, is in a famous bar and nightclub in New York, surrounded by a group of dancers and models with curvy figures and very little clothing.

"Tony, can you please not meet in places like this when you're discussing serious matters?"

His good friend and US Army Colonel James Rhodes was speechless. He was trying to squeeze through the crowd of women to get next to Tony Stark. His majestic and neat officer uniform was out of place in the current environment.

But the title of colonel was still enough to intimidate many people. After Rhodes came here, the women dispersed from the attractive Stark.

"It's impossible to change the place, it's impossible to change it in this lifetime. But you, can you please not wear this outfit every time? It really affects the atmosphere and mood." Stark teased and picked up a glass of red wine and swayed it.

"I just sneaked out of the base."

Although Rhodes said this, he took a glass of red wine from the tray of a passing waiter and toasted with Stark.

The lights are bright and the sound is booming.

After drinking, Rhodes looked intoxicated and quickly immersed in the present moment.

"Why do you suddenly want to talk to me in the middle of the day?" Stark asked casually.

"Oh, I almost forgot something important!"

Rhode shuddered, looked at his friend seriously, and lowered his voice, "Haven't you been looking for someone with extraordinary talent or incredible power in the past six months?"

"That's exactly what happened."

Stark nodded frankly. He hadn't hidden his desire to create a superhero team from his friend. If Rhodes didn't have a military background, which often made it difficult for him to act privately, he would definitely be one of them.

"How's the progress?" Rhodes asked curiously.

"Not bad, I already have two or three candidates."

Although Stark's tone was still very casual, Rhodes could hear his helplessness.

In fact, Stark only found one candidate, and he just found him in the past few days.

There are two more people who were proposed by the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fortunately, the person he found was not comparable to ordinary people in terms of intelligence or strength.

This is also the only thing that can make Stark feel relieved.

Although the world is so big, there are still very few people who possess strength beyond that of ordinary people.

"What do you think of the new superhero, the Silver-haired Goddess, who appeared in Washington? She defeated the Hulk's clone, Abomination!" Rhodes asked with interest.

"Of course. I asked Jax to check that night." Stark spread his hands and narrowed his eyes. "Although there's not much information, I can confirm that she lives in Washington."

The streets of Times Square are crowded with people, Christmas tree decorations can be seen everywhere, and the festive atmosphere has enveloped the entire city.

"Xi Nian, what do you think of this?" Gwen, wearing a Santa Claus hat, asked while pulling Xi Nian's sleeve.

Xi Nian: "It looks good."

"Senior, where is mine?" Kara touched the reindeer bell on her neck, and the bell made a crisp and pleasant metallic sound.

Xi Nian: "It looks good."

Throughout the whole process, Gwen and Kara took their tool man Xinian and strolled around the bustling commercial streets. The two beautiful girls also became a beautiful landscape in the city.

Although it was a nice experience to be surrounded by beautiful girls, Xinian did not forget his main business.

When they reached the intersection, Xi Nian suggested, "Okay, now I'll walk this way, and you two will walk that way."

"Huh?" Gwen's smile disappeared.

"Why?" Kara also had a question mark on her face.

"Gwen, have you forgotten? You came here early to do tourism research." Xinian gestured, "The street is so big, you'll never be able to walk around it all. Why don't we split up and each go one way? You and Kara can stay together, and that will ensure safety."

Gwen's mind suddenly went blank. She never expected that the excuse she had given earlier would backfire on her.

"Senior, I..." Kara raised her eyes and was about to say something, but met Xi Nian's smile: "Then I'll leave it to you, Kara. You and Gwen, take care of each other's safety."

Kara opened her mouth, wanting to say something. You are the most insecure, right?

She couldn't say no, so she could only agree helplessly: "Okay."

"That's settled then."

Xi Nian carried his schoolbag and walked alone towards a street.

The two beautiful girls were left there, Gwen and Kara looking at each other.

How could things develop into this?

Xi Nian took photos with his phone and walked in one direction of the street. He didn't know how long he walked until a building caught his attention.

It was a memorial hall.

From time to time, adult passengers came in and out with their children. Some children held plastic five-star round shields in their hands, their eyes full of excitement and longing.

Seeing this distinctive scene, you know without asking what kind of memorial hall this is.

Captain America Memorial Hall.

As the first superhero created in human history, Captain America's influence in this country is unquestionable, even though he has died in a plane crash more than half a century ago. However, in the military, many American soldiers still regard him as a benchmark idol for soldiers.

Xi Nian had only heard of it before, but this was the first time he saw the Captain America Memorial Hall.

This is a landmark that you must check in when traveling to New York.

Xi Nian was standing in front of the entrance stairs of the memorial hall, hesitating whether to go in for a tour, when a tall young man walked towards him from inside.

The young white man was wearing casual pants, a jacket, and a low-brimmed cap. He had his head bent slightly, so his features couldn't be seen clearly. However, Xi Nian was standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking up from a perspective that just gave him a clear view.

"Mr. Steve?" Xi Nian asked in surprise.

The white young man was stunned for a moment, looked at the boy in front of him, and nodded slightly.

The person who secretly walked out of the memorial at that moment was the person commemorated by the memorial - Captain America, Steve Rogers!
