The morning sun filtered through the tall windows of the Cultural Cuisine II laboratory, casting golden streaks across the pristine steel countertops.
Haeun arrived five minutes early, her bag slung over her shoulder and her mind still foggy from the restless night she had spent thinking about Aunt Nayoung's unexpected visit.
That and her little walk with Seo Minho.
She had barely settled into her usual spot when Yuna burst through the door like a storm cloud, her purple curls bouncing with each step.
"Park Haeun!" Yuna's voice rang out across the lab, drawing curious glances from other early arrivals. "We need to talk. Right now."
Haeun winced, as she immediately recognized that tone. Yuna only used that particular pitch when she was genuinely upset, and Haeun had a sinking feeling she knew exactly why.
