Chapter 10 - Chapter 9

With Naruto.

Naruto spun in the air, landing on his feet as he watched the supply warehouse vanish.

"Hahaha! Go and kill all that demonic trash!"

He heard a loud, arrogant voice. Looking up, he noticed several fallen angels in the sky, their black wings standing out—but one of them was different.

A fallen angel with five pairs of wings, dark as night. Ugly beyond doubt. He had to be one of the first to fall, because surely no woman would give birth to something like that.

"Fallen ones, they're attacking us—call for reinforc…"

A demon general didn't finish his words, as a light spear was already inches from his face. Shock and horror froze him.

"Glishhh…"

The sound of flesh searing—accompanied by the stench—drew the attention of the veteran demon. As he recovered, he saw the back of an armored figure, bearing a strangely familiar insignia. One he himself had paid money to several generals to protect, to keep far from the battlefield… the Phoenix crest.

"We've been caught off guard… I don't even have my gauntlets."

Naruto sighed, tossing the spear of light back.

"FLISSSS…"

"AAAAHHHH GUHGH…"

The three-winged fallen screamed, but his own spear disintegrated him.

The other fallen, busy slaughtering inexperienced demons, stopped when they saw one of their own fall. Even Kokabiel, who oversaw everything from above, hadn't expected the slightest resistance.

Naruto's cold eyes locked on the surrounding fallen. Idiots. They'd been about to murder their "comrades," but now their attention was all on him.

"Cyclone: Burning."

Naruto pressed his palm to the ground.

"FLUSSSSHHH…"

An ocean of orange flames erupted instantly.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH…"

"I'M BURNINGGG… AHHHH…"

Reflexively, the demon shielded his face with his arms… then realized he felt no pain. No heat. Yet he could hear the screams.

Opening his eyes, he realized he was inside a protective barrier. The sea of fire consumed everything, yet he felt nothing. Other recruits were inside similar barriers. But outside… the fallen were melting, their bodies grotesquely twisting—something he had never seen in his entire life.

Kokabiel's eyes widened as his entire legion was wiped out in an instant by the inferno.

In slow motion, he saw a blond youth cleave a three-winged fallen in half. But what shook him wasn't the kill—it was that, while striking, the boy looked straight at him. With cold, burning eyes.

Kokabiel's tense smile twisted with rage. He hurled himself at the boy, two spears of light in hand.

Naruto spun mid-air, parrying both spears with his sword.

A blast of wind shook the field.

"Naruto," he said calmly, two massive wings of dark flame unfurling from his back.

"Kokabiel," the fallen replied, understanding instantly. He pushed Naruto back and unleashed a flurry of attacks—attacks Naruto parried with one sword, almost effortlessly.

The demons watching were stunned. Their Phoenix comrade, holding his own against a five-winged fallen angel? A leader, no less?

The general in charge of the legion was equally shocked. He'd believed the Phoenix was just some arrogant fool who did good deeds but wasn't a warrior. Yet… by Lucifer… he was holding his own. And strangest of all—Naruto wasn't radiating any magic power. Not even a trace.

"How…?"

Other demons realized it too, trembling under Kokabiel's overwhelming aura. "Does such a thing even exist?"

Naruto sidestepped a spear, then another sneaky one aimed at his flank.

"Don't interfere!" Kokabiel roared at the distant fallen who'd thrown it.

"Take care of them!" Naruto barked to his allies as the barriers around them dissolved. They wouldn't just spectate.

Kokabiel grinned. The boy looked so young, yet he was strong. Killing him would be a true pleasure—a blow to the demon faction.

Naruto's eyes remained silent, fixed on the fallen. Unlike Yoruhime and his mother, who had pushed him to his limits but never sought to kill him, this opponent truly did.

Naruto raised the sword his mother had forged from a dragon's bones.

Kokabiel froze as a phantom image overlapped with reality—a towering giant with a blazing sword, muscles massive, presence suffocating. A long-buried, primal fear gripped him.

"KOKABIEL-SAMAAAAAA…!"

"Die," Naruto said coldly, bringing his blade down. No room to escape—

Naruto's eyes widened. A light spear had struck just behind Kokabiel.

"BOOOOOOOOMMMM…!"

A massive explosion shook everything.

"Activate the escape circles!"

"Yes, General!"

"We can't leave Naruto-sama—"

"Go. You'll only get in the way."

Through the smoke, his comrades heard his voice—alive. Relief spread quickly.

The general gave the order to retreat. He'd seen who had thrown that spear… Gabriel, the Genocider.

A fierce gust blew the smoke away, revealing fifteen angels hovering in the sky, one in the center with six wings.

Kokabiel cursed, spitting blood. Nearly killed—first by the boy, then by this lunatic. His clothes were torn, wounds visible.

Naruto, by contrast, looked better, though his armor was gone. Only pants, boots, and a deep cut across his chest—yet it didn't bleed. Slowly, the wound began to heal. His eyes stayed locked on the angels. That attack had been meant to kill.

"They survived… not fair," Kokabiel growled, teeth clenched.

But he didn't dare look away from Naruto either. Dangerous. Azazel had said he'd be an easy target—but now his legion was gone, and he'd barely survived.

The demon general, already retreating with the heirs, looked back with his enhanced sight. Three factions—chaos incarnate.

"Nova…"

"Grand Spear…"

"Kagutsuchi…"

"BOOOOOOOOMMMM…!"

The explosion shook everything, winds tearing across the battlefield. Angels and fallen alike were scattered.

Gabriel's calm blue eyes shone as she blocked an incoming attack with a light spear.

Kokabiel hissed through his teeth.

"Black: Fire!"

"AAAAAAHHHHHH…!"

Relief flickered in Kokabiel's face as the demon turned his flames on the "doves."

Gabriel kicked Kokabiel into the ground, then vanished in a flash to protect her siblings.

Naruto raised his head—just in time to see Gabriel's light spear descending.

"Shit!" he cursed, lifting his hand. But before he could, Kokabiel appeared above Gabriel, hands clasped.

"Eat this, bitch!"

"FLISSSSHH… BOOOOOMMMM…!"

Gabriel vanished into the dirt, ground trembling.

Kokabiel smirked—then spat blood as Naruto's fist slammed into his stomach.

"BOOOOMMMM…!"

Kokabiel crashed to the earth, Naruto already dodging another spear, seizing one with his bare hand, skin sizzling.

He countered, plunging his sword through an angel's chest. The light faded from their eyes.

Naruto vanished again, evading Kokabiel's follow-up.

"Retreat, brothers! I can't fight and protect you!" Gabriel cried, dragging Kokabiel before launching him with a kick.

The remaining angels obeyed instantly, disappearing into light.

Gabriel blocked a devastating kick, ground cracking beneath her. Her glowing blue eyes narrowed.

Naruto studied her. Full-body armor, strong and unyielding. The fabled Gabriel—her chest marked with a ruby heart.

He conjured a dark-flame sword, abandoning his mother's gift. Gabriel's light was far deadlier than Kokabiel's.

"Surrender, demon, and accept God into your heart," Gabriel said, her voice soft yet firm.

"Surrender…?" Naruto smirked.

"Yes," she replied, not catching his mocking tone.

"Hmhmhmhm…"

A low, manic laugh. Kokabiel's battered figure reappeared, grinning with bloodied teeth.

Naruto recognized it. A masochist. Still, useful—Gabriel was the real threat.

"Surrendering to you is death," Kokabiel spat. "And not even painless."

"You must suffer to be reborn," Gabriel said softly, warmly. "I don't wish it, but light is good. I must bathe you in it. Do not resist."

Naruto shivered with delight. "She sounds more like a demon than us," he muttered.

Kokabiel nodded grimly.

Then Gabriel lunged at Kokabiel, her true target. Naruto followed, forcing a three-way clash.

"BOOOOOMMMM…!"

Gabriel kicked Naruto aside—giving Kokabiel the opening to stab her flank. She spat blood, retaliated with a brutal kick.

Naruto coughed blood. Gabriel's light pierced even his fire.

But he grinned. His golden eyes flared. The ground shook. His true power surged at last.

Gabriel and Kokabiel both froze—feeling the murderous intent finally unleashed.

"Gabriel…"

"Kokabiel…"

New figures appeared.

Two angels beside Gabriel. Two fallen beside Kokabiel.

Then—Naruto felt a hand on his shoulder. A beautiful figure stepped protectively before him.

"Penemue, Kokabiel, Barakiel… Gabriel, Uriel, Metatron… Lucifer seeks you."

The name chilled the air.

"Leviathan…" Metatron hissed.

Naruto's eyes widened, power halting. Before him stood the Maou Leviathan, her long chestnut hair flowing, presence overwhelming.

"Can we…?"

"No," Kokabiel snapped. Against Gabriel, maybe. But not with that boy as well.

"Brother…" Metatron warned, ready to strike.

Gabriel shook her head. "We can't. Leviathan alone I might face. But not while protecting you all. And that boy… he's dangerous. He cursed me without me noticing. He wiped out half my brothers and Kokabiel's legion. He's not to be underestimated."

Even her allies stiffened at the admission. Gabriel, cursed? Impossible.

Yet Naruto stood silently, flames flickering.

The three sides stared in tense silence—until three magic circles lit up simultaneously.

"Lance of—"

"Nova Li—"

"Divine Sw—"

Light engulfed everything.

Human World – Phoenix Island – Phoenix Castle – Balcony.

Lilith sat comfortably, enjoying the sunlight. Freedom tasted sweet, even if her "death" had sparked war. As long as Naruto was safe, she didn't care.

Olga, her maid, sweated nervously. The Underworld was at war on two fronts, yet her mistress was calmly sunbathing.

"Any news, Olga?" Lilith asked lazily.

"None, my lady. Aside from the war… only that Naruto-sama's half-sister has been quietly visiting the human world. She hasn't been summoned to the battlefield."

"Azula Phoenix… I see," Lilith hummed, uninterested. Marianne's hatred for the bright young girl puzzled her, but it wasn't her concern. Demons had their own problems.

The two women continued basking in the sun.

Unknown Location.

Two hooded figures walked through a forest.

"Hmn… so this is the human world…" one said, his deep voice masculine, commanding.

"Odin-sama, you can't wander freely through this unknown dimension…" the other, feminine, replied with exasperation.

"Nonsense. Elohim isn't watching now… this is the perfect time to—"

"To what…?"

A third, unknown voice interrupted. Silence fell.
