Chapter 16 - Chapter 15

New Day – Morning – Phoenix Territory – Dining Hall.

Lady Phoenix could be seen eating her breakfast quietly, accompanied by her son's maid.

Marianne enjoyed her meal in a pleasant silence until a maid appeared, accompanied by none other than Serafall Sitri.

"Lady Phoenix…"

Serafall bowed respectfully from where she stood.

Marianne smiled, she liked the girl.

Marianne: "Serafall, come in…" – she offered, inviting her to take a seat at the table.

Serafall nodded and gave a silent respectful gesture to Olga, who returned it in kind.

Serafall sat down and took a plate, serving herself with the familiarity of someone who shared an intimate bond with the family.

Marianne: "What brings you here?…" – she asked with curiosity, bringing a piece of gargoyle heart to her mouth, a true delicacy.

Serafall pouted while cutting some chicken from the lavish buffet.

Serafall: "I came to see how Naruto was doing. After all, he hasn't visited me…" – she answered, clearly not too happy with her boyfriend.

Marianne nodded, sipping a bit of apple juice.

Marianne: "It's normal. He only woke up yesterday and I was worried about him, so he stayed with me all day…" – she explained calmly. Serafall understood—it was motherly love, of course.

Serafall: "Where is he now?…" – she couldn't help but ask curiously, noticing his absence.

Marianne: "He went out to check on a few things… I don't know how long he'll take…" – she replied quietly, though she and Olga both noticed Serafall's barely perceptible flinch.

Serafall cursed inwardly. Fallbium's father had sent her here to speak with Naruto, since today—now—was when the dispute would begin between the current Maou faction and the new revolutionary movement that wanted no more war. It was the perfect timing, with spies reporting Rizevim's absence from the Underworld. But with Naruto gone… Damn it, Lord Phoenix hadn't confirmed anything.

Marianne: "Is something wrong?…" – she asked curiously, but Serafall shook her head.

Serafall: "No, nothing…" – she replied, trying to maintain her composure and appear normal. Clearly, she couldn't leave now. If Lady Phoenix learned of the rebellion, she would raise arms in support of the current Maou faction. Serafall had to distract her—that was her mission.

Olga raised an eyebrow curiously.

Human World – Phoenix Island – Coast.

Sitting on the sand, comfortably resting in his mother's lap, was Naruto. He placed his hands on the soft, pleasant sand while listening to the crashing waves and bubbling surf.

Gaia: "It's a beautiful view…" – she said softly, happy to have her true son with her.

Naruto: "Yes…" – he replied calmly, staring at the blazing morning sun.

Gaia: "The primitives are learning, but their mating season is also arriving to grow the tribe. The warrior women have become fiercer in their competitions to select the best and most fertile to breed with you and bear your children… Will you do it? Have many children?…" – she asked with curiosity as Naruto looked into the distance.

Naruto: "Only with the most capable… They are all beautiful, it would be a sin to have just one wife—and boring too…" – he answered calmly.

Gaia: "Lucifer had only one wife…" – she pointed out.

Naruto: "Lilith is a special case…" – he replied with a drop of sweat. Gaia couldn't help but agree. According to Olga's stories, Lucifer and Lilith had a toxic and dangerous relationship. They never trusted each other, always waiting for the other to strike first.

Gaia hummed softly, but she didn't quite understand why it was different with her son. Lilith seemed calmer now, even genuinely affectionate toward him, according to Olga.

Gaia: "Forget it… Other races have appeared in the human world. Far from humans, they've fought among themselves and seem to be learning they are not the only ones in existence… They are beginning to classify themselves as factions…" – she revealed to Naruto, who listened silently.

Gaia: "The last dispute I saw was between Quetzalcoatl, leader of the Maya faction, and Odin, the father of Asgard… It was interesting, five days in total, but Odin fled in the end. Though Quetzalcoatl didn't go all out—she didn't transform… Oh, I befriended her, and also Amaterasu…" – she revealed calmly. Naruto nodded slowly, unfamiliar with any of those names.

Naruto blinked, staring at the back of his mother's neck with curiosity. Now that he noticed… she was sexy.

Naruto smiled and wrapped his arms around her abdomen before kissing her neck. He quickly noticed she didn't resist, and his ears turned red.

Naruto (thinking):I feel like I forgot something… – he thought with curiosity before dismissing it.

Underworld – Northern Zone of Lilith City.

It was a day like any other for the demons who came and went from their jobs and duties.

"Look…"

A demon pointed toward a large group of armored demons flying in the sky when suddenly a spear pierced through his mouth.

"BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…"

"Traitors!… Inform the Maous…"

A sudden, all-too-revealing shout spread panic. Some demons fled while others launched an attack, but among them was none other than Lord Belphegor.

Belphegor narrowed his gaze at the traitors, raising his hand as purple energy surrounded him.

A great portion of the demons in the sky suddenly plummeted like wingless birds.

"A Lord!"

"Shit… Repor—guahhh…"

"It's a cardinal b—Guhhghh…"

Those who recognized him didn't even finish speaking before losing their heads and limbs, blood raining down like a storm.

"Belphegor-sama!"

Five demons surrounded the cardinal in support, letting him attack from range while they advanced head-on.

Belphegor smiled inwardly at their quick and selfless response. They weren't even from his house, yet they supported him.

Belphegor spotted a crimson flash and pushed the young ones away as a barrier appeared before him, dispersing the strike.

Belphegor: "I never thought you'd turn traitor, hunting dog…" – he said calmly when none other than Zekram Bael, leader of House Bael, appeared before him.

Zekram ignored his words, his eyes sweeping over the civilians who stood by Belphegor's side.

Zekram: "It was fortunate I found you here. Had it been anyone else, they surely would've died…" – he said, more to himself than to Belphegor, who didn't understand and didn't care.

A glow enveloped Belphegor as a full suit of armor appeared around him, revealing his true demonic form.

Zekram frowned.

Zekram: "When this is over, I'll enjoy destroying your house and turning it into an obsolete extension…" – he said as his eyes turned blood-red, a deadly coldness filling them. Hatred was clear in his voice.

Belphegor: "You speak as if you could, dog…" – he mocked, entirely unimpressed by this disgrace of a demon.

Great gusts of wind began clashing as the rebellion officially erupted.

"BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…"

Southern Zone.

Much like the north, multiple demons launched surprise attacks to seize Lilith City, but they met swift retaliation from local forces. Lilith was the central city visited by all, making it easy to find several Lords or cardinals present. As a result, battles broke out and countless died within minutes.

Lord Sitri and Lord Agares faced none other than Lord Belial and Lord Marbas. A troubling situation—these were their elders, and the older they were, the stronger they became.

The same was happening across many parts of the Underworld, where many were caught by surprise but still managed to fight back against this brazen rebellion. The only exceptions were Phoenix Territory and the revolutionaries' lands, both already prepared for retaliation.

Phoenix Territory – Phoenix Castle – Garden.

As Serafall vanished, Lady Phoenix and Olga were left observing.

Olga: "She's hiding something…" – she said without hesitation the moment Serafall disappeared.

Marianne: "I noticed it too…" – she answered quietly, sipping her tea.

Marianne sighed.

Marianne: "I need to review some documents, let's go…" – she said, rising from her seat, only to see her "husband" and several guards approaching.

Marianne frowned.

Olga quickly summoned her staff, stepping protectively in front of Marianne.

Lord Phoenix was unfazed.

Lord Phoenix: "You will not leave the castle. And this time, Naruto will also obey orders—or he won't see you again…" – he said sternly, flames beginning to envelop him.

Marianne: "Haven't you learned? This is clearly an act of treason you won't escape… nor will they…" – she said, also addressing the twenty guards behind him.

The Phoenix guards hesitated slightly, but they were only following orders. Besides, Lord Phoenix had told them Naruto-sama must be weak, and Azula-sama was backing him with her legion.

Lord Phoenix scoffed.

Lord Phoenix: "I am still your husband, you can't accuse me of treason just for teaching you manners…" – he replied spitefully, lunging forward, only to be intercepted by Olga. A green dome formed around Marianne.

Lord Phoenix swung a flame-covered fist, but Olga deflected it with her staff, already conjuring attacks while dodging long-range strikes from the guards.

"Light: Nova!"

A sphere covered in lightning appeared at the tip of Olga's staff, which she hurled at the group without hesitation.

"BOOOOOOMMMMMM…"

A massive explosion thundered as five bodies fell.

Lord Phoenix: "You damn wretch, you'll die for this…" – he snarled, caring nothing for the fact she was his son's maid. She wasn't loyal to him, so she was useless.

Olga sneered, preparing a high-level spell. Clearly, Naruto wouldn't care if she blew up the castle itself.

"Watch out!"

Olga heard the shout as a shadow darted swiftly through the fading smoke. Before Lord Phoenix or Olga could react, Lord Phoenix was struck.

"Ahhhggghhh…"

He groaned, feeling his body go limp before collapsing unconscious.

Olga blinked at the strange girl who then tore through the Phoenix forces with terrifying ease.

Marianne's eyes widened in recognition—that girl was one of Azula's maids.

"Bye-bye…"

The stranger vanished as quickly as she came.

Marianne: "Release me!…" – she ordered urgently.

Olga blinked and complied, only to see Marianne rush past her in an instant.

Olga stared in shock as Marianne summoned a flaming sword and, without hesitation or a shred of mercy, drove it straight through Lord Phoenix's chest.

Olga's eyes widened—she herself had planned to neutralize him, just like the stranger had. Not this.

Lord Phoenix's eyes snapped open as he coughed up blood, his gaze locking on Marianne's cold, emotionless one.

Marianne: "I should have killed you long ago… just like I did with that bitch of a mother of yours when she dared whisper advice on how to be a good wife…" – she said icily before spitting on him and crushing her heel into his right eye.

As darkness overtook him, he could no longer feel pain. Only one question echoed in his fading mind:

"Azula… Why?"

Marianne, without hesitation, began burning the bodies—conscious or not, she didn't care. They were traitors. She watched until nothing remained but ashes.

Olga sighed. She truly hadn't expected this.

Just like in Phoenix Territory, countless parts of the Underworld erupted in unexpected betrayals and battles.

Lilith City – Lucifer Castle – Rizevim's Room.

Lying on his bed with a calm expression, Rizevim had just dismissed the servant who informed him about the multiple attacks breaking out across the Underworld.

Rizevim sighed and summoned a succubus—one of his spies.

A beautiful redhead appeared, floating in the room. Their eyes met, and she vanished immediately to carry out his order.

Rizevim (thinking):If you take too long, Naruto, you'll lose the throne… – he mused calmly. He had anticipated the reckless moves of fools like Katerea and others who wanted to resume a war he didn't care about. He didn't care about politics, nor his father's seat. All he cared about was killing and murdering indiscriminately. But if he acted now, he'd be helping someone else, and his philosophy forbade that. Besides, Naruto clearly had his own plans. Yes, his equal—a true demon amid a pile of trash. Someone worthy.

Rizevim smiled. He wanted to see what that walking calamity would do with the Underworld. Unlike the shameless ambitions of everyone else, Naruto was unique… He believed he was doing things for the greater good, but only ever created more problems than necessary. That's why the underworld had fallen silent, why he hadn't appeared during the war, leaving Rizevim to step in and sell weapons to the fallen. The answer was simple: Naruto was the cause.

He had once forced the three most important families of the underworld into war against each other simply because the son of one family had looked down on his "good boy" image. Naruto manipulated him, lured him to a rival house, violated their heiress, and killed her, leaving the boy unconscious and drenched in blood.

The third family got involved when secret archives were exposed, and chaos exploded—murders, looting, hatred. That was the underworld now, and Naruto's hands remained clean.

Rizevim shook his head. Naruto was like a bad omen for the underworld, now more dangerous than ever. A true demon—deceptive, and clearly mentally unhinged.

His gaze shifted as the door opened, revealing his servant Euclid.

Euclid entered and bowed.

Euclid: "My lord, as you commanded, everyone believes you've left the Underworld. We're ready to head in another direction…" – he reported calmly.

Rizevim hummed.

Rizevim: "No, now we'll do something more entertaining…" – he said with a crooked smile.

Euclid frowned, not understanding, but he would follow loyally regardless.

Rizevim rose from his bed, a wicked grin spreading across his face.

Headquarters.

The headquarters of Lilith City was also under attack by various demonic forces, unable to distinguish friend from foe. Intelligence hadn't yet gathered enough information.

But among the chaos stood a figure bearing the Phoenix emblem, untouched by either side. It was none other than Azula, calmly watching through the crowd at a figure who seemed to be one of the revolutionaries' leaders—no, the leader.

Azula: "Serafall Sitri…" – she said calmly as the armored Serafall glared at her coldly.

Serafall: "Traitor…" – was all she said, watching as a hooded figure appeared behind Azula.

Azula: "My maid will take care of you… You may proceed, Artoria. I'll handle another useless nuisance myself…" – she said with a mocking smile, shifting her gaze from Serafall to none other than Lady Sitri.

It would be exquisite to see which of the two would flee and leave the other behind.
