Leon Pov.
Leon slowly and carefully entered the police station, his footsteps echoing faintly in the silence. He loudly shouted, "Hello! Is anyone here?"
Hearing no response, he continued further in, passing the front desk and going up the small staircase. He cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted again, even louder this time, "Hellllllo!"
This time, a groggy voice shouted back, "Whaaaaat!!!!"
Turning the corner, Leon saw a man with short black hair and a thin goatee raising his head, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. The man groaned and muttered, "I just got to sleep…"
Leon blinked, a little thrown off. "Should you really be sleeping right now, Mr… um—"
"The name's Marvin Branagh," the man said, straightening up with a tired sigh. He gave Leon a once-over, noting his clean uniform and rookie posture. "From your appearance, I'd say you're the rookie that was supposed to arrive today. Boy, am I sad to see you here."
Leon nodded. "Yeah, I'm the rookie. My name's Leon S. Kennedy. And… why sad?"
Marvin gave a dry, weary chuckle. "You see the shit going on around here?"
Leon glanced around at the dim halls and nodded cautiously. "Yeah… about that. How come you're so calm about everything?"
"If we'd met yesterday, I'd have been a panicked mess," Marvin admitted, leaning against the wall. "But about half a day ago, a teenage Japanese girl named Saki showed up. Slaughtered all the zombies and monsters in the station, cleaned the place up, and helped us re-secure it. Right now, she and Elliot are out patrolling."
Leon furrowed his brow. "You left the heavy lifting to a teenager?"
Marvin let out a short laugh and shook his head. "She ain't an ordinary teenager. You'll understand when you eventually meet her. I saw that girl cut her way through a hallway full of zombies while casually walking forward, like she was taking a damn stroll."
Leon hesitated, processing that, then sighed. "I guess I'll take your word for it. But if they're patrolling, I should help." He started to leave.
"Wait a second," Marvin said, reaching for his belt. "Take these." He handed Leon a combat knife and a radio.
Leon strapped them to his belt, gave Marvin a firm nod, and headed out to explore.
After walking the halls of the police station for a while, Leon found it surprisingly empty of zombies. He managed to completely explore the western side of the building when Marvin's voice crackled through the radio, calling him back to the central hall.
Once Leon arrived, Marvin showed him a video feed of the outside. On it, he saw Claire standing in the courtyard in front of a locked gate. Marvin explained how to get there, and Leon followed the directions.
He found Claire by the gate, and after a brief conversation between them—one that was suddenly cut short by the crash of a helicopter slamming into the building—Leon was forced back inside.
Working quickly, he struggled to get the sprinklers running to put out the fire in the second-floor corridor caused by the wreckage. When he finally got them working and the flames died down, he stood staring at the ruined wall, trying to figure out how to move the crashed chopper.
Suddenly, the wreckage began to shift—then lift off the floor. Leon's eyes widened in shock as the helicopter was hurled out the hole in the wall like it weighed nothing. Standing where it had been was a massive monster clad in a green trench coat.
Leon's breath caught, and he tightened his grip on his pistol, bracing himself for a fight. The creature ran toward him at terrifying speed. Leon opened fire, emptying rounds into its chest, but it didn't slow down.
The moment it was upon him, instead of attacking, the monster shoved him aside like he was nothing and kept running down the hall. Leon hit the wall with a grunt, dazed and confused.
"What the hell…?" he muttered, watching as the creature thundered further away.
Then, before he could process it, something blurred past him. His eyes snapped to the motion just in time to catch sight of a teenage girl with black hair sprinting after the monster, a massive sword clutched in her hands. Her eyes burned with fury as she shouted, "Get back here and die like a man, you piece of shit!"
Leon stood frozen, his mouth half-open in disbelief. "…What the hell am I looking at?" His confusion only deepened, but instead of questioning it, he grit his teeth, pushed himself back to his feet, and took off after them.
Saki Pov.
Saki was chasing Mr. X around the police station, not giving him a moment's rest as she relentlessly hunted him through the various rooms and corridors. Her footsteps echoing through the halls, her blade flashing whenever she caught sight of him. Finally, she cornered him on the roof, cutting off his last escape.
Before he could run again, she hurled her massive odachi right at him. The blade skewered him straight through the chest, pinning the towering monster to the wall. Mr. X snarled and thrashed, desperately trying to free himself, his massive hands clawing at the steel.
But it was too late. Saki was already rushing him down.
She closed the distance in a blur, her fist raised and glowing with a deep red, crackling energy. The sinister light danced across her cute, smiling face, twisting it into something menacing. Mr. X's struggles grew frantic as Saki planted her feet, got into her stance, and launched her assault.
She started wailing on him, her fist cloaked in concussive energy. Each devastating blow didn't just break bone—it blew holes straight through his body. His inhuman frame buckled and ruptured under the storm of strikes.
Saki's flurry of punches grew faster, heavier, merciless. With every impact, more and more of Mr. X's body was destroyed, shredded into a bloody mist that painted the rooftop red. But she didn't stop. She kept hammering away, her fury pouring out in every strike, until there was nothing left of the so-called unstoppable tyrant.
The only proof that Mr. X had ever existed was a massive bloodstain on the wall.
Breathing hard, Saki wrenched her odachi free from the wall and let out a long, shaky sigh. Her shoulders trembled as the adrenaline slowly drained from her system, her satisfied grin betraying the catharsis of years of pent-up frustration finally unleashed.
"Finally…" she panted, her voice trembling with triumph. "Revenge is mine, you fucking stalker. I only regret I can't kill you twice. Out of all the Resident Evil bosses I hate the most, you're second only to Alcina—the fake-ass vampire bitch." She spat the words with venom, then growled under her breath. "Which reminds me… if I ever get a powerful vampire character, I'm coming back just to kill her let her last sight be a real Vampire."
Her rant finished, Saki was interrupted by the familiar ding from her watch. She quickly glanced at the glowing display as it updated:

Saki let out a low whistle as she scanned the numbers. "Okay, the perk is cool, and the stats are awesome. I thought I was strong after I unlocked energy manipulation when I cleared out the police station—but holy shit, three of them have nearly reached 100! But… more on that later."
She tilted her head and frowned. "Hey, computer, the hell is this Bloodlust gauge?"
The watch beeped, then responded in its calm, synthetic voice: With the unlock of the Berserk Form, your stat screen was updated to allow you to keep track of your Bloodlust, which will steadily increase as you do battle. Once the gauge reaches 100%, you will be forcefully entered into your Berserk Form. This will double your Strength and Agility, but cut your Endurance in half. You will not be able to control yourself until your Bloodlust is depleted.
Saki's eyes widened, and she blurted, "Oh, fuck me… Is there anything I can do about this?"
The watch replied: It is recommended to max out Familiarity as soon as possible to unlock the Xtatic Form. Once unlocked, it will replace the Berserk Form.
"Okay," Saki muttered, rubbing her temple. "I need to find some cannon fodder, quick."
She sheathed her odachi, jumped down from the roof, and left the police station temporarily to hunt zombies.
