Thalindra walked around the city, distracted by her wandering mind. She steps into the road ignoring the traffic lights. The tires of the cars scratched against the ground in an attempt to hold their brakes and not knock over the damsel in distress. She froze in her step as she felt the heat from the car over her skin.
She lifted her head to look at the vehicle. Drew, whose driver had almost knocked her over, got out of the car and ran to her, apologizing. This was the only time he had removed his eyes from the files he had buried his head in since the journey began.
