Noa watched the last notification for a moment.
[Warning: The path you choose here may alter your future streams]
Everything in his current situation felt weird. Starting from the transmigration to another world with a system, he ended up with a strange priest glaring at him.
That's why he hesitated to approach the man.
Still, it wasn't like he could turn back and run away. The only thing he could do was ignore his racing heart and complete the mission by talking to the priest.
At least he could learn more about the unseen.
'But how is it going to affect my future streams?' Noa thought, taking a sharp step forward.
The man, however, didn't move.
Standing in front of a shady building, his eyes locked on Noa.
The sun shone on his face, casting an unnatural light and making his soft expression stretch abnormally.
Seeing this, Noa gulped.
"Chat, I am doing this for you. Just remember me as a handsome, goofy guy."
Viewer_5: That's why I like this guy. He is doing all types of shit for the content.
gothlover: RIP!!!
Finally, when Noa stood before the priest, the man opened his mouth. "You shouldn't be here. You shouldn't even have found this place." His voice was hoarse, edged with emptiness.
Noa forced a grin.
And scratching the back of his head, he said, "I get that a lot, actually. But I still want to know more about that unseen stuff."
The man shook his head. "You don't need it. No one does. It's just a sword with no wars to wield it in."
TomatoSlayer: Someone got rejected from Hogwarts. Sucks to be Muggles, I know.
[Sub-Quest Triggered: Seek the Priest's guidance]
[Warning: This action will have consequences]
Suddenly, two rows of text flashed before Noa, forcing him to pose a question. 'What guidance? He is still skeptical about me.'
Despite that, instead of wasting time, he asked the man directly. "What do you mean by the sword with no wars?"
The priest's eyes narrowed.
He, along with the woman, had long since realized Noa was from a different dimension.
It wasn't their first time meeting someone like him. But the last had appeared decades ago, back when the world still needed outsiders.
"There are no calamities left to stop. And power from the unseen is power without purpose—it only breeds madness."
Both Noa and the chat listened carefully.
The world was nothing like what Noa had imagined.
He thought that by wielding the so-called unseen, he could fight against beasts and increase his viewership with entertaining streams.
But now he was hearing that this world didn't need magic.
"The only monsters," the man continued, "in this world are the ones who lost themselves to the unseen. And a foreigner like you won't be able to tame it."
"So…" Noa trailed his words. "Magic isn't a thing here?"
Of course, he was disappointed.
It was as if he had just gotten a new dream, only for it to be crushed right away.
The priest sighed, however. "Items touched, but not born from the unseen, are safe. We still use them to this day. They are tools, not weapons. That, perhaps, you may use… But you need to find them first."
Noa's eyes lit up.
He didn't even hesitate, ignoring the consequences for his future streams.
"Can you teach me? I promise I will no longer seek the unseen as long as you tutor me on how to use tools and where to find them."
Need2Pee: Not all dreams are crushed!
Viewer_27: Let's GOOO!
The priest eyed Noa for a full minute. Then he sighed, his voice no longer carrying a hint of anger.
"Sure," he said flatly. "I am called Galio, and I will show you the ways of forgotten magic."
[Choice Accepted: Relic Path Unlocked]
[Reminder: This action will have consequences]
Noa grinned. Again.
This time, his smile lasted far longer than usual. "Alright, old man Galio, I am ready to start my apprenticeship."
The priest's brows twitched.
He didn't argue.
Instead, he stepped aside, letting Noa peek past him to better see the building behind him.
"Is this where I am going to live from today onwards?" Noa asked, chuckling.
At that moment, a familiar chime rang in his head.
[Quest Completed]
[Requirement: Speak with the priest about the unseen]
[Reward: +20 SP | Feature Unlocked: Relic Codex (Basic)]
There was more to come.
[Sub-quest Completed]
[Requirement: Seek the Priest's Guidance]
[Reward: Unique Item: Beginner's Relic Pouch (Allows carrying up to 3 relics safely)]
Noa froze, not expecting such a delightful surprise.
He was just following his wishes to create the best possible content and got three amazing rewards as a bonus.
'But… what the hell is this relic codex?'
[Relic Codex (Basic): It is a personal archive for the magical items you encounter or use. Each relic would be stored in the database with its rarity, function, and origin. The higher the codex rank, the more complex items you can identify and even reveal their hidden properties]
Noa snorted to himself. 'So it's like a Pokédex, but it's a junk version. Got it.'
[Correction: The Codex is not "junk." It is a valuable feature for registering important information.]
Seeing the system's offended declaration, Noa almost burst out laughing.
Meanwhile, before he could even check the pouch, Galio turned towards the building, pushing open the dark wooden door as its hinges groaned.
It felt as if the building hadn't been touched for years.
"Come on in," the man said, inviting him with a soft nod.
Noa didn't hesitate.
He stepped forward while also reading through the chat messages. Now that their numbers had grown, it became harder to keep track of every message they left behind.
Viewer_36: I bet bro's balls are made of steel.
Viewer_41: There is no way this isn't staged. Which sane person would follow this strange man into this dark building?
…
Viewer_1: These new viewers are getting on my nerves.
gothlover: I hate to agree with this guy, but yeah, these ignorant bitches are too much, doubting our glorious blockhead.
Noa, on the receiving end, didn't really care what these new viewers thought about him.
He was about to show them the real magic with actual magical items. On live!
Just then, Galio turned in his direction. "Are you ready, boya?" he asked, pointing at the room ahead. "You are going to see the unseen for the first time."
