[New quest available]
Noa didn't even need to read the second window.
He could already guess what it was without even looking at it.
[Pay the full amount in your account toward your existing debt again. Leave no cent behind.]
Contrary to the previous situation, he didn't think too much of it. For one, he already expected the system to play this way, and he had to be a fool to complain because he received free money.
It wasn't a small amount either.
$15,000 was enough to change one's life—especially his after everything he had to go through.
Most of the money would have gone to the existing debt, even without the system requiring it.
So Noa sighed, his lips curling into another smile.
With that, he winked at Hana and walked back to the woman again, ready to repeat the same trick.
The receptionist met his gaze.
"Sir… again?" she exclaimed, trying to calculate Noa's objective.
Noa snorted and confirmed her guess. "Again." He then slid his ID and his card on the counter for the third time in a row.
The woman's brows lowered.
This was abnormal.
No one did this.
It felt like Noa was simply messing with her. 'Did I offend him somehow?' she questioned herself. She took the cards anyway, and though her fingers moved more slowly, she still typed something on her keyboard.
Hana, on the other hand, had covered her mouth.
She was laughing quietly, clearly enjoying the show. "Brother, you are so mean sometimes," she whispered, giggling.
Noa only smirked.
More than anything, he liked seeing Hana smile.
As an older brother, he wanted to be a shining pillar for his sister, and if Hana recognized his stupid actions, it was a win for him, nonetheless.
Behind them, the people didn't look as amused.
They had been waiting for Noa for a while now, and each time it seemed like he was done, he kept going back to the receptionist.
"Move it along, buddy!" someone even yelled from the line.
Noa didn't care.
If making people slightly angry was the only price for him to get thousands of dollars, he would gladly pay it a few times.
Keeping his calm, he ignored the shouting and watched as the receptionist completed yet another massive transaction. A quick beep later, a new receipt was printed out.
"It's done," the woman said, her sharp gaze lingering on Noa. "Is there anything you want my help with, sir?"
Noa didn't answer right away.
But he didn't move out of the way either.
He just stood there, waiting for the system to announce the mission completion.

'What a weird number,' Noa noted and smirked at the woman. "I don't want to bother you, but…" he started, his voice playful. "Can you remind me how much I still owe?"
The receptionist spent every ounce of her energy not to roll her eyes.
She wanted nothing more than to pull out Noa's hair. But knowing that she had to be patient with her clients, she answered instantly. "$16,070.47."
Hearing this, Noa shrugged.
He knew something was off when the system gave him this odd number. But upon learning his remaining debt, it made a lot more sense.
Just to prove his point, two new quest notifications flooded his view.

[Pay the full amount in your account toward your existing debt again. Leave no cent behind.]
This one was expected.
The second mission, however, seemed like a true challenge.
[New quest available]
[You need an additional $1.47 to cover the remaining debt. Convince the receptionist to cover the difference in your stead.]
Noa saw this and couldn't help but chuckle.
The woman noted his stillness and asked politely, "Sir, if you don't need anything else, could you please step aside so others can get through?"
"No," Noa shook his head, cutting her smoothly. "I want to settle everything I owe. Is that alright?"
She blinked.
Part of her wanted to snap, yell at him for not doing it sooner.
But her professionalism won over her emotions, and she said with a crooked smile, "Sure."
Then she took the cards back, about to end the transaction finally. Inside, she was beaming, relieved, and happy to finally end the business with Noa.
Suddenly, Noa gave her a sly smile. "I am short by $1.47," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Can you help me with that?"
The receptionist pinched the bridge of her nose.
She had years of experience working at this bank, and she had encountered countless unreasonable people before.
Somehow, Noa was testing every last bit of her patience.
So with her lips pressed tighter, she let out a sharp sigh and typed something on her keyboard.
The printer quickly spat out another piece of paper. This time, it had been written in bold letters that Noa's debt was cleared.
She then put the paper on the counter.
Her eyes avoided his. Clearly, all she wanted to do was get rid of Noa.
Noa, however, accepted it with a nod.
He hid his victorious grin as if nothing had happened, only thanking the woman with a quick bow.
As Hana giggled into her hands, and the people, including the receptionist, were happy to see him go, the siblings left the bank.
"I am so glad you are my brother," the little girl said proudly.
Noa pinched her cheeks. "That's how the business is done, my dear little sister," he announced and finally looked at the hovering system panels.

[Reward: $3,000 has been transferred to your account.]
Although Noa had less money than he had before, it was still more than what he had expected to leave with.
What's more, his debts were no more.
But his mind was occupied with the second quest and its reward.
