Seeing this, Noa's lips parted slightly. 'This is easier than I thought.'
He knew the system would issue a mission sooner rather than later. That's why he wanted to meet the woman in the first place.
And even though he had come to like her company, Noa wasn't about to let it distract him from what really mattered. With that in mind, he coughed, ready to restart the conversation.
But Clara beat him to it. "What's wrong?" she asked, noticing the shift in his eyes.
"I was about to ask," he said after clearing his throat. "Can you tell me more about yourself?"
The woman eyed him for a moment.
Obviously, she was surprised by Noa's sudden question. The boy didn't strike her as someone who would ask something like that, let alone with the sincerity he was showing.
