Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – The Monster’s Gambit

The sky above Namek blazed white and crimson as Gohan and Buu clashed, each blow splitting the air like thunder. The ground quaked beneath their fury, emerald oceans swelling with waves that slammed into the distant shores.

Bulma huddled near the Dragon Balls, shielding her eyes from the bursts of light. "This isn't a fight… it's a cataclysm…"

Gohan roared, his aura igniting brighter, forcing Buu back with a flurry of strikes. Each punch hammered into the monster's body, tearing chunks away, only for the pink flesh to twist and reform. Still—Gohan's hits were faster, sharper. Buu's grin faltered.

"You sure hit hard," Buu admitted, catching Gohan's fist mid-swing. His crimson eyes narrowed, his voice dropping into a low growl. "But strength alone isn't enough. You won't beat me."

Well, I didn't expect everything to go according to plan… but this is starting to get on my nerves.

Gohan grimaced, straining against the monster's grip. "Then I'll destroy you until there's nothing left to regenerate!" His aura flared, a white shockwave blasting Buu away.

The monster tumbled across the plains, his laughter echoing even as half his torso was missing. His body ballooned grotesquely, knitting itself whole again. Then, suddenly, his grin returned—wide, manic, deadly.

"Heheheh… Heh… Heheheh."

Gohan's instincts screamed. He stiffened as Buu's energy spiked—wild, unstable, growing far too fast. The air itself trembled, sparks of pink lightning splitting the sky.

Bulma's heart stopped. "N-no… he's… he's going to—"

"Explode," the Namekian translator whispered, his voice breaking. "He's going to blow himself apart!"

Buu threw his arms wide, his body swelling like an expanding balloon, cracks of light flashing across his flesh. "Let's see how you handle THIS, boy!"

"GOHAN, MOVE!" Bulma screamed.

But Gohan didn't retreat. He clenched his teeth, aura blazing around him. "If you think you can take me out this way… you're wrong!"

The two warriors locked eyes—one burning with determination, the other with madness—before Buu erupted.

The explosion tore across the land, a sphere of blinding light swallowing mountains, oceans, and sky. Namek itself groaned under the devastation, the shockwave racing outward for miles.

Bulma was hurled back, barely shielded by the Dragon Balls' radiant glow. The translator collapsed, blood trickling from his mouth, his screams lost in the roar.

When the light faded, the battlefield was unrecognizable. A massive crater smoldered where the plains once stood, smoke billowing into the turquoise heavens.

Bulma staggered to her feet, coughing, eyes darting wildly. "Gohan! Where's Gohan?!"

For a moment, there was only silence. Then—a flicker of light.

High above the ruins, Gohan hovered, battered but alive, aura flickering weakly around him. His clothes were torn, blood tracing down his arm, but his eyes burned with fury. "Buu… you won't… escape me."

Far below, scattered chunks of pink flesh slithered together, writhing like worms. Slowly, they merged, reforming into Buu's grotesque silhouette. His laughter bubbled up again, weaker but triumphant.

"Heheheh… bought myself some time." His gaze slid toward the ground, where five Dragon Balls still pulsed in the dirt. "Now it's my turn."

Bulma gasped, rushing forward instinctively—but a tendril of flesh lashed out, knocking her unconscious.

Sorry, but I need a hostage in case things go awry. When I return, I'll pay this debt back.

Gohan's voice thundered from above, hoarse but filled with rage. "I won't let you touch them!"

Buu smirked, wiping blood from his lip as his form stabilized. "Try and stop me, boy. Let's see if you can still fight… after surviving that."

Then he turned to the Namekian and muttered, "Well… my plan was to absorb you after taking the Dragon Balls, but I have no time now. Hopefully, I won't lose too much of myself…"

His body stretched toward the Namekian, engulfing him completely.

The Namekian's scream was cut short as his body disappeared into Buu's gelatinous mass. The pink monster's flesh rippled violently, his form twisting and mutating as the absorption took hold.

His torso stretched taller, his frame leaner yet more defined. Green accents spread along his arms like veins, pulsing with stolen power. His eyes shifted—still crimson, but now sharper, more cunning. A faint antenna-like crest extended from his head.

"No time to waste." Buu hissed, flexing his new limbs.

Bulma stirred weakly at his feet, groaning from the earlier blow. Buu's gaze snapped to her, and in a flash a tendril scooped her up, pulling her close against his chest. "You'll stay with me, Bulma. A little insurance…" His grin stretched. "Your friends value you far too much."

He turned his attention to the Dragon Balls scattered on the ground. With a gesture, his body extended, swallowing each glowing orb. One by one, the five Dragon Balls sank into his chest, vanishing beneath the surface of his malleable flesh. From within, they pulsed faintly, locked inside his body like treasures in a vault.

"Safer this way," he muttered, patting his torso as if sealing a pocket. "Now no one can take them from me."

High above, Gohan descended shakily, blood dripping down his chin, fury blazing in his eyes. "BUU!"

Buu glanced up lazily, still holding Bulma captive. "Relax, boy. I don't need to fight you anymore—not yet."

His aura spiked, then he shot into the sky, a streak of pink light across the turquoise heavens.

Bulma cried out, struggling in his grip. "GOHAN!"

The young warrior pushed off the ground, blasting after him, but Buu's laughter echoed across the Namekian skies.
