Chapter 13 - Dark Secret About The Angel Of War's Disappearance

Unknown Pov...

I appeared just in time, in my mistress's dimension.

It is a wide dimension filled with white clouds that stretched far and wide. White doves of different sizes flew around, either in groups or individually.

The movement of white doves to and fro plus the white clouds and blue sky, made the whole dimension seem divinely beautiful.

The only thing in sight is a floating island that floated freely and proudly in the blue sky filled with white clouds.

Allowing spiritual energy to flow through my body, I flew down easily and landed on the floating island.

Landing on the soft grass that grazed the island, I took a deep breath in and closed my eyes in order to ravish the natural air that filled the floating island.

Being in the human world with their already polluted air, mostly from industrial activities, was just like torture.

Despite the fact I am a demon king, I still really do need fresh air.

My mistress's floating island is quite beautiful and it has an essense that speaks of home sweet home.

There is a big, gigantic and enormous tree that covered more than half of the floating island.

This tree has a life of it's own. It is a spirit of nature and it fills the whole island with nature's blessings.

And also, there are a lot of pure pretty flowers that are standing, rooted to the ground. It made the island more and more beautiful.

There are also little plant fairies that take up the duty of catering for the flowers on the island. They water, feed and improve the growth of the pretty flowers with their magical abilities.

These little plant fairies are quite rare but it's a miracle that my mistress has so many of them on her island.

"Admiring the island again?!"

A female voice, both melodic and sweet to the ears, jolted me out of my reverie and I couldn't help but snap my head towards the source of the voice.

Seeing the source to be my supposed mistress (and possible lover), I flashed a smile at her and dipped my head down, in a silent reverence of her presence.

"You look lovely as ever, mistress".

My words seemed to touch her heart as she gave me lovely smile that made me go almost crazy.

Naturally, she's a pretty Angel. She had purple eyes that seemed to sparkle anytime she smiled. Her Angel wings were also purple in colour and they wrapped around her back, humming softly while giving her protection.

She shape was slender and beautifully full and her skin was smooth with a big plump breasts that stood in front. Also, she had full lips that were painted purple adding to her purple-like charm.

There's absolutely no way, a demon king like me wouldn't fall for her. Too bad, I will have to wait for a little more time before I can finally win her heart.

Or maybe, I am already close to doing that.

"So...why are you here?"

My mistress spoke, dragging me from my thoughts when she noticed I was just weirdly staring at her. The whole atmosphere was kinda getting weird around us.

Being dragged from my thoughts, I smiled awkwardly making my mistress to raise one of her thin eyebrow.

"Nothing much..... I just wanted to let you know about the developments of the mission you sent me on".

My mistress grinned.

"You and I know very well that, that's not the real reason you are here. I know very well you are here because you want to see me. Isn't it?"

I chuckled.

"Maybe. Cause, I do want to see you".

"Okay then, come sit down for a bit and let's talk".

She said as she turned and started walking towards the huge tree.

I didn't waste time in following behind as she led me towards the huge tree. We got closer to the huge tree and from my point of view, I could see a big tree house with a group of plant fairies flying around the tree house.

The tree shielded the tree house, as it being built in between the tree and not on top the tree.

I knew very well that the tree house was built with magic and not manually. I took my gaze to my mistress who is currently in front of me, her steps filled with angelic grace as she walked. Her purple wings, still giving out that soft hum.

"Why stare at my back?"

I grinned lightly.

"Just admiring your beauty".

My mistress chuckled at my words.

"Let's just get to the tree house, I think there's a lot for us to talk about".

"And I thought it was just about letting you know about the developments of my mission".

"I think it's more than just the mission".

My mistress said as she suddenly spread out her purple wings, startling me. She spread out her wings as she lifted her self up into the air, a wave of wind blowing against my face.

"Sorry!..."

My mistress shouted back at me as she flew straight towards the tree house.

I didn't waste time in also allowing spiritual energy to flow through my body and lifting myself into the air. I flew after her using spiritual energy and in no time we were both within the insides of the tree house.

"What's there to talk about, apart from the development of my mission?"

I suddenly asked, immediately I landed on the bamboo floor of the tree house, my mistress already standing a few feet away from me.

My mistress sighed.

"It's about the whole reason why I gave you the mission".

I raised an eyebrow hearing her words.

Tamara Pov....

"Isn't the reason about bringing back the Angel of war?" Unknown said, his eyebrow raised in a questioning way. "Or is there any other ulterior motives behind the mission?"

"Not actually, the truth is I don't really have any ulterior motives but have you ever wondered why I am so bent on bringing back the Angel of war who has suddenly disappeared for so long".

Unknown shook his head sideways.

"It's because I feel guilty".

Unknown seemed startled by my answer or should I say surprised.

"Guilty? Why?"

I took a breath in.

"There's a darker secret to the Angel of war's disappearance and I'm gonna tell you, but first of all you are going to promise me not to tell anyone about whatever I'm to tell you".

Unknown seemed conflicted by my words but nodded afterwards.

"By the love I have for you, I promise not to tell anyone anything that you tell me".

Seeing his sincerity I decided that I would tell him but not now.

"I will tell you, I'll reveal everything to you and the reason why I am bent on ensuring that the Angel of war is brought back". I said. I walked to a wooden chair close by and sat down. "But first of all I would want you to complete the mission".

"So if I complete the mission, you'll tell me the real secret behind the mission?"

"Yeah..... I'm sure you've already merged the first soul with the soul of a governor's son, I'm I right?

Unknown nodded. He stretched his right hand and a golden glowing orb appeared.

"I haven't merged this second soul with a human soul. Once I merge this second soul with a human soul then the mission would be complete".

"That's impressive, then that means I am two steps ahead".

My words must have confused him because confusion was surely written on his face.

"That aside, I was able to identify that the seal that had sealed the two souls of the Angel of war in the two stone tablets was actually a demonic seal and we both know that a demonic seal can only be unsealed by a demon king".

Unknown suddenly announced making me to look at him with a serious look.

"That's one of the reason I needed your help for this mission from the very beginning and I'm grateful you let go of your pride to assist me.... because without you, there's absolutely no way I would have been able to unseal the souls of the Angel of war from the two stone tablets".

"It's nothing to mention, as long you agree to be my mate, I am ready to do anything for you. Don't forget you have saved my life twice".

His words made me smile.

"That was in the past".

"But it's still the reason I fell in love with you and agreed to be your servant for a hundred years".

"Don't worry, by the time you get back from merging the soul of the Angel of war with a human soul, I'll tell you the dark secret of this mission and what had actually happened to the Angel of war that had made him to disappear".

"No rush and no worries. I understand if you don't want to tell me now but anyways, let me be on my way and I'm sure to be coming back with good reports".

I nodded in gladness as he flashed a smile at me before turning and lifting himself into the air, even without wings. In no time he disappeared from my sight.

I leaned back on the wooden chair I was sitting, a lot going through my mind and heart.

'Did I make the good decision in wanting to tell him the truth about the Angel of war's disappearance? Would be keep it a secret if I told him that the Angel of war was betrayed and killed by his own brother? Would he be able to take it if he finds out that the almighty Angel of war is no more and his souls were just recently unsealed from two stone tablets?'

I just hope he merges the second soul of the Angel of war with a human soul. That would mark his reborn and he would be reborn as two different individuals.

I sighed tiredly as more and more thoughts filled my mind..
