Chapter 262 - Chapter 262

A figure like a flaming meteor crashed into the earth.

The blazing flames burning over his body carved a line of fire across the sky—truly like a fire meteor falling.

A thunderous boom followed, and the whole town jolted violently at that instant.

Huge cracks split open and spread across more than a dozen streets.

At the center, a human-shaped crater had been blasted out, still radiating scorching heat—so deep that even a reishi thread couldn't probe its depth.

On the nearby ruins, Candice and the others stared, dumbfounded.

They really hadn't expected Cole to hit this hard.

This time, he didn't grab him by the neck—he smashed him down with a single punch. Judging from Bazz-B's face, it looked like even his bones had been shattered.

And the impact when he hit the ground—dozens of times stronger than what they'd suffered.

They even started wondering if he was going to punch straight through the Wandenreich.

Under a slab of stone somewhere in the rubble, Yoruichi—in her black-cat form—couldn't help licking her little paw, muttering,

"Making this much noise… won't the Quincy in the Wandenreich start to suspect something? And you only did a simple disguise…"

But after seeing Cole's brutal methods, she also felt strangely relieved.

Even if there were many Sternritter, to Cole they were still just small fry—one punch each.

Soul Society… probably fine.

In the sky, the Sternritter were also frightened by that punch's power, staring at Cole in disbelief.

"This monster… he sent Bazz-B flying with nothing but brute force. Isn't his Blut way too strong?"

"His Hirenkyaku (Flying Sickle Steps) is fast too."

"He didn't even use a spirit bow. Just pure brute strength. He's even more violent than the Quincy from a thousand years ago."

"If His Majesty gave a monster like this a Holy Schrift… how strong would he become?"

"Hey, hey, hey—aren't you all being way too spineless? We're the Sternritter! Are we really going to bow our heads to the Military Police?"

Arguments broke out in a noisy mess.

In the Wandenreich's thousand-year history, they'd never run into something like this before.

For a moment, they honestly didn't know what to do.

The next second—

Flames burst out from countless cracks, and Bazz-B crawled up from the crater, his face and body drenched in blood, furious to the extreme.

"You bastard… I won't forgive you."

Even in the blood war a thousand years ago, he'd never suffered injuries this severe.

And now—

He'd nearly been punched to death by a mere holy weapon.

Rage flooded his mind. Even though his head was spinning, he still swayed as he forced himself to stand, violent flames gathering across all five fingers.

Seeing that, Cole—still in the sky—looked over in surprise.

"Your face is pretty tough. After that punch, I figured even if it didn't kill you, it'd at least take half your life."

He had hit the head—the most fragile part of the human body.

And the force he used was enough to reduce a mountain to rubble.

Bazz-B nearly exploded with rage.

If he hadn't activated Blut Vene at the last second, he really would've been left half-dead.

Seeing Bazz-B still trying to attack, Cole slowly exhaled, summoned his massive spirit bow, and aimed downward at him.

"Honestly, I've barely ever used Heilig Pfeil (Sacred Arrow)… but I can give it a try."

As he spoke, Cole gripped the sky-blue giant bow in his left hand, drew the string with his right, and formed a sky-blue arrow from reishi.

Bazz-B clenched his teeth and thrust all five fingers up toward the sky.

"Using that ordinary spirit bow… you think you can crush my Holy Schrift?!"

"Ah!"

Cole released his right hand.

The sky-blue arrow shot down like a meteor.

And that shot was no different from the arrow he'd used earlier to shatter Candice's lightning.

But it wasn't over.

After firing, Cole immediately nocked another arrow. His fingers opened and closed repeatedly—arrow after arrow falling like a meteor shower.

In just thirty seconds—

Three hundred and seventy-two arrows rained down from the sky.

Cole couldn't help sighing, then knocked the side of his head with his stone hand.

"As expected… my shooting speed is still too slow. Forget these guys—even Ishida is faster than me…"

Any Sternritter could casually fire hundreds of arrows per second.

Ishida was a bit weaker, but even he could fire dozens per second.

Only Cole—having just mastered the Quincy bow—lacked technique. No matter how hard he tried, the number wouldn't go up.

Which meant the power hadn't reached its limit.

But Cole's dissatisfaction made Bazz-B completely lose it.

His eyes went wide as he watched hundreds of blue arrows tear through his flames like rotten wood.

They were clearly arrows—yet they swelled larger than javelins.

The spirit power compressed inside them radiated a terrifying aura.

…It's over. It's going to blow—

Despair filled Bazz-B's eyes as he watched those javelin-sized blue arrows swell again—thousands of times larger.

A bewitching blue light flooded the entire sky.

"Rumble—!!!"

"Rumble—!!!"

"Rumble—!!!"

World-ending explosions erupted one after another, roaring through the entire Wandenreich like the apocalypse had arrived.

The earth shattered into ruin, soil blasting upward into mound after mound—

Only for those mounds to be blown apart again in the next instant.

Flying rocks and soil nearly buried the city. Countless Quincy screamed and fled in panic.

Even the Sternritter in the sky could feel the blast's terrifying power.

As Nödt swallowed hard and couldn't help looking at Jugram.

"Jugram… aren't you going to save Bazz-B?!"

As far as he knew, Jugram and Bazz-B were close friends.

Yet Bazz-B was getting beaten so badly it made even him uneasy, and Jugram still didn't move.

Jugram stared down at the dust below and said flatly,

"An attack of this level still can't kill Bazz-B."

Hundreds of explosive blue arrows looked devastating.

But whether Cole had intentionally not aimed, or he simply wasn't good at archery, a portion of the shots landed in empty areas.

With only the shockwaves—

At most, Bazz-B would be heavily injured.

And that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It might stop the Sternritter from being so arrogantly overconfident.

The Sternritter listening to that were full of black lines.

It won't kill him, so you just… don't care?

Heavy injuries still hurt like hell, you know?!

Then, Jugram—still as composed as a noble—turned his head, looking down at Cole from above, and said calmly:

"You're called Cole, aren't you? What exactly is your purpose in making trouble here?"

The moment he saw Jugram's expression, Cole felt his teeth ache. He scratched his head instinctively.

"Seeing that face… why does it annoy me so much?"

Different races.

Different factions.

And yet the moment he saw Jugram, he immediately thought of Byakuya.

The same kind of "noble."

The same kind of arrogance.

Like no one else existed in their eyes.

If the two of you ever met, maybe you'd actually be able to talk—

No. You'd probably just fight.

After all, the world can't have two "king-of-BS" types at once.

Cole mocked internally. Seeing Jugram not respond, he snorted and said:

"My purpose? I only have one—rebuild the Military Police. I won't let you Sternritter be the only ones running the show."

The Sternritter frowned one after another.

A thousand years ago, the Military Police had been His Majesty's right-hand men.

But in the thousand years since, the Sternritter had dominated alone. They had no desire whatsoever to see the Military Police rise again.

After all, the Wandenreich wasn't large, and it didn't have the resources to support two powerful organizations.

Jugram showed no reaction and only said evenly,

"But the Military Police still exists. Why call it a rebuild? Are you trying to start a war with the Sternritter?"

At those words, the Sternritter's eyes turned hostile.

Cole was strong—but who among them was weak?

If they really fought—

With their numbers and their powerhouses, they'd beat the crap out of this holy weapon.

Cole curled his lips into a smile.

"I want to rebuild the Military Police because I want it to be stronger than the Sternritter."

"If you want to go to war, that's fine too. After all, only by crushing you can I rebuild the Military Police properly…"

As he spoke, Cole casually flexed his fist, smiling.

"After all, I'm the future Legion Commander of the Military Police. In terms of status, I'm higher than every one of you—and naturally, my strength is higher than every one of you too."

Hearing such arrogance, cold light flashed in the Sternritter's eyes.

Cang, for example, couldn't hold back. He slowly clenched his fist, his arm turning steel-gray as he spoke:

"I'll admit your Blut is strong—but can your brute force break my defense?"

Another Sternritter, Driscoll, bared a cruel grin and laughed loudly.

"That's right. If you want to challenge the Sternritter, you'd better have the ability to do it!"

As he spoke, he activated his Holy Schrift—Mass Slaughter.

He clenched his fist, and violent spiritual pressure surged outward from his hand.

Both sides were now completely at a standoff, as if a single spark would ignite a full-scale fight.

At this critical moment, Jugram still wore that unhurried expression and said calmly:

"Holy weapon Cole—daring to act out at a time like this… aren't you afraid His Majesty will awaken and punish you?"

The Sternritter's hearts tightened as they all thought of Yhwach's terror.

To Shinigami, Yhwach might just be the Quincy King—an enemy of Soul Society.

But to Quincy, Yhwach was the supreme king.

Their creator.

Because he existed, they existed.

Their lives were held in his thoughts—one Auswählen and their lives would be taken away.

So to them, Yhwach wasn't merely the Quincy King.

He was a god who could decide their lives.

That was why—even though Yhwach had slept for a thousand years—they still didn't dare disobey his orders.

Hearing Jugram threaten him with Yhwach, Cole raised his brows slightly and smiled.

"Aren't we Quincy supposed to decide status by strength?"

"If I defeat you, doesn't that prove I have the right to stand above you, to become His Majesty's right-hand man?"

"And if you're defeated by me… what right do you have to serve His Majesty?"

"At the end of the day, you trash who lost a thousand years ago—what right do you have to rule this place?"

The moment Cole finished those sharp questions, the Sternritter exploded, glaring at him in furious outrage.

"You dare call us trash?!"

"You're just an ordinary holy weapon…"

"You think improving your Blut means you can stand shoulder to shoulder with us?!"

"You don't even have a Complete Holy Form or a Holy Schrift—what are you going to use to fight us?!"

Now even Jugram couldn't stop it.

The Sternritter surged forward together, charging at Cole.

Even if they believed in personal strength and disliked ganging up—

Cole had already proven his power.

In a one-on-one fight, it was nearly impossible to break this "ordinary holy weapon."

Driscoll attacked first, laughing wildly as he drew his spirit bow and fired over a thousand arrows in an instant.

"Let me be the one to end your life!"

Cole stepped forward, clenched his fist, and rushed in—planning to take down this arrogant idiot first.

But in a flash—

Cang, whose Holy Schrift was Iron, appeared in front of Cole. Steel wings unfolded behind him.

With a thunderous boom, Cang was forced back dozens of steps.

Cracks spread across his steel wings.

But he still managed to tank Cole's blow.

Cang looked genuinely surprised for once. He flapped his steel wings in his Complete Holy Form, turning his entire body into steel.

"Your strength is dozens of times greater than Minnie's. Even she can't break my defense."

Down below, Meninas growled angrily.

"If I went all out, I could definitely smash your steel to pieces!"

Cang didn't respond.

His Holy Schrift and strength ranked near the top even among the Sternritter.

Meninas McAllon wasn't someone who could compare.

Blue arrows rained down on Cole like a storm, clanging against him with crisp ringing sounds.

And the power of those Heilig Pfeil actually made Cole feel a bit of pain.

He slowly rolled his neck, then glanced at the dozen-plus Sternritter around him and smiled.

"That stings a little. Yeah… fighting you all in this form is a bit too arrogant."

Hearing that, the Quincy present were shocked.

This guy… does he have another form?

Is it a Quincy Complete Holy Form?

While they were still thinking—

Cole exhaled, and the ruined buildings around him broke apart like drifting dust, transforming into blue spirit particles that flowed into his body.

"You ever heard of… Scattered Spirit Gloves?"
