A Mountain Walk
The wind whipped across the rocky peaks of the mountain, sharp as blades. Han Xing's crimson qi flickered faintly around him, still resonating from his Demon Beast Mountain training.
Ahead, Ling Su Ren stumbled over jagged rocks, panting.
"Wait up!" she called, frustration clear in her voice.
Without hesitation, Han Xing bent and scooped her into his arms.
Her face burned red like fire. "W-what are you doing?! Put me down! Everyone is watching!"
Han Xing's crimson eyes glimmered with calm amusement. "You run too slow. With me carrying you, we'll get there faster."
Her arms flailed helplessly, though his grip was unshakable. "I can walk on my own!"
"I know," he said flatly. "But this is more efficient."
Su Ren's heart hammered in her chest. Does he not understand what this means? For a maiden to be carried in public… no one has ever dared touch me like this .
By the time they reached Commander Ling's residence, her face was hotter than flame qi. She scrambled from his arms, glaring fiercely.
"I'm not talking to you anymore!" she declared, storming away.
Han Xing tilted his head slightly. "Strange." What wrong with her.
Mission Briefing
Commander Ling's expression was grim as he entered.
"Han Xing," he said, "a Demon General of the Berserk Clan has struck near the border. He possesses near-unlimited stamina and overwhelming attack power. Worse, when driven to near-death, he enters Rage Mode doubling his strength." And he get a nickname they call him the Berserker of the berserk demon clan.
Han Xing's crimson eyes narrowed. "And the target?"
"The fairy maiden of the Celestial Moon Sect, Xiao Yueli, and her companions. They are hiding, but if the Berserk Clan finds them, it will be a massacre."
"What about her guardian?" Han Xing pressed.
Ling's jaw tightened. "He betrayed the Celestial Moon Sect. He a spy from a demon sect they betrayed humanity and join hand with the demon they worship the demon god ."
Han Xing was silent for a moment. "Then the mission is not just a rescue. It's a test". "And for those who betrayed humanity I will kill them all as they all haves no right to live."
Ling gave a faint nod. "Correct. You will go with the Azure Dragon squad. But you go with only five."
He gestured to the side, this is Captain Lu, Vice-Captain Wang Yi Suxi, the archer Tian Di, and two others stepped forward.
"Prepare well," Commander Ling said. "Your squad must move quickly, without drawing too much attention."
"I am ready," Han Xing replied.
Doubt on the Training Ground
When Han Xing was introduced to the squad, the whispers began immediately.
"He's too young.""Foundation Building stage? My cousin's stronger.""This mission is suicide if we bring him."
One of the men, a broad-shouldered fighter with a scar running down his jaw, stepped forward. His name was Pei.
"You," Pei sneered, pointing at Han Xing. "He unqualified for the mission. Kids like you should go back to drinking your mother's milk."
Han Xing's crimson gaze flickered is this a challenge if so. "I accept your challenge."
The training ground grew deathly silent.
Pei grinned with rage in his voice. "Good. I'll crush you in five moves."
They moved to the dueling platform. Scouts and soldiers gathered, whispers buzzing through the crowd.
"He's going to be crushed.""Poor kid, he won't last a round.""Pei might send him straight to the hospital."
Captain Lu stepped forward. "Enough. This duel is unnecessary."
But Commander Ling's voice cut through coldly: "If that fool wants to die so badly, let him."
Captain Lu looked at him sharply, but the commander's expression gave nothing away.
On the platform, crimson lightning began to flicker around Han Xing's feet, coiling up his body like serpents. Across from him, Pei roared as a phantom tiger rose behind his back, its shadow looming.
The duel began.
Duel: Five Rounds
First Round: Pei's Tiger Fist slammed down, shattering stone. Han Xing blurred aside with Violent Sky Thunder Step, crimson lightning crackling at his heels.
Second Round: Han Xing's qi condensed into a dagger wrapped in scarlet lightning. He slashed toward Pei's ankle. Sparks burst as Pei barely dodged.
Third Round: Pei countered, fist striking like a tiger's roar, but Han Xing flowed around it, his aura cold and steady.
Fourth Round: Lightning flared as Han Xing vanished, reappearing behind Pei. The crowd gasped.
Fifth Round: A crimson dagger pressed cold against Pei's neck.
The fight was over.
Han Xing's voice was flat, calm: "You said five moves. You were right."
Pei froze, humiliated, sweat dripping down his back. Slowly, Han Xing withdrew the dagger and turned away without another word.
The crowd whispered in awe. The stray dog had bared his fang.
Final Scene – In the Cave
Far away, within a shadowed cave, Xiao Yueli knelt beside her guardian. His breath was shallow, blood soaking his robes. Her team of disciples huddled behind her, injured and terrified one disciples sad what do we do are we all go to die here I don't want to die I'm still young.
Outside, the roars of Berserk Clan demons echoed closer.
