3rd POV
After Carmen put on the gloves and boots, she left the storage room preparing to rescue the imprisoned Mr. Incredible, but what she didn't know was that other characters were working to complete their own goals.
After discovering the knocked out guards, security around the entire compound was put on alert. Patrols were doubled and camera monitors were closely watched.
Work on phase three was speed up to ensure a successful launch. All this activity to ensure no problems on the ground... created a blind spot in the sky.
A plane went unnoticed as it approached the island, piloted by one Mrs. Incredible, a.k.a Elastigirl.
After her calls for clearance went unanswered and not seeing any runway on the island, she decided to parachute in with her children. As the plane passed by the island, she placed it on autopilot and proceeded to jump out the back.
Once the three of them landed within the jungle, Elastigirl shared the stored costumes with her children, Violet and Dash.
Elastigirl 1st POV (Carmen just entered the storage room)
"Okay listen to me you two. You were never supposed to get involved with this lifestyle, but that time has long passed... now I need you to put these on and keep yourselves out of sight."
Violet and Dash look at the red costumes and black masks that I handed to them. Looking back at me, Violet asks me a question.
"Why? Why did you come here? and why do we need these?"
... "Your father has gotten himself into some trouble and I came to drag him out of it. These costumes will help hide your identity, to ensure that everyone understands who you are... heroes."
Dash looked excited and began changing into his outfit, but Violet looked confused.
"But you told us to never use our powers outside the house, that we should always act normal."
Sigh "I know, I know I always talked about restraint, but this time you will need to use your powers"
I grab both of their hands and spoke to them softly.
"The life of a hero is not easy, and I never wanted you guys to go down that path. I had always hoped that you guys would live normal and fulfilling lives, but now it is time to embrace your legacy."
Letting them go I look in the direction of the compound.
"Now look out for each other, I have to go find your father."
"Ok" x2
Look back towards them quickly, I smiled, and then began running towards the compound.
Hang on Bob, I am on my way.
Carmen 1st POV (2 hours later)
Look around the corner I can see four guards standing in front of a door. Unlike the other doorways that lead to empty rooms, work stations, or janitor closets. This one has a label next to the door... Containment.
Along with the four guards, a camera is positioned directly above the door. While they probably know about me now, they don't have a clear image of me.
No avoiding it, time to go loud.
Before getting here I had a chance to check the equipment I grabbed back in the storage room. rocket boots and gloves, which shoot something called zero point energy.
Capable of trapping and levitating objects weighing up to 40 tons. For this situation that is more than enough.
Two guards stand on each side of the door, all are armed with submachine guns. They are close enough to one another for the energy to catch each pair.
Alright...
one... two...three
Go!!
I perform a partial front roll landing on one knee, raising both of my gloves up and firing at both sides of the door.
ZAP ZAP
Freezing all four guards, I then drag all of them toward the center of the hall and release them. Causing them to collide with one another.
I hit them once more launching them into the ceiling, knocking them all out. I then picked up one of the discarded guns and launch it towards the camera destroying it.
I run to the door as it opens for me. Another guard is inside the room next to a table console.
"who!!"
ZAP
I toss him against the large oval structure within the room, then captured him again and pulled him towards me and closelined him.
That takes care of the guards, but it won't be long before they send more.
Inspecting the table console I find a button labeled "open".
Pressing the button the oval structure opens revealing Mr. Incredible suspended by an electric grid. He opens his eyes to look towards me.
"Who are you?"
I press another button that shuts off the electric grid, dropping him to the ground.
"I am here to save you."
