The next morning, Alex was not in the room. He probably left for the university early. But I wanted to go together with him.... No it would have been bad if someone saw us together. I got ready to go to the university feeling a bit sad.
I took a public transport to reach the university. On the second day, I was quite busy. The schedules kept piling up and I could not take a breather until lunch break. The most awaited break arrived and I went back to the staffroom to relax and eat my mom made lunch. I was very curious about my lunch. I opened it and it was curry! This is on the top 2 of my mom's handmade meals.
While eating, I took a quick peek at Alex's seating place. It was empty... It felt like he did not even come today. I was worried so I asked other professors about him. They all said the same thing. He took a whole day off. Why would he do that? Is he not feeling well? I decided to text him.
There was no reply.... I felt a bit disappointed but there was nothing I could do. My break was almost over. I prepared my presentation slides for the next class and just went on with my day as usual. I tried to forget about it but I couldn't.
My day was over. I was still disheartened and took a cab to go back to my place. The moment I arrived, there was a wonderful surprise waiting for me...
