Chapter 23 - Time to Wake Up, Eternal Queen

23. Time to Wake Up, Eternal Queen

Morgott gazed at the silver-white rule in a long silence, finally sheathing his weapon. Xiling then took the silver-white rule back into his starry cloak.

"Are you not going to continue the fight?"

Morgott shook his head. "...I'm no match for you. Besides...I believe in you."

Xiling unsheathed the holy sword from the ground, returning it to its sheath. He smiled and said, "Do you believe I can change this world?"

"I believe in everything you do." With these words, Morgott turned and walked towards the Elden Throne.

Morgott's pace was slow, but his longer legs forced Xiling to quicken his pace slightly to keep pace. Xiling raised his head and asked curiously, "Are you choosing to trust me because I brought out the Rule, or because I'm being guided by the Supreme Will?"

"Both. I don't know much about that one, and the main reason I trust you is that your swordsmanship and fighting style tell me you're not someone who schemes."

Xiling scratched his head, somewhat incredulous. "You're also into the things about weapons can reflect the heart of their wielders, too, huh."

"Your will is simply too strong," Morgott said, looking down at Xiling, who was walking briskly alongside him.

"Perhaps you haven't noticed, but every swing of your weapon in battle is accompanied by a powerful will. Perhaps... that's why you're so powerful."

"You've noticed that, as expected of a truly experienced demigod. Your fighting skills are truly impressive, aren't they? Could you teach me sometimes?" Xiling looked up at Morgott, his eyes filled with anticipation.

The opponent's fighting skills were truly impressive. They completely outclassed him. If it weren't for the Starry Cape bestowed upon him by the Supreme Will, Xiling would have been pierced several times. Thinking about it, Xiling's plea for guidance only intensified. The last person to defeat him was a skeleton soldier, and Xiling felt he should learn from him.

Morgott was a little confused by this self-proclaimed hero. He was so focused during battle, yet afterward, he became a bit...scattered.

"If I'm still alive after everything's over, you're always welcome."

"Don't worry, you'll survive," Xiling reassured the somewhat pessimistic man with a pat on the arm.

Morgott: "..." It had been a long time since he'd been treated this way, and Morgott felt somewhat strange. He suppressed the strange feeling and asked. "What are you going to do next? How are you going to restore the border?"

"Well~" Xiling looked up at the five people on the Elden throne, waved his hand to indicate he was fine, and then continued, "My Rule isn't complete yet, and it'll take some time. During this time, I have two things to do."

"The first is simple. I need to obtain the Elden Ring to prepare for future rules."

"The second is that I want to unify this Lands Between, so that there can only be one voice."

The first is normal; the second is... Morgott frowned, and he spoke, "Unifying the Lands Between isn't as easy as you think. You might be able to defeat them, but getting them to obey you is much harder."

Xilin smiled. "We have to try, after all. First things first, we have to defeat them all. Also, there's something I need to tell you beforehand."

"What is it?"

"Your brother's got some problems. He's obsessed with Miquella's beauty and worships him as a god. So, I'm wondering if you'll be the one to wake him up, or if we'll handle it ourselves?"

"What did you say?" Morgott stopped abruptly, his tone tinged with disbelief.

"It's not his fault, actually. Miquella's charm is indeed a bit too strong," Xilin gestured with his fingers.

"That fool!" Morgott stomped the ground, his voice tinged with anger.

He knew Miquella had terrifying powers of seduction, but he never imagined his brother would fall under his spell. Morgott had a bad feeling, but he had more important things to do right now.

He stepped back onto the Elden Throne.

Xiling gestured to everyone, then looked toward the passage leading into the Erdtree.

Morgott led them to a door entangled in countless thorns and stopped.

"The passage to the interior is closed. Do you have..." Morgott hadn't finished his words when he saw Xiling draw his holy sword. Morgott quickly reached out to stop Xiling's next move. "What are you going to do! "

Xiling blinked, then said matter-of-factly, "Open the door! How can I get in without opening the door?"

"You... you think your weapon can open the door?"

Xiling gave him a thumbs-up. "It's easy, so please move aside."

Morgott fell silent for a long moment, then withdrew his arm and stood aside.

He said he would trust him. Now that we've come this far, let's... him continue.

Xiling walked to the front, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and raised the holy sword with both hands. In his original world, the holy sword possessed the ability to control everything. While he didn't know if it would work in other worlds, he had to give it a try, didn't he?

Magic power began to converge on the holy sword, creating a storm that forced the Tarnished to cast a barrier to shield the chat group crowd.

The storm, induced by the magic power, gradually grew. Morgott stared intently at the scene, his premonition telling him he was about to witness something incredible.

Xiling's eyes snapped open, and the storm ceased at that moment.

The holy sword swung down, and Xiling roared, "Cut it off!"

The light engulfed everything, including the thorns blocking the path ahead. At that moment, the path ahead was clear.

The holy sword returned to its scabbard. Xiling gazed at the path he had personally opened, nodding with satisfaction.

Xiling looked at Morgott, who stood there in a daze, staring at the end of the path. "Will you come in with me?" "

Xiling's voice awakened the dazed Morgott. After a moment's silence, Morgott shook his head. "...No, I'm the cursed one. I'm not worthy of entering."

With that, he walked out, step by step, disappearing from their sight.

"Do you guys feel that Uncle is a little sad?" Ever since receiving the Voice of the Stars, Luo Tianyi felt she could discern a wide range of emotions in other people's voices. Morgott's earlier voice had left her with a sense of loneliness.

"Is it safe in there? It always feels eerie," the Tarnished rubbed his arms.

"It's alright, it's just a simple kidney deficiency," Xiling patted the Tarnished's shoulder and gave him a gentle look.

"So don't tell me things I don't understand."

Reaching the final gate, everyone reached through the golden barrier.

When they opened their eyes, they saw a figure suspended in mid-air in the center of the space.

That was their target.

Xiling stepped forward and called out to the other person:

"It's time to wake up, Eternal Queen, or perhaps Radagon."
