Chapter 89 - Hiko x Ai - 89: Cell Phone

"You! Alright, alright, I'll go meet up with Miyako now." Ichigo couldn't help but clench his fists, then walked out from behind his desk and headed toward the door.

Hiko felt that Ichigo was exuding a murderous aura at this moment. If Ichigo were to walk past him, he would definitely seize the opportunity to hit him.

The best strategy among the Thirty-Six Stratagems was to run!

He quickly said goodbye to Ai. "Ai, I'm going home. See you tomorrow."

After speaking, he maintained a safe distance from Ichigo.

"See you tomorrow..." Ai waved goodbye to Hiko.

After saying his goodbyes, Hiko turned and left.

Once Hiko kept his distance, Ichigo knew he wouldn't be able to hit that kid this time. After Hiko left, he muttered, "You little rascal, you're fast!"

Although he spoke softly, Ai heard him clearly due to their proximity, but she pretended not to hear and said, "President, what did you say?"

"Nothing. Let's go to the station to find Miyako. If we make her wait too long, she'll definitely get angry," Ichigo said to Ai.

The two of them went to the station together to meet Miyako.

"You're finally here, so slow," Miyako complained to Ichigo.

"Can't be helped," Ichigo replied perfunctorily.

Ai asked Miyako, "Where are we going to buy a phone?"

"To Shinjuku," Miyako replied.

"Don't they sell phones in Tokyo? Why do we need to go to Shinjuku?" Ichigo asked, puzzled.

Miyako walked next to Ichigo and kicked him. After listening to Hiko last night, she felt that she really should spend more time with Ai.

So she wanted to take Ai to Shinjuku Kabukicho to watch other people's performances, so Ai could learn something too.

"Let's go then. Don't mind Ichigo." Miyako held Ai's hand, boarded the train with her, and walked to a corner.

Ichigo quickly followed them and got on the same train.

"So, what kind of phone do you like?" Miyako asked Ai.

"One that can make calls is fine," Ai replied.

"Ask for a bit more. For example, what special features do you want? Or maybe a phone that's good for playing games?"

Miyako proactively raised Ai's standards for choosing a phone.

"But I don't know what makes a good phone, and I don't understand them."

As Ai spoke, she unconsciously thought of Hiko. 'If he were here... perhaps he could help me pick a good phone?'

Miyako saw Ai's dazed expression and felt that she was thinking of Hiko again. This wouldn't do; she was becoming too dependent.

"Oh, right. What do you think of the new members?" Miyako quickly changed the topic to bring Ai's attention back.

"New members? I think they're pretty good," Ai replied.

Of course, she wouldn't directly say that the new members were bad. And she certainly wouldn't say it in front of Ichigo.

Ichigo's timing for adding new members was wrong.

"I think Ami and Asuka are also great additions," Ichigo interjected when he saw the two women mentioning the new members.

"You shut up. Hiko already said that forcefully adding people caused him a lot of trouble. Do you still have the nerve to speak?" Miyako seized the opportunity to rebuke Ichigo.

"Sigh, how did you become like this? You used to be responsible, but now you're not, and your intelligence has dropped quite a bit," she added with a sigh.

"Miyako, how can you slander me? What do you mean my intelligence has dropped? My intelligence has never dropped; it's always maintained a respectable level. It's just that you all misunderstand me," Ichigo retorted when he heard Miyako slandering him.

"When Hiko said it, you didn't refute him, but now that I say it, your reaction is so strong. That's too much! Even if I married you, you shouldn't treat me like this. You used to sweet-talk me so much... Now, even when you're wrong, you're unwilling to admit it. That's just too much."

Miyako covered her face with her hand, sobbing softly, crying to Ichigo.

At this moment, everyone else in the train was looking in their direction.

The other passengers heard the crying and all turned to look at Miyako.

"Hey, hey, Miyako, don't be like this. Everyone on the train is staring. Please don't say anything more, please don't say anything more."

Ichigo felt that if she kept talking and crying a bit longer, the other passengers would start to form an opinion of him.

Ai watched the two, who seemed to be clowning around, in silence.

Miyako heard Ichigo's plea and no longer covered her face. She hadn't actually been crying; she'd only pretended to.

As Miyako stopped making a fuss, Ichigo felt the gazes on him lessen.

However, due to their bickering, the atmosphere between the three of them became tense, and they no longer spoke.

The three quickly arrived in Shinjuku.

Miyako took Ai to a phone store and asked a sales clerk to take out a phone from the counter.

The clerk took out a silver phone from the display and handed it to Miyako.

"This is a classic model..." the clerk began introducing the phone's details to Miyako.

Miyako took it but didn't pay attention to the explanation. Instead, she tried using it for a while, felt the operation was acceptable, and then handed the phone to Ai.

"Ai, try this phone and see what you think," Miyako said.

Ai nodded, took the phone from Miyako, and tried operating it, imitating her movements.

She didn't understand the quality of phones.

After pretending for a while, her gaze fell on the spot where the clerk had taken it out from. She saw the price tag there and directly told Miyako that this one was pretty good.

"Ai, don't decide so quickly. Look around a bit more," Miyako advised, seeing that Ai hadn't even browsed.

"But I think it's not bad either," Ai compared the prices in her mind. She knew that this phone was much cheaper than the others.

She didn't want to burden Miyako and felt that choosing a cheaper one would be fine.

"Since you think this phone is good, let's buy it for now. But an idol can't have just one phone. We'll choose another one later, you really need to look around more and not make such a hasty decision," Miyako said to Ai. After finishing, she turned to the clerk and said, "We'll take this phone. Do you have an unopened one of the same color?"

"Yes, I'll get it for you right away," the clerk replied with a smile. She bent down and searched under the counter for a while, then took out an unopened box, stood up, and placed it on the counter.

"Please take a look," the clerk said, pushing the box toward Miyako.

Miyako didn't touch it but looked at Ai and said, "Ai, open it and take a look. If it's not suitable, we can exchange it."

"Mm..." Ai responded softly, then picked up the box in front of her, unsealed it, and took the phone out to try it.

After trying it for a while, she put the phone back in the box and looked at Miyako.

"No problems?" Miyako asked.

"I didn't find any problems," Ai replied.

"You try it," Miyako said to Ichigo next to her.
