The streets of the capital were filled with vendors and people . The streets were decorated in such a way that one could mistake it for a royal procession.
A carriage slowly moved through the crowd to the Holy Temple . The three heroes inside the carriage looked at the well decorated streets in awe .
Zarian: [The existence of heroes is a big deal for the people , right ? ]
Saintess: [ Yeah ofcourse it is , you were chosen by our God himself]
The saintess said it with an obsession in her eyes .
Zarian: [ The people are taking the concept of heroes from another world quite lightly , don't you think ]
Saintess:[ You look like you already know why . This is not the first time for us to have a hero from another world . About 2000 years ago ,Lucious Blackwood , a hero from another world liberated us from the great evil
.For many this maybe a legend but the existence of the Blackwood Empire is the very proof of the heroic tale ]
Zarian: [ Lucious Blackwood? So , the descendents of the hero are the ones who are currently rulling this empire , right ? ]
Ayla : [ Yeah Zarian , you are exactly right ]
Ayla said it with a sense of pride flexing her knowledge from reading books .
When the other heroes were having conversation about Lucious, Lief looked out the window . He was not the slightest bit intrested about the hero of past , all that he could think about is the saintess' promise to fulfill any one of his wish .
Zarian looked at Lief in pity, it was like he could see himself in him .
The carriage finally arrived at the Holy Temple . The heroes were welcomed with cheers and love from the crowd . For them , the heroes are a ray of hope which could save them from demons .
The three heroes were accompanied by the saintess to the stage . They were surrounded by people of the empire . In a distance, the Emperor ' Regulus Blackwood ' was watching the ceremony.
Gaurding him were " The Five Imperial Knights Captians "

The ceremony was about to begin . The saintess left the three heroes in the care of the guards and to make some preparations.
Zarian could feel the sharp gaze of the Emperor and Imperial Knight Captains. The crowd erupted in cheers after witnessing the Emperor.
Lief : [ It is too noisy ]
Ayla : [ Wow , you finally said something]
Zarian: [ I guess they are showing their love to The heroes ]
Lief : [ Heroes? Love ? ]
Lief smiled for the first time after he came to this world but it was not a pleasant one .
Lief : [ They are just happy that they got some meat shields who will protect them from the great evil .]
Lief paused for a moment.
Lief : [ They would turn their back on us the moment they find something better . There is nothing more pathetic than their love ]
Zarian sighed .. Ayla looked visibly pissed .
Ayla : [ It was better when you stayed quiet.]
The saintess arrived in time to start the ceremony.
Saintess: [ I warmly welcome the believers of The great God , may his blessings be with you . ]
The saintess pointed at the heroes .
Saintess : [ These are the heroes who were chosen by the great God himself to protect us from the great evil . He has not abandoned his followers. As long as you believe in him , he will protect us and bless us ]
The speech of the saintess was not of someone who was normal . It was like she was possed.
Saintess : [ Zarian please step forward ]
Zarian was hesitant but hearing the cheers of the crowd and the sharp gaze of the Emperor, he had no choice. Zarian step forward slowly . The saintess started to chant.
Saintess : [ #######***##*****##**##***#**]
A bright golden light from the sky struck the stage. The entire Holy Temple was illuminated in bright golden light ]
When the light faded out , the crowd were shocked to see Zarian floating in the sky while being unconscious. The crowd were in chaos.
Valentino brought back Zarian under the command of the Emperor . The saintess attempt to calm down the crowd .
Saintess :[ Everyone please calm down , you just witnessed the miracle of our all mighty great God . It's his love for us , he blessed the hero with glorious powers to complete his glorious task . Let us praise the great God ]
The chaos calmed down and erupted in cheers . Chanting, " Oh ! great God , we thank thee for thy blessing"
Lief and Ayla were in shock . Ayla was beyond terrified.
Saintess : [ Next Ayla , please step forward . You will receive the blessing of our great God , isn't that beautiful. Our great God would grant you glorious powers ]
Ayla refused to step forward.The saintess looked at Ayla with anger.
Saintess :[ Are you refusing the blessing of our great God !! You have no choice but to obey him . If you refuse his blessings, you might as well die .]
Laziel appeared out of nowhere and pointed his sword towards Ayla . Lief and Ayla didn't notice him until he pressed the sword against Ayla's neck .
The Emperor and the captains were surprised of Laziel's presence .
Emperor: [ That cunning bitch !!]
Ayla being terrified had no choice but to step forward.The Saintess began to chant
Saintess :[ #####***#**###*#**#*#*##]
Again a bright golden light struck the stage , when the light faded .
Ayla was just standing there being unharmed.
Saintess : [ What ? Nothing happened? There is no way , the great God's blessings were real . There is no way !]
Suddenly a little spirit appeared from Ayla's hair . Ayla was sweating from fear but seeing the spirit made her to faint.
Saintess: [ Oh ! A lesser Earth spirit . Intresting.. ]
Saintess: [ The great God has blessed the hero with a Earth spirit . The great God had performed an another miracle . Praise our lord ! ]
The crowd again erupted in cheers .
Lief felt sick witnessing this crazy chaos .Laziel pointed his sword towards him .He had no choice but to step to the front .
The saintess began to chant .
Again the golden light struck the stage . But Lief was also unaffected. When the saintess got closer , a bright white light from the sky struck the stage . The saintess was thrown out of the stage .
The Emperor, the captains and Laziel were all stunned to see the sight in front of them
One of the three divine swords " The Conqueror of Night Sky " was in the hands of Lief .
The five captains surrounded Lief , they could never mistake the sword of the legend . The sword of the great hero " Lucious" , a national treasure.
One of the captains , Elijah suddenly flew out of the stage. There was a sudden shift in mana . Anyone could recognise it , it was Laziel .
Laziel slowly stepped forward from the smoke . He pointed his sword towards the captains . It was utter chaos , the crowd were dumbfounded.
Laziel : [ He is a hero . Which means he is under the protection of the Holy Temple. If you even scratch him , it will be an act of war against holy temple ]
Laziel glared at the captains . His bloodlust was not of some ordinary soldier . It was of someone who has transcended the very limits of humans .
The Emperor stepped forward.
Emperor: [ Lower your weapons .!!]
The captains lowered their weapons and stepped back . The saintess came out of the rumble and with a obsessive sinister smile in her face .
Saintess: [ Oh my ! Aren't you quite greedy Regulus, trying to steal from the hero ]
Emperor: [ What do you mean by stealing Theresa ? This was the possession of my ancestor ]
The Emperor glared at the saintess. But the saintess smiled wickedly.
Saintess :[ But the sword chosed him as his new owner Regulus . There is nothing we could do about it . ]
Regulus : [ The sword which was lost over 1500 years ago chosed this kid . Do you expect me believe that nonsence Theresa. ]
Theresa: [ Oh my ! Aren't you implying some heavy accusations ,Regulus. Are you suspecting the Holy Temple ? ]
The Emperor saw the crowd of confused people and decided to deal with the situation in private .
The Emperor along with the five captains left the scene . Laziel disappeared out of nowhere.
The sudden events had taken a tole on Lief's body . He fainted in the stage while seeing the saintess smile at him wickedly.
Saintess: [ Who could have expected this ? ]
The saintess murmured to herself .
