The gym belonging to Julius which now had a total of 3 members excluding the owner were all staring at each other in the most awkward silence they had ever experienced.
Julius looking at the three was giggling inside as he had actually known the history of all three kids from an associate quite some time ago and thought to himself wouldn't it be funny if he trained all three at once which led to this current situation.
"Well then what are you waiting for let's get started!"said Julius with a smirk.
The original dou decided to just move away from Bakugo and start focusing on their training which for them was still muscle training as they were both essentially sticks with skin as said by Julius well one more then the other.
Bakugo on the other hand was taken by Julius for stamina training as he has noticed the boy had rather bad stamina for the type of fighting style he adopted.
And so they spend the entire time in the gym in silence well except for Julius's shouting which was a regular for the gym.
Even after the gym close neither Midoriya nor Bakugo said a word even in school they avoided each other this routine went on for weeks even months.
During this time Midoriya's and Bakugo's relationship has essentially been in a state of stasis where they neither grew closer nor apart just simply acknowledgement.
Though there was one thing in which the both of them agreed Julius hit extremely hardwith his so called fist of love ....and so they all agreed to never piss him off.
It was already the end of autumn when all three were called during a weekend and said it was important.
And so all three arrived after school to the gym waiting for Julius with Beru being extremely nervous but so was Midoriya.
Then they found Julius not with the other equipment but on the ring standing there with folded arms.
"Well boys I've decided that it's time I teach you how to not get beaten up!"he said with extreme fervour.
As soon as they heard that they felt exited as this was what they came here for not that they didn't appreciate the training they received before as it was preparation for this even Bakugo was a bit thrilled as even if Julius was quirkless he has acknowledged that he was a real fighter.
"Today you'll be fighting among yourselves to see where your current fighting capabilities are starting with Bakugo and Midoriya then who ever has more stamina left will fight Beru" he said with a serious expression.
And so for the first time in months Bakugo and Midoriya looked at each other with a bit of complex emotions but bakugo broke their gaze first and headed to the ring first with midoriya soon following after him.
While all this was happening Julius looked at them with an expectant look as he thought about their capabilities.
When Bakugo has confronted Julius and started a fight he saw in the boy talent not from his quirk but from his instinct he realised that the kid was a natural born fighter something that only happens so rarely and especially to this extent.
Bakugo despite only being 12 years old had reaction speed comparable to most experienced pro heroes and a mind that finds the best optimal path to deal damage in short the boy was a natural winner.
Midoriya on the other hand was different he didn't have any natural talent no good instinct nor reaction speed but he did have one thing better than bakugo his analytical mind was by far one the best he had seen one so good it could get someone into the top 10 heroes in just a few years.
But the problem was midoriya didn't know how to use that analytical mind properly he overthinks alot and gets stuck with just just analysing and forgets counteracting his opponents.
And then there was their stamina the one thing in which midoriya beat bakugo which was actually a result of the boy having a running exercise routine even before coming to this gym but that wouldn't help if bakugo dealt too much damage something he clearly could.
"Ok are the two of you ready !" Hearing this both the boys nodded.
"Remember this is a friendly match so don't try to push each other too much!" They nodded again but Julius knew that both of them would ignore this warning and he wanted them to .
"Begin!" The first one to move was of course Bakugo who suprisingly didn't use his quirk and simply ran .
Midoriya seeing this took a defensive position with his knuckles raised and when Bakugo reached him he threw a wide right punch which he anticipated and blocked .
Bakugo seeing his puch get blocked a shocked but not for long as he threw a punch with his left.
Midoriya immediately tried to block the punch again but he made a mistake the punch was a feint.
The real attack was his kick which hit his right calf which caused midoriya to loosen his stance .
Bakugo immediately took advantage of this opening and started beating him with his fist but no quirks which was weird.
But midoriya while taking a beating immediately thought of a solution and suddenly lowered himself and avoided bakugo's blows.
Bakugo was immediately taken aback by this move and tried to create distance but was tackled by midoriya and they both fell with midoriya on top.
And now midoriya was in the offence or he was supposed to be as midoriya hesitated to throw the punch.
Seeing this bakugo immediately got angry and threw him off himself and continued the offensive but this time with even more agression.
And this time Midoriya couldn't protect himself properly and was getting his ass handed over to him.
Seeing this from the side Beru began to worry.
"Sensei shouldn't you stop this it's getting out of hand " he said with a worry.
But Julius remained silent watching them fight.
On the ring midoriya had once again successfully blocked bakugo's right hook and had created an opening but once again he hesitated.
Seeing this bakugo finally snapped and grabbed midoriya by the hair and proceeded to headbutt him with all his might which caused midoriya to back up and shake his head.
"What the hell do you think you're doing DEKU!!!!!!!!"hearing this midoriya was surprised.
"Do you think I need your little mercy huh !!!!!! DEKU!!!!!!" Midoriya hearing this tried to say no but stopped as he knew deep down this wasn't what kacchan wanted to hear.
"Don't hold back and just punch me you damn DEKU!!!!!!!" The more he heard kacchan talk he felt more conflicted inside as his will was fighting against itself.
"Do you think you will ever be a hero without fighting for yourself IDIOT!!!!"midoriya clenched his fist hard as he knew everything that kacchan was saying was right and yet his inability to fight of himself was still present.
Julius looking at midoriya knew all the boy needed was one more push and he knew exactly where that push needed to come from and so he lightly patted Beru's back.
"Go on say it your friend needs it..."seeing this beru immediately looked at Julius then towards midoriya and bit his lip and with a determined mind he shouted.
"Midoriya come on fight if not for yourself then for your dream come on!!!!!!!" Midoriya looked at Beru surprised at the fact that he was telling him to fight for his dream.
As midoriya looked at his fist he thought about his dream was it to just become a hero .... No !! Was it to become the No.1 hero NO...it was in fact to save everyone... to save everyone with a smile.
And so looked ahead of himself and saw bakugo waiting for him the entire time he had never used his quirk and he knew why he wanted to beat him at his best without any advantage of his quirk as it was his spirit of victory.
'Thank you kacchan ' he thought as even though they were no longer friends he could still accept him as an opponent to conquer.
After all these years his former best friend finally acknowledged him once again and his new best friend was cheering him on and he looked at sensei who was looking at him with an approving look.
And so he remembered those words once again all those years ago 'Kid you can be hero anyone can be hero all you need is a will ,a will to go forward where no one else will that's a hero so kid if you wanna be a hero work hard'
And so he looked up at kacchan with a smile and clenched his fist hard.
Seeing this bakugo couldn't help but smirk as he forgot years of hatred he had towards Deku and just wanted to beat him at his own game and so he got ready .
And then they finally started to fight properly with midoriya punching bakugo straight to the face and the other vice versa.
The fight went on with bakugo on the offensive and midoriya defensive but this time Midoriya was punching back hard and so the two fought for minutes.
Until eventually the one who fell was midoriya as bakugo was too good of a natural fighter and he had taken too much damage in the beginning.
Seeing this Beru didn't feel bad at all as he finally saw midoriya get rid of his inability to fight back.
They eventually got complemented bu Julius but as the two were too tired to fight Beru's fight was eventually cancelled.
And so all three eventually left the gym this didn't mean that midoriya and Bakugo were friends once again no it was simply an acknowledgement of efforts.
And so Julius sat at his gym all alone cleaning it up .
"You know your not very shuttle" said Julius looking behind him.
"I don't think I need to be towards you" said the visiter.
" Is it now Chizome Akaguro...."
