Characters zone

Welcome to the Characters zone, this will be updated as the chapters goes and you discover more of them - in order to avoid spoilers. So you can come back anytime you want to it, maybe there will be more written here. If you haven't finished reading the last chapter, I recommend skipping this section for now. I will, nevertheless, be as vague as possible.

Main characters

Chao (Shoi-Ming)

Title : 2fab4U (known online by this nickname)

Rank: Unassuming geek

Chao is the exact opposite of the Shoi-Ming character he plays: athletic, scrappy, arrogant, proud, confident and popular. A secret geek and fan of RPGs, the latest of which is The Sacred Empire of the Five Mountains (SEFM), where he meets a variety of colorful characters. And yet, while his fellow RPG companions found the character of Shoi-Ming funny and even endearing for the few times they met him, he found him pitiful and ridiculous, rolling his eyes at the insolent luck that each time pulled him out of a bad situation that should have cost him his life.

Perhaps he should have listened more carefully to the details about himself, and paid more attention to the death of this NPC, because now that he found himself transmigrated into his body, it's him who have to rely on the luck he had been criticizing. Especially as he didn't have time to finish the campaign.

???

Title : The Protagonist

Rank : Unknown

What?! There's a protagonist in SEFM?! But that doesn't make any sense, right?

Characters

Shoi-Ming

Title: The cowardly snake hiding behind the clouds.

Rank: Right-hand man to the leader of the Ethereal Clouds Sect

His parents called him that, hoping that he would have a better life than they had, and the Gods responded by offering this man an inordinate amount of luck.

With a reputation for being weak, cowardly and completely unreliable, Shoi-Ming is widely criticized not only by other sects, but also by those in his own sect, who would openly mock him if he didn't have the support of Zi Xuan, the sect leader. Certain legends about him persist, fueled by his miraculous good luck that has saved him many times and created misunderstandings that have led to him taking credit of her or other individuals. He doesn't hesitate to surrender as soon as his life is threatened, and this lack of honor is reflected in his actions, as he doesn't hesitate to betray and stab in the back at every opportunity.

Jun Hie

Title: The prodigy blessed by the clouds.

Rank: Shizun of the Ethereal Clouds Sect

Jun Hie is Shoi-Ming's best friend and is known to Chao as a traitor. As a result, the latter is suspicious of him and remains particularly wary of him. As his title implies, Jun Hie is a little genius in the martial arts, and if anyone should have been Zi Xuan's right-hand man, it's him. Sarcastic, mischievous and smiling, it's difficult not only for our hero to know what he's thinking and feeling, but also for everyone else, whether they know him or not.

Zi Xuan

Title: Ethereal dragon dancing in the clouds.

Rank: Leader of the Ethereal Clouds Sect.

The sect leader is known to be powerful, but also very tolerant and kind - perhaps even too kind, as evidenced by the fact that he has accepted Shoi-Ming as his right-hand man, even though he clearly lacks the skills to assist him. But perhaps he's seen something that was sorely lacking in all the others, and which makes him unique.

Kuan

Title: Unknown

Rank: Right-hand man to the leader of the Three Hundred Fans Sect.

This man seems to be both well aware of a crisis situation and yet completely disconnected from it. Chao don't trust this guy, he seems to be a coward in disguise. But, maybe he's just an NPC that he will never run into again.

Long Feng

Title: Guardian of the sacred dragons.

Rank: Leader of the Three Hundred Fans Sect.

Long Feng seems to be a capable man but Chao thinks he doesn't stand a chance against Zi Xuan. Who said all the Peak Lords were equal in strength?

Street kids

They are familiar with Shoi-Ming who offered them to be his disciples if they earn their money honestly, but that's not a good idea. If they found out he doesn't deserve his place at the right-hand man in the first place, they'll think he made fun of them.
