Selina's POV
I got to the club just in time.
My eyes landed on some men, sitting around a table, gambling with their hard-earned money. Robert was there, mouth wide. He laughed and dropped cards on the table to banter his opponent—or rather, opponents. I smiled and walked their way, bouncing in my catwalk style. The neon light shone on my body as I made my way through the clubbers swirling around in their drunken state.
When I got to the table, I saw a bunch of clean notes set aside. They were probably for the winner.
"Hey, woman!" a slender man called flirtatiously, earning a tiny smile from me.
Robert seemed to be carried away by the game he was already losing. I read that from his face.
"Wanna have your ass ripped out?" the slender man asked; then he let out a dry laugh, and the others whom I thought were distracted joined in a lousy laugh. I laughed silently, almost like a warning. My eyes measured everyone at the table; they were all tycoons, dripping in wealth, but I was here for one, not all.
When Robert finally lost the game, I removed a bunch of dollars and slammed them on the table. Their eyes drifted to me, surprised at the confidence of an ordinary lady.
"Let's play," I dared.
One of them slammed another bunch on the table and I raised my brows at him.
Are you fucking serious right now?
Without wasting any more time, he took the money, allowing Robert and me to play the game.
"I love the challenge," Robert Stones said with a smile.
My eyes fell on his pot belly, sitting comfortably on his lap. The music didn't stop. It fueled our zeal. Firstly, I ran my eyes across the club, feeding them with the half-naked bodies that danced under the club light. I walked carefully behind him, tracing the soft edges of his shoulder. "Show me that you're man enough," I whispered in his ear, not minding the lost and confused looks from the other men.
Robert grinned and then chuckled. He held my hands, pulling me gently to the chair beside him. "I told you all!" he said loudly, a feeling of accomplishment washing over him. "From the time she stepped in here, I knew she had her eyes on me."
Their voices stretched like spring in the air, a barbaric speech, almost noisy and displeasing. They seemed to have said a lot about me before I came, and they were now almost arguing about it. I was also a stripper here, but I had never gone into the VIP room with any of them because I didn't want to.
I sat on the chair, my thick straight legs crossed, allowing me to lean back in the chair. He placed his first card in the centre of the table, then his eyes met mine. I removed mine and dropped it on his. His shoulders dropped when the card landed on his. The other men looked at one another; their suspicion rose, but none of them spoke.
Robert ran his eyes across the remaining cards in his hands, unsure of the next one he was to drop. He finally picked one and placed it on the last card. The card had a big heart shape on it.
I smiled and took out another. The men yelled, "Fuck!"
Robert didn't want to believe his eyes. He sat upright, eyes darting between the card on the table and me. I narrowed my eyes, staring unshaken. He surrendered, dropping all his cards on the table. I reached for the cash and took all of it. But then he grabbed my hands; his friends started to leave one after the other, disappointedly.
"The game isn't over yet. I'll double the money if you can strip for me tonight," he said. "Privately."
A small smile spread at the corner of my lips and before I could even respond he waved a club attendant over. "Prepare VIP 5, right away," he ordered.
I came closer and sat at the table. My fingers quietly stroked his beard as I met his gaze. The lady returned shortly to announce that VIP was ready and we headed over.
Robert sat at the small bar in the room, watching me dance. I spread my hands at my sides and twisted my waist. Robert gently placed his glass on the bar and walked up to me.
"You've got me horny! I think we should get down to business," he said when a message suddenly popped up on his phone. He stared, squinting at the text. Before he raised his head to look at me or even say another word, I kicked him right in his face, snatched his phone, and quickly read the message.
"Your sister's been captured!"
Before he stood up again, I grabbed his tie and punched his face. He fell towards the side of the bar but wedged himself against the bar and attempted to grab his cup, but I kicked his hand again with the tip of my heels.
"Where are these bastards? And what business do they have with me?"
He coughed, clutching his chest as though he was struggling to gather his breath before he spoke.
"They're heading to your house right away; they'll release Kat and destroy you!"
I pulled his hair and gave him another punch in his face. I searched his pockets and took out everything in them: his extra phone, documents, and money.
"You'll do as I said. Cooperate and come with me; if not, Kat dies and you die! Understood?"
He giggled and spat on my face. Just then, I heard a strange sound; I pushed him to the ground and peeped through the window to see a helicopter suspended in the sky above the roof of the building. I removed my gun from my panties and pointed it at Robert. "Move or die!" I yelled and beckoned for him to move.
Outside we pretended to be fine. Robert signalled his workers, telling them that he would be back shortly. I wore a face cap, the one I had forced him to get from one of his workers, which he did.
We walked through the small crowd as I observed them closely.
My phone vibrated in my pocket but I did not answer it. We walked straight to the back door where we planned to escape, as I looked up again, the helicopter was gone.
I quickly removed my phone from my pocket to watch a camera footage of my house. I had set up a camera lens in my house both outside and inside that I connected to my phone. From the footage that played on my phone, I saw a woman in a black suit and trousers giving orders to her men in black to invade my home.
"Fuck!" I yelled, but before I could even catch a glimpse of a shadow beside me, aside Robert, the person smashed a heavy wooden object on my head and I fell.
