The sun's rays broke through, announcing a new day. Velaxor woke first, a young man from a wealthy family. As he stepped out of his room, his father suddenly appeared. He greeted him with an unusually gentle tone and invited him to have breakfast together. Velaxor was surprised by this treatment, but paid it little attention, quickly finishing his meal to go meet his close friends. Velaxor, Loren, and Mark are best friends since childhood. Loren was the daughter of a politician, and Mark was the son of a farmer. The friends often gathered at Mark's father's farm, spending the most delightful hours together. Velaxor arrived early. From a distance, he noticed someone sitting on the hill, and as he approached, he realized it was Loren. He walked closer and said:"
_Good morning, how are you? I see you're drawing a new sketch. Will you show me?"
_"Good morning. I see you're early today. I hadn't been here long before I started drawing."
_"You have an amazing talent, Loren. But as you know, we live in a time tainted by greed and the pursuit of status. Your father won't allow you to become an artist. And my aristocratic father wants me to become a businessman like him."
Shortly after, their friend, Mark, arrived. The two greeted him, sat together, admiring nature and exchanging small talk.

Time passed quickly, and soon it was lunchtime, so each returned home. When Velaxor arrived, his father greeted him. The young man felt no comfort, but had lunch with him nonetheless. After they finished, his father called him:"
_Come here, my dear son. As you know, I am a very loving father and want to ensure my son's future and his status in society..."
Velaxor replied coldly:"
_Enough with the ridiculous preambles! How can you call yourself loving when you didn't even let me choose my own path?"
_"You won't need any path anymore. I've arranged everything with Mr. Grilas, all that remains is signing the marriage contract."
_"Grilas? That's Loren's father! You must be joking! Impossible! We're just best friends! I will not marry her!"
_"Do not raise your voice to your father! I didn't ask for your opinion. I have already decided, and that's final."
Unable to bear it any longer, Velaxor stormed out of the room. He ran until he reached his friend's farm. Mark saw him immediately and came over, asking:"
_Is what Loren told me true? Are you going to marry her?"
_"I will never accept. I won't be a tool for my father's deal. He wants to use me by marrying me off to a politician's daughter."
Suddenly, Loren appeared. She looked at him with tearful eyes, and he reassured her:"
_Don't worry. I won't let those greedy people get what they want. We will not be their pawns. We will trick them they'll think we've gone to the capital. Soon, the house purchase expenses and your university registration will reach our families, 've sent someone to handle it."
She answered, crying:"
_This is no time for jokes! What will you gain from this?"
_"Now, we will do what we were forbidden to do, just to frustrate them and buy some time. I have a brilliant plan."
The girl didn't know what to say, but she trusted him. After a few hours, evening came, but she was afraid to return home. Her friends reassured her, and she barely felt convinced. That night was the worst in the three friends' lives, and no one know how the following morning would unfold...
