Chapter 1 - Bu!

- Daughter, are you awake again?

A girl is seen half asleep while eating her breakfast. She has brown hair and beautiful eyes.

- A little - the girl said as she shoveled another spoonful of cereal.

Her mother looked at her slightly judgmentally and said - I admire that you spend all your time reading at night, but studying won't do you any good if you don't rest... Besides, why do you stop reading? - She puts her hand to her head and says - When I studied to be a teacher, I don't remember spending all my nights studying.

The girl, a little sleepy, answers - Romance novels.

Her mother looked at her curiously.

- What? - The girl thought about what she said and immediately woke up, saying - Language books!

At that moment, the father came in.

- How did the loves of my life turn out?

Mother and daughter saw him. The mother smiled, and the girl said

- Hey Dad - he approaches to ruffle his daughter's hair while saying - Sam, honey... Do you know what time it is?

The girl looks at her phone in surprise, because if she doesn't get ready, she'll be late.

- Ahh, I'm going to get ready!

Sam arrives at the university and the day goes by normally, with Sam paying attention to the class. At one point, a classmate of hers comes over to greet her while she's writing what looks like a novel.

- Hey Sam!

Sam is slightly startled, but answers.

- Oh! Hi Max, tell me.

Max looks at her desk curiously, seeing that Sam was writing something. She blushes a little and closes her laptop.

- Will for the boyfriend? - Max said.

She blushes even more and answers.

- What? I don't have a boyfriend... erm... it's a... Um, what do you need?

Max smiles and says:

- Well, as you well know, the teacher gave us a rather complicated assignment, and we want to get together to do it together. It would be more bearable - she said, pointing to a small group of classmates.

Sam looks at them and gets nervous.

- Um... Me.

Max interrupts her and says:

- It's okay if you don't want to. We just thought it would be easier with you and Emily, since you're the most studious ones in the class...

Sam looks to the side, as if in thought, and answers.

- Sorry, I don't think I can - she says, lowering her gaze.

Max notices this and, with a half-smile, says:

- Don't worry, but if you change your mind, we'll be in the library in the mornings, okay?

Sam nods.

Max and her classmates leave the classroom. Immediately afterward, a girl, who was also in the classroom with her group of friends, turns off the light...

- Hm? - Sam is puzzled.

The group of girls, who were gathered around a table, called out to Sam.

- Sam! Come on! Let's play! - an excited girl said.

Sam looked at them strangely, and one approached her and said - Come on! Just for a while, then you can study, or whatever.

Sam looked at her and said nervously.

- Play? What do you want to play?

Suddenly, at the table where the group of girls were, she saw one of them take out a Ouija board.

Sam shuddered when she saw the Ouija board...

- Hey! No, I don't think that's a good idea, Jessie! - she replied nervously.

Jessie smiled mischievously.

- Come on, Samantha! - She looked at one of her friends and said - Yes! Find Emily too!

Yes nodded mischievously and looked for Emily, who was sitting apart from the rest, drawing.

- Emily, come on, let's play!

Emily jumps and looks at the others. She sees the Ouija board and says yes.

- Um, is it real?

Yes nodded enthusiastically and said

- Yes, it's real! Cinthia took it from her grandmother's house a long time ago.

Emily looked curiously and sat down with the girls without further ado.

- Fine! Just Sam! - said Yes.

Sam shook her head, but Jessie took her arm and led her to the others. There were Cinthia, Sam, Emily, Yessica, Jessie, Linda, and Sofia, sitting around the Ouija board.

- Okay! It's time! - said Linda.

The atmosphere becomes tense, and Sofia is the first to put her finger on the board.

- Girls... I... - said Sam, but Linda interrupted her - Come on, Sam! Even Em agreed!

Sam looks at Emily, who looks around curiously.

- But I... - Sam says, and Yess tells her - They're experiences, Sam. Come on!

One by one, the girls begin to place their fingers on the board, and Cinthia begins to speak.

- Repeat after me... If there are spirits here, please manifest yourselves. We are here for you, be here for us... - The others repeat it as the atmosphere becomes increasingly tense, and Sofia gets scared and says - Um, girls, maybe this is a bad idea.

At that moment, the girls begin to hear boys' voices, saying - Can you imagine, does it work? - Another voice answers - Are you stupid or what? Obviously, it's not going to work.

The girls begin to get scared, and Yess, hysterically, says, - What... what... What!? - Cinthia pulls out her finger and asks - Wh... who spoke?

Suddenly, some boys began to appear, five to be exact. Two were arguing next to the girls, another was sleeping at the next table, and the other two were standing at the entrance of the classroom watching the situation. They were ghosts.

The girls screamed hysterically, and Sam covered his face with his hands...

Emily, scared, looks at each of the ghosts and says,

- No... - Cinthia looks at them in disbelief and looks at the sleeping ghost - No...

The ghosts who were arguing look at them in surprise, and one says - They can see us!" The other one she was arguing with looks and says - What?

The girls, stunned, run away when the sleeping ghost appears next to them and says - Boo!

The girls fled the classroom, leaving the ghosts, simply confused.

Sam went home as quickly as possible to forget what had happened in her mind. It wasn't real, just her imagination... It wasn't real... Just then, she received some messages.

- Girls, I created this group to talk about what we saw - Linda said.

Well, these two had separated when they ran away..."

- Me... Were they some ghost boys?! - Cinthia said, and Yess replied - Yes! - How scary!

Sam shuddered as she realized it wasn't her imagination, it was real, and she wondered - How is this possible?

- Um, we should talk about this tomorrow in person - Sofia said, and Emily said - Let them know if you see anything else strange.

Sam arrives home trying to stay calm; her parents hadn't arrived yet, and goes to her room to write down what had happened on her laptop.

- Ghosts? Is it even possible?

While she's writing, she hears loud noises in the kitchen.

She gets scared and tries to call someone, but her cell phone isn't charged... In a panic, she looks for something to defend herself as she hears footsteps approaching her room.

- No... Please...no.

The door opens, and it's her father, who freaks out when he sees her like that.

- Sam!? What's wrong!? - She starts to cry and says - Sorry! I was scared because I heard noises in the kitchen and I didn't know it was you.

Her father laughs and says - No... Please... no.

- Hahaha, sorry, I was looking for something to drink. It was a tiring day... And yours? - Sam relaxes and says - Terrifying.

Her father looks at her curiously and says, "Terrifying?" Sam replies - Yeah, some classmates brought a Ouija board to the university and well - Her father laughs and says - HAHAHA, we used to do that in high school.

When Sam tries to explain what happened, her father gets a call and, annoyed, says, - Ash, it's from work. I'll see you later, honey - Sam waves him off with a smile.

Sam was left alone in her room, but her father had managed to calm her down a bit. At dinner, he didn't even bring up the subject; he waited impatiently to see what the girls in the group would say.

- Girls, haven't you noticed anything strange? - Cinthia said.

The girls start shaking their heads, as if it had all been a moment's notice. Sam goes to her room to write. Hours pass while she continues, and suddenly a message arrives.

- Girls!!! - It only said that, it was from Sofia.

The girls started texting her, but she didn't respond. It was already late at night, and things started to be heard in the hallway of Sam's house.

- Ha... - was heard in the hallway.

Sam approached her door and opened it a little while she watched. There was a boy in a hoodie hitting some shadows.

- What? - said Sam.

The boy notices her, gives one last blow to the last shadow, and goes toward her, who was about to scream.

- No! Please! - shouts the boy as he quickly opens the door and covers Sam's mouth with his hands.

Scared, Sam begins to struggle, but the boy doesn't give in, saying, "

- Please don't scream! It's Jack! Jack called me! - He says while with one hand he takes off the hood he was wearing.
