Chapter 27 - Game master

Adam: Greg! Look! They already sent all the information about the game! All the rules, where I will play, who my referee will be and.. even that I will play against Tomi!

Greg: Huh? That was fast indeed. Tomi you say? I think you can beat him.

Adam: It's more important who you will be playing against?

Greg: Me? Oli.

Adam: Hmm... Oli? Who is he? I mean he is the one you played with in the previous game as well right?

Greg: Yeah, wonder how good he is...

Greg then notices something not so far away from them. It's bandeer, and he does not look super happy, more like shocked. Because of Greg looking there, Adam also notices it.

Adam: Is he okay?

Greg does not answer, just walks up to Bandeer, Adam a few seconds later follows Greg.

Greg: Hey Bandeer, is everything alright?

cough...

Bandeer: Yeah, of course. Why would I dare to tell you? Because you let me win before?

Greg: Yeah.

Bandeer: uh... .

Greg: I have a guess though.

Bandeer: ... I guess you are really annoying huh? Yeah, pretty sure you know exactly why I reacted like that just now. I will have to play against Todor.

Greg: By the way, where is he again?

Bandeer: By the way, who cares? BY THE WAY!

Greg: Alright calm down...

Bandeer: By the way, what he did in the action game...

Greg: You mean nothing?

Bandeer: No! I do not mean that! I know he technically did nothing while the match was playing. What I would like to know is why the hell would the protocol of dealing cards be so bullshit dumb and complex? There is a very small chance that a random cards dealing protocol could be abused this hard! There is no logical answer for that...

Greg just listens to him, his eyes closed, and he interrupts Bandeer...

Greg: You are wrong, there is an answer for that.

Bandeer: Huh? So? Care to tell me? And do not dare trying to tell me the typical "everything happens for a reason" bullshit!

Greg: You know, the games we play here in the BWCG are all new games that no one ever played before, so that means that the BWCG corporation itself is the one to create these games we are playing, so sure, there has to be one or more game masters.

Bandeer: Game masters? Well yeah obviously! Of course someone has to! So what does that have to do with that?

Greg: I'm pretty sure that the game master, or masters, are some kind of geniuses, and they made the game with one idea in mind, the game must be abuseable!

Bandeer doesn't know what to say... the game was really made to be abuseable? Greg is right? Why would they want the game to be abuseable? What do they gain with it? No... That's it!

Bandeer: Wait! So... The game is abuseable... but that is hidden and you have to find it, and if someone pulls it off... What happens then... No... I know what they get with it, because of Greg I now know, Greg thinks not only in the game itself, but also the fact that we are in a show that millions watch live... If someone pulls that thing off... The views will skyrocket!

Greg: Good job Bandeer. Yeah, that has to be the reason, and that is how I was able to predict that I will be playing against Todor in the 3rd game if I defeat you on the 2nd. Pretty sure Todor knows it all as well.

The next day soon came, every player was in their place where they will play already. We will witness 3 matches in total, the first will be Adam vs Tomi then Greg vs Oli and then finally Todor vs Bandeer. Adam and Tomi both have 2 points right now, Greg, Oli, Bandeer and Todor all have the maximum of 4 points.

Adam VS Tomi

Tomi: Adam, right? You are the friend of that guy Greg right? Seems like this is a good opportunity for me to take revenge finally!

Adam: You are nowhere in the same class as him, you did not have a chance to win, also he just did what he did because he had to in order to win, just accept he defeated you.

Tomi: Right, that's why this is the perfect time to get revenge. If I can't beat him, then I will simply win against his best friend!

Adam: I doubt that.

Greg VS Oli

Greg sits down saying nothing, only focused on the upcoming game.

Oli: I'm surprised we are gonna play against each other so soon again, it feels like it was yesterday.

Greg: Hm... Yeah, I mean it was literally yesterday.

Todor VS Bandeer

Todor: You seem a bit unsure about yourself, Bandeer. Is everything ok?

Bandeer: Me? Unsure? Not at all, you know you can be as smart as you want to be, it will not be enough against my luck!

Todor: It's sad that luck is not really a factor this time.

Bandeer: What are you saying?

Todor: I said that I do not need to rely on luck at all, and if you do rely on it, then you already lost, it's time already for those who are not smart to lose, not fun watching people just be dumb lucky.

Bandeer: Hey! I'm not just lucky I'm also smart! tch... You're doing this for a reason don't you?

Todor: Hmm. I thought it would take you longer to figure it out, maybe I underestimated you?

Bandeer: I don't even care anymore what you say about me, but... the thing you said before...

Todor: What did I say before exactly?

Bandeer: You know exactly what I talk about!

Todor: How would I know?

Of course, Todor knows what Bandeer talks about, about what Todor said just a minute ago, that he does not need to rely on luck at all to beat, no... CRUSH Bandeer in this game, but what could Todor be referring to? It really does not matter how lucky Bandeer is? Is his loss already guaranteed?
