Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Direction of the Stone Monkey's Training

Chapter 14: The Direction of the Stone Monkey's Training

After thinking it over, the only information he had revealed was the application form.

But how could Tang San have seen his application form?

Fortunately, it was just a Spirit Power breakthrough of level ten, which was not a big secret, so Sun Qi did not dwell on it.

He nodded lightly, and then asked: "Yes, I have broken through to level ten. What's the matter? Is there something wrong?"

Tang San said: "My teacher said that he can help you plan the subsequent Spirit Rings."

Sun Qi shook his head directly.

"Forget it, it's not necessary."

Tang San frowned.

"Sun Qi, my teacher is invincible in theory, and besides you, there is only one example of a separated Spirit on the continent. He is a pioneer and has sufficient experience in how to cultivate separated Spirits."

Sun Qi curled his lips.

He didn't want to continue talking to Tang San.

If he continued, he would inevitably say something bad about Yu Xiaogang. If he said something bad about Yu Xiaogang, then Tang San would definitely be furious.

"Sun Qi, you know nothing about Spirits. Choosing a Spirit Ring isn't as simple as you think."

"No thanks," Sun Qi refused again.

Tang San gave Sun Qi a cold look, then, without sending him to see Yu Xiaogang, he left Dormitory Seven.

"You're being taken for granted," Yu Xiaogang sneered, learning of Sun Qi's attitude from Tang San. "It seems he thinks he's great just because he figured out some cultivation techniques. Go ahead and practice blindly. The combination of Spirit Rings isn't something you can just casually choose. When he regrets it later, don't say we didn't give him a chance."

Sun Qi successfully applied for leave two days later and was able to leave the Academy.

He set out alone.

As he was leaving the Academy, Yu Xiaogang appeared behind the gate.

He stared at Sun Qi's departing figure, his eyes dark.

"In two and a half years, he has reached the ninth level of Spirit Power. How did Sun Qi do that..."

It was impossible to say that he didn't mind.

Yu Xiaogang agreed to the dean to plan a Spirit Ring for Sun Qi and was also going to check Sun Qi's situation at the same time to see if he could figure out why Sun Qi cultivated so quickly.

But Sun Qi was unmoved, so he didn't continue to force it.

With his status as a master, could he really ask an eight-year-old child to plan a cultivation route for this child?

Yu Xiaogang would not allow himself to do so.

"This kid, there is indeed something wrong. It turns out that he has hooked up with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect."

After following for a while, Yu Xiaogang finally understood the reason.

He did not continue to follow the investigation and turned back to the Academy.

...

"They look alike."

Ning Fengxing looked at the two Sun Qis, compared them, and couldn't help but sigh.

No verification is needed.

These are the twin brothers Armor Sun Qi mentioned.

"I don't know what happened to your parents back then, but your brother ended up in Seven Trasure Village, part of our Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and you ended up here."

Ning Fengxing relayed the information he'd received from Armor Sun Qi to Sun Qi, explaining his origins.

Sun Qi listened to Ning Ning Fengxing explanation, a look of sudden realization dawning on him.

"Sun Qi is a disciple of our Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's Bone Douluo. Although your aptitude is somewhat inferior, you'll receive the best training by joining our Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect."

Sun Qi shook his head and politely declined, "Senior, I have great respect for the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, but my aptitude is truly insufficient, and I'd rather not join."

He then explained that his innate Spirit Power was only at level one.

Upon hearing this, Ning Fengzhi didn't invite him again.

He also didn't expect that Sun Qi had such poor talent.

With an innate first-level Spirit Power, he could actually cultivate to the tenth level at the age of eight, which was quite rare.

"Are you also called Sun Qi?"

Ning Fengxing was a little surprised that the two brothers had the same name.

The two Sun Qis shrugged, saying they didn't understand why.

Ning Fengxing didn't delve into it.

"If you find it troublesome to distinguish, you can call me Sun Shi."

"What is your Spirit?"

Ning Fengxing mission this time was to help the two Sun Qis obtain Spirit Rings, and now he also wanted to understand the situation of Sun Qi.

"My Spirit is an Out Of Body Spirit, a stone monkey."

Sun Qi summoned Xiao Sun, which made Ning Fengxing eyes become strange.

"If I remember correctly, there have been examples of Spirits similar to yours on the mainland."

Ning Fengxing softened his tone and inquired about Sun Qi's Spirit for more details, such as its fighting style and behavioral characteristics.

"Xiao Sun is doing fine, just like any other monkey. He can scratch, kick, climb trees, and jump without any problems. I've also trained him in some stick techniques over the past two years."

Ning Fengxing breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, although both were separate Spirits, Sun Qi's Spirit didn't exhibit the explosive behavior of farting as a fighting method.

"If it's no different from an ordinary monkey, then there will be more Spirit Ring options," Ning Fengxing said.

Sun Qi said, "My first Spirit Ring would ideally be ape-type, the more spiritual, the better."

Ning Fengxing nodded, indicating that this wasn't a problem.

Sun Qi's decision was the result of careful consideration.

Xiao Sun could best digest ape-type Spirit Rings, and the more spiritual ape-type Spirit Rings, the better for Xiao Sun's growth.

Sun Qi initially considered replenishing his own body's essence to address his innate weaknesses. However, as he cultivated, he increasingly realized that the Stone Monkey was the foundation of his original body.

Spirit Rings could benefit his original body, but only if they significantly enhanced Sun Qi.

The growth of his separated Spirits is perhaps the key to cultivating them.

Just like the original Spirit, the strength of the original Spirit stems not from its inherent strength but from its potential for growth.

Many original Spirits, for example, have low innate Spirit Power upon awakening. Sun Qi's Eye Spirit, for example, possesses only level three innate Spirit Power.

This innate weakness isn't due to the Spirit being weak, but rather to the fragility of the corresponding body part.

As a Spirit Master cultivates, the corresponding body part grows stronger, benefiting the Spirit and leading to continuous transformation.

This transformation occurs naturally with cultivation. Furthermore, Spirit Masters acquire Spirit Rings to strengthen specific body parts, which naturally impacts their Spirits.

The same logic might apply to a disembodied Spirit.

A disembodied Spirit is itself an independent entity. Perhaps the Spirit's strength is directly linked to the growth of this independent entity. The better the entity, the higher the quality of the Spirit, and naturally, the higher the Spirit Master's aptitude.

The requirement for high spirituality is also Sun Qi's plan to allow the little stone monkey to catch up mentally first.

He has some ideas, including trying to connect the little stone monkey with himself mentally first, and then finding a way to connect with the other six original bodies.

If this can be achieved, the little stone monkey's future is bright.

Currently, the seven original bodies simultaneously cultivating the stone monkey's technique have already brought noticeable results. It's hard to imagine how much greater the benefits the stone monkey would gain by directly connecting through mental power.

This might even be more exaggerated than mimicry cultivation.
