Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Master's Charity

Chapter 13: The Master's Charity

Upon hearing that the aptitude issue could be resolved, the little stone monkey let out a groan and began meditating earnestly.

Sun Qi had repeatedly addressed the aptitude issue between the man and the monkey, and he knew the chances of improving it were rare. Now, Sun Qi actually suggested that if he held back until he obtained a Spirit Ring and cultivated more invisible Spirit Power, the stone monkey would improve his aptitude. The little stone monkey immediately believed him.

He practiced diligently.

Seeing this, Sun Qi nodded with satisfaction.

And so, the man and the monkey remained at level ten for another three full months.

In three months, according to Sun Qi's calculations, they had cultivated at least one more level of Spirit Power.

Meanwhile, Armor Sun Qi had finally broken through.

Yes, a breakthrough!

Actually, Twin Sun Qi was slightly faster, but Sun Qi didn't want to expose his connection to the Spirit Hall, so he had to wait for Armor Sun Qi.

Of course, the difference in time wasn't that much, only a month.

"Tang San hasn't even broken through level 20 yet, but the Twin and Armored bodies have already done so. I'm the winner in this regard," Sun Qi thought to himself.

Of his seven main bodies, with the exception of Seal Sun Qi and Sun Qi, the other five have become Spirit Masters, possessing their first Spirit Rings. Twin Sun Qi has even successfully hunted souls, possessing his second Spirit Ring, becoming a true Great Spirit Master.

Now, Sun Qi will join Armor Sun Qi in hunting souls, acquiring the corresponding first and second Spirit Rings.

In the principal's office,

Yu Xiaogang looked across at the Academy principal, a look of confusion on his face.

Seeing this, the dean sighed helplessly and held out an application form.

"This is Sun Qi's application. His Spirit Power has broken through to level 10, and he's applying to go out and hunt souls,"

Yu Xiaogang frowned slightly.

It was only after some thought that he remembered who Sun Qi was.

Upon remembering Sun Qi's identity, his pupils shrank, and he stood up, his tone somewhat vehement. "Him? How is that possible?"

Sun Qi was just a useless Soul Master with only level one innate Spirit Power. How could he possibly break through to level ten?

Breaking through to level ten was acceptable, but it had only been two and a half years.

He had awakened his Spirit for a mere two and a half years. How could he possibly break through to level ten?

Breaking through to level nine Spirit Power in two and a half years, even to a level just below level ten, was an absurd pace.

"Impossible, absolutely impossible!" Yu Xiaogang slammed the table.

After slamming the table, he brought the application form to his eyes and examined it carefully.

It was indeed an application form, and the details were clear: Sun Qi had reached level ten and needed to obtain a Spirit Ring, so he requested three months of leave.

The dean, observing Yu Xiaogang's demeanor, knew that he had no investment in Sun Qi.

"Alas, Xiaogang, Sun Qi's Spirit is most similar to yours, yet you haven't even noticed his talent?"

Yu Xiaogang looked a little dazed.

"No, even if he's cultivating fast now, it won't matter. His aptitude has already determined his ceiling. Once he reaches level 29, he'll only be able to watch the nearly 30th level, unable to break through." He chuckled to himself, still dismissing Sun Qi.

Seeing this, the dean sighed.

"Xiaogang, not everyone has your background and looks down on Great Soul Masters. Sun Qi has such talent, and he's still a student of the Academy. It's certainly good for him to have a more stable path to becoming a Great Soul Master." The dean looked at Yu Xiaogang and said with a hint of pleading, "Plan a path for him. Perhaps it will help him to walk a more stable path."

Yu Xiaogang frowned.

He looked at the dean, but ultimately didn't refuse.

After all, he had been at Notting Academy for so long, and it was difficult for him to refuse his friend.

The dean breathed a sigh of relief after receiving Yu Xiaogang's affirmative response.

Yu Xiaogang returned to his room and summoned Tang San.

"Teacher, you wanted to see me?"

Tang San, ever so polite, bowed upon entering, then asked, perplexed, what urgent matter had Yu Xiaogang sought him out on.

Yu Xiaogang replied directly, "Sun Qi, who's in your class, has broken through to level 10. Did you know?"

Tang San, also surprised, asked, "Sun Qi level ten?"

After Sun Qi dealt with Liu Long and Ling Feng, Tang San had indeed been curious about him for a while, occasionally seeing him in the back mountains.

However, Sun Qi's life was so routine, and without any opportunities to interact with others, Tang San had forgotten about him over time.

Now that Yu Xiaogang had mentioned him, Tang San was truly astonished.

Breaking through from level one to level ten in just two and a half years—wasn't that a bit of an exaggeration?

"Teacher, are you sure?"

Yu Xiaogang said. "I also heard this from the Dean. Go check with Sun Qi and confirm the situation. If he has truly achieved a breakthrough, you can bring him to me and I can answer some of his questions about Spirit Rings."

Tang San looked puzzled.

He hadn't expected his own Master to offer to answer someone else's questions.

After more than two years at Notting Academy, Tang San had a deep understanding of Yu Xiaogang's status. He was merely a guest here, not teaching at all.

Moreover, he knew his Master was very proud and wouldn't normally lower himself to teach a student.

"By the way, Teacher, he wants to obtain Spirit Rings. Who will he go with?"

Yu Xiaogang shook his head.

"I don't know. He just requested a three-month leave and didn't specify how to obtain Spirit Rings."

Tang San frowned, a thought stirring in his mind, remembering Sun Qi's staff techniques he had witnessed two years ago.

"Teacher, Sun Qi's staff skills are extraordinary; it doesn't seem like something a single person could master..."

Upon hearing this, Yu Xiaogang pondered for a moment.

He shook his head and said, "Forget it. Where he learned this staff skill, or how he plans to obtain Spirit Rings, is none of our business. I promised the dean to show him the way."

"I'll go talk to him," Tang San said.

...

Dormitory 7.

Two years had passed, and Dormitory 7 had become much quieter. Part-time students like Wang Sheng had graduated, leaving only Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Sun Qi in Dormitory 7. Part-time students weren't added every year. Before Sun Qi's class, there had been no new students for two or three years, and after them, there had been no new students.

This left Sun Qi speechless.

Didn't this mean that without him, Tang San and Xiao Wu would have occupied Dormitory 7 alone?

Tang San was called away by Yu Xiaogang, and Xiao Wu had gone somewhere to show off. Now Sun Qi was the only one left in the dormitory.

Sun Qi closed his eyes and sat cross-legged on the bed with the little stone monkey, meditating.

"Sun Qi."

Tang San's voice interrupted Sun Qi from his meditation.

Sun Qi opened his eyes and looked at Tang San in confusion.

"You broke through to level ten?" Tang San asked directly.

Sun Qi frowned slightly.

He had broken through to level ten a long time ago, and he had never told anyone about it.

How did Tang San get this news at this time? Where did he get it?
