Chapter 40 - Taijutsu Is Weak?

Hearing Shinji's threat, Naruto instinctively thought of his previous painful experiences and quickly shook his head, saying, "Sensei, let's start learning Nature Transformation."

Shinji shook his head and said, "It's not about learning it yet, just to give you a basic understanding first."

After speaking, he raised his hand and released a ball of Chakra, explaining, "Naruto, look, the Chakra in my hand right now is a ball of Chakra without any specific attribute. But once Wind Release is added, I can highly compress the energy and transform it into a sharp state."

As Shinji spoke, the Chakra in his hand gradually incorporated Wind Release under his manipulation. The originally chaotic and free-flowing Chakra, with the addition of Wind Release, gradually compressed and took on a blade-like form.

Buzz—!

A Wind Chakra blade formed in Shinji's hand, cutting through the surrounding air.

Shinji asked, looking at Naruto, "Naruto, what do you think of this ball of Chakra in my hand now?"

"It's very dangerous."

Naruto instinctively took a small step back, not out of fear, but because the constantly cutting wind blade made him feel that getting too close might result in accidental injury.

"That's right, in fact, this ball of Chakra already possesses a certain level of destructive power."

Saying this, Shinji walked towards a nearby rock, raised his hand, and swung it down.

Bang!

The rock was easily sliced through by the wind blade in Shinji's hand, as if it were tofu.

"Gulp—"

Naruto looked at the sliced rock in front of him and couldn't help but gulp.

If it can cut rocks like that, what about cutting vegetables?

Naruto felt that his previous thought was very dangerous.

"Extreme compression results in an unbreakable cutting force, achieving single-point penetration, and if released, it can also achieve wide-range suppression."

Saying this, Shinji pointed his two fingers at the ground, easily poking a small hole. Then he opened his palm and pressed down sharply.

The Chakra in his hand was released, and the entire training ground seemed to be swept by a strong wind. The dust on the ground rolled outwards, and the surrounding iron fences swayed precariously in the wind.

"Did you understand?" Shinji then stood up and asked Naruto.

Naruto lowered his hands, which had been covering his face from the dust, and nodded.

He understood that although Shinji hadn't said much, he was answering his two somewhat nonsensical questions from earlier.

Although Wind Release Chakra primarily focuses on cutting and sharpness, it doesn't mean it loses its original destructive power. How it operates depends entirely on the will of the user.

"I understand, sensei."

"Hmm, tomorrow I'll bring Chakra paper to test your Chakra nature." Shinji nodded.

When teaching Naruto, sometimes no matter how much you say, showing him practical application is faster.

It's just that his wild, imaginative ideas that pop up from time to time are a bit hard to understand.

Shinji pointed to Shikamaru and Choji, who were doing frog jumps not far away. "For now, train well with Shikamaru and Choji. A strong physique is a good choice for a ninja."

"No problem, sensei!"

Naruto, full of enthusiasm, responded loudly and then ran over to train with Shikamaru and Choji.

Shinji stood not far from them, looking at Shikamaru and Choji's sweaty faces.

"Physical training is not an overnight thing. In this regard, I can't give you any special techniques. But the growth of your physique will ensure that you're not limited to only Ninjutsu or Genjutsu as offensive methods."

"Taijutsu is also an essential skill for a Ninja. Having a strong physique will make your Taijutsu training twice as effective."

Ino, who had already learned to climb trees, walked over at this moment, raising her hand to ask, "Sensei, but can't Ninjutsu and Genjutsu easily suppress Taijutsu?"

Shinji smiled and asked Ino, "Who told you that?"

"Uh, I just thought so myself." Ino said, scratching her head, a little embarrassed.

"Actually, you're not wrong, but only if it's large-scale Ninjutsu or the type specialized in restraint."

"Otherwise, for a powerful ninja highly skilled in Taijutsu, a single-target breakthrough can easily solve the problem."

"This is why the Hyuga clan can contend with other major clans using Gentle Fist. Moreover, Taijutsu isn't just Taijutsu, there's also Nintaijutsu, which combines Taijutsu with Ninjutsu."

"As for the Genjutsu you mentioned, unless it's the instantaneous type, Genjutsu that relies on sensory, visual, or auditory suggestions…"

"What do you think will happen?"

Hearing Shinji's words, Ino was stunned.

According to what Shinji said, there really didn't seem to be a good solution, as only the Uchiha clan could perform instantaneous Genjutsu.

If it were an ordinary ninja, they might be taken down at close range before they could even use their jutsu.

"Sensei, there shouldn't be such a monstrous Taijutsu ninja, right?"

Ino was a little unsure, as in her understanding, besides Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, ninjas were either like her and Shikamaru, who used secret techniques. Taijutsu-type ninjas were very rare.

"That's not necessarily true. There was one in Konoha before, and there's one now."

And one will appear in the future.

Shinji said this in his mind.

Lee's initial appearance amazed many people. Later, due to everyone's power-ups, he didn't shine as brightly.

"Before? Now?"

Ino's eyes widened.

One appearing was strange enough, but two?

"That's right. The current Jonin, Might Guy, is a pure Taijutsu-type ninja, and the one before was his father. Both of them are very admirable ninjas."

After speaking, Shinji pushed Ino forward and said, "Alright, enough small talk. You go train with them too."

Ino, being pushed forward, had a bitter expression. She had only sought out Shinji to chat because she didn't want to do this training.

— — —

Shinji watched his disciples train enthusiastically, a smile involuntarily appearing on his face.

Grow quickly, for only when you grow strong can I become even stronger.

Not far away, Naruto had taken the lead, driving the others forward.

Shikamaru and Choji, behind him, looked at Naruto and gritted their teeth, continuing to persevere.

Shinji said, "I'll treat whoever finishes the training today to an all-you-can-eat barbecue at the grill house."

Healthy competition requires maintaining bonds and sometimes a little temptation can also work wonders.

Upon hearing Shinji say this, Choji's eyes lit up, and he mustered his strength to launch a fierce charge toward Naruto.

He kept muttering, "Meat! Meat! I want meat!"

For a moment, Shikamaru, who had fallen behind, looked helpless.

However, seeing Choji's determined look, he too gritted his teeth and chased after him.
