Chapter 2 - The Silkworm, Tianmeng

Chapter Two: The Silkworm, Tian meng

Then I spun the wheel once more…

This time, the pointer stopped at the world of One Piece.

A new box appeared before me.

Inside it… the Gura Gura no Mi — Beside it were several combat techniques and skills, and a card engraved with the words: All Types of Haki.

I spun the wheel again…

But this time, everything felt completely random.

When it stopped, two boxes appeared.

The first box contained: A golden card engraved with: Gate of Worlds and Time.

Ten cards titled: Plunder — each usable once.

Ten other cards titled: Absolute Loyalty — also usable once.

As for the second box, it bore the names of two worlds: Hokuto no Ken and Ben 10.

Inside were two cards: The first carried the names Kenshiro and Rei.

The second carried the name Azmuth — duration: one day.

The moment I touched them, they vanished… yet instinctively, I knew how to use them.

Then I spun the wheel once more…

And this time, it stopped at the world of Douluo.

The box that appeared contained:

A card bearing a martial soul: Spirit Eye.

And another card titled: King-Level Experience — duration: one hour.

And a collection of techniques and combat arts from the Tang Sect, including the Fusion Technique, the Yin-Yang Technique, and the Spirit Contract from Douluo 4.

And finally… five cards titled: Upgrade to One Million Years.

After that, everything began to fade…

When I opened my eyes again, I found that I had returned to my original place.

But there was a surprise — my body had completely healed.

I was no longer certain whether it was because of the Senju bloodline or for an entirely different reason… but that no longer mattered.

What matters now: it is time to leave.

If I remain here… I will undoubtedly die.

If Shrek Academy discovers what I have become, they will pursue me as a mortal enemy.

The matter has already become one of life and death.

There is no time to waste.

I directed my thoughts toward the Gate of Worlds and Time.

Within seconds, space around me rippled and twisted, then swallowed me whole.

It was not an ordinary gate.

It possessed astonishing abilities: traveling between parallel worlds, manipulating time and space, and crossing into any universe I desire. This means that in the future, I can go to worlds such as One Piece or Naruto.

I asked it to transport me to the timeline before Huo Yuhao obtained the Iceworm.

Upon arrival, I began wandering alone along the outer edges of the Star Dou Forest, patiently waiting for the appearance of the Ice Silk Worm.

At that moment, I saw two men and one woman roasting fish over an open fire beside a small stream.

If I am not mistaken… they are Huo Yuhao, Tang Ya, and Bei Bei.

The boy — around eleven or twelve years old — was thin and dressed in simple gray clothing. His short black hair was neatly combed, and his youthful face carried a determination far beyond his years.

There is no doubt about it…

He is Huo Yuhao.

At that moment, a surge of anger and sorrow swept over me, so intense it nearly burned my eyes.

I knew that in this timeline, Huo Yuhao had done nothing to me yet… nothing had occurred between us to justify hatred… and yet I could not restrain the overwhelming loathing nor the deep pain rising from within me.

The girl — who appeared fifteen or sixteen — had long black hair tied in a ponytail, and her light blue attire radiated youth and vitality.

Her wide almond-shaped eyes shimmered with energy, her nose was straight, and her oval face was nearly flawless.

She stared at the grilled fish before her with fascination… that was Tang Ya.

Beside her stood a young man with gentle features and a calm smile — Bei Bei.

I hid silently among the trees, watching them from afar with no intention of revealing my presence.

It was not yet time for that meeting… what I had come for was the Heavenly Dream Ice Silkworm.

Suddenly, an immense wave of spiritual power surged into my mind, and a deep voice echoed within me:

"Finally… I've met a human. What astonishing spiritual power!

Ah… if only I could cry, I would shed tears!"

My eyes widened in shock.

The voice felt strangely familiar… and then I realized — it was Tian Meng, the Ice Silkworm itself!

The moment I understood, the ground beneath my feet trembled violently.

Fine cracks appeared just two meters away, slowly widening, faint golden-white light seeping out from within.

I bent closer to the ground, watching carefully.

Cold seeped into my skin, and the air grew heavier… until even my breath seemed to freeze.

The fissure widened further and further, until it reached five meters across.

Then the frozen light split apart — like icy mist slowly dispersing.

From within the fissure emerged a massive, round, fleshy head, more than a meter wide. It rose upward in a deliberate, slow motion, followed by a long body nearly seven meters in length.

Its color was pure white, gleaming like polished snow, translucent like crystal, while faint golden patterns glowed beneath its surface.

Two small golden eyes shone upon its head, pulsing with unmistakable awareness.

Half a meter behind the head extended ten circular golden rings all the way to its tail — ten complete patterns.

The same voice returned, this time gentler, almost carrying longing:

"Do not be afraid… I will not harm you."

The enormous Ice Silkworm lowered its head toward him, stopping only one meter away.

Ji Lin felt a cold and pure current flow into his chest, and with it, a strange sensation forming deep within…

His true story had begun now.

The Ice Silkworm nodded its massive head, and its voice echoed inside his mind:

"Of course… little brother. Are you impressed by my magnificent body?"

Ji Lin's lips trembled involuntarily.

Why… why was the Ice Silkworm, Tian Meng, this narcissistic?

He asked cautiously, "What exactly do you want?"

The Ice Silkworm's voice rose with obvious pride:

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am the embodiment of heroism and courage, the queen of spirit beasts, blessed with wisdom, beauty, and unmatched power. I have cultivated for more than a million years and hold the record for the longest lifespan on the Douluo Continent! Hmm… you may call me the great and mighty Sister Tian Meng!"

"A spirit beast… one hundred million years old?"

Ji Lin muttered, feigning ignorance, concealing what he knew and forcing himself to remain polite.

Tian Meng's voice brimmed with pride as she replied:

"Are you astonished? Excited? You should be! You are the first human to witness the true form of this unparalleled greatness."

Ji Lin's gaze sharpened.

"Then… what exactly do you intend to do?"

Suddenly, Tian Meng's voice turned majestic, heavy enough to make his heart tighten:

"I will become… your sister, your spirit ring — the first sentient spirit ring in the history of the Douluo Continent."

The Ice Silkworm slowly moved her enormous head, scanning the depths of the Great Star Forest, then turned her gaze back to him.

She continued calmly:

It will begin now… do not worry. I will be gentle… I will not hurt you too much."
