Chapter 3 - The First Soul-to-Soul Contract

Chapter 3: The First Soul-to-Soul Contract

Ji Lin smiled softly and said, "Well then… my sister."

He raised his hand, and from between his fingers, strange threads of light burst forth, weaving in the air an ancient pattern filled with glowing symbols. With each motion, the very space around them trembled with a profound sense of awe.

"This is… the Soul-to-Soul Contract."

Energy surged into Tianming's body, causing her icy aura to shine brighter and brighter, until her translucent form resembled a colossal, radiant crystal.

Ji Lin smiled once more and said, "This is very good… it's far better than being just a spirit ring with only consciousness… don't you agree, my sister?"

Tianming's massive head lowered slightly, her luminous golden eyes shimmering with heartfelt emotion as she replied, "Yes… my brother, this is far better…"

And with that, the very first Soul-to-Soul Contract in the history of the Douluo Continent was completed, illuminating a new path no one had ever imagined before.

The ten golden halos on the body of the Ice Silkworm, Tianming, pulsed as if alive before she leaned forward and pressed her head against Ji Lin's forehead.

In an instant, the golden halos swiftly engulfed Ji Lin's body, while Tianming herself transformed into streams of white light, endlessly flowing into him.

Her voice trembled within his mind, filled with excitement:

"So strong! What incredible spiritual power… and what astonishing physical fitness! His true age must be only twelve years, yet… at just twelve, he possesses spiritual strength of this level! This… this is a superhuman genius, isn't he?"

A wild laugh echoed deep within him:

"This aura of spirit energy! It's… it's actually spirit itself, hahahaha! I'm so fortunate! I'm so wealthy! As a Spirit Soul of a million years… he will definitely achieve ascension! Yes… my plan will succeed!"

Overcome with exhilaration, Tianming hastened her fusion with Ji Lin.

As she poured into his body, an invisible spiritual wave spread outward, and in an instant, a terrifying spiritual force enveloped every corner within a hundred-mile radius.

The southern reaches of the Great Star Dou Forest sank into a suffocating silence… a silence that sent chills crawling over the skin.

And then—suddenly—the sky darkened. Just moments ago it had been perfectly clear, yet now a thunderous boom resounded from above as darkness swallowed the sun's rays entirely. An oppressive weight, crushing and immense, descended from the heavens as though intending to obliterate everything beneath it.

Tianming, struggling to merge with Ji Lin's body, shuddered violently beneath that deafening roar. Her massive form trembled, and her small golden eyes lifted toward the heavens, staring in dread.

And in that instant… a flicker of profound fear, mingled with bewilderment, shone in her gaze. The oppressive might that fell from the sky did not seem to be directed at her alone… but rather at something that lay completely beyond her comprehension.

A stream of gray air descended from the heavens, as though drawn down by an immense suction, and in an instant, it pierced the back of Ji Lin's head without making a sound.

"Who dares to steal my man?!" the Ice Silkworm, Tianming, roared in fury, unleashing her vast spiritual power in an attempt to drive out the gray intruder from Ji Lin's body.

Behind him, a mysterious figure took form, and the voice of an ancient elder, brimming with majesty, resounded through the void:

"I grasp the sun and moon within my hands, and pluck the stars—none can rival me in this world. I never imagined that a fragment of my soul would yet remain."

Despite the mental storm Tianming unleashed, the ethereal figure remained unmoved, unaffected. With a faint whistle, it vanished into the back of Ji Lin's head.

Tianming froze in shock, having seen clearly that the gray air had transformed, the moment it entered Ji Lin's mind, into a tiny gray bead no larger than a bean. It settled quietly, motionless—neither resisting her power nor yielding to it.

"Impossible! I finally found a human with such a strong soul and such overwhelming talent, and now some interloper dares to snatch away my chance? This… this is absurd! Ah, what misfortune, my little brother…"

Yet despite her anger, Tianming continued the fusion with unwavering resolve. Thick streams of white light surged forth from her, pouring steadily into Ji Lin's body, while her own form grew increasingly transparent, fading away. At the moment she began injecting her power, there was no path of return.

Ji Lin's body transformed entirely, becoming a pure, jade-like white—resembling Tianming's own form in the distant past.

"Hahaha… no matter what happens, I am finally free. You vile creatures who lusted after me as prey—you will gain nothing! Hahaha…" Tianming's laughter echoed faintly through the air, only to wither away as her existence dissolved.

The immense spiritual force that had covered a hundred miles gradually dissipated. Deep within the Great Star Dou Forest, terrifying auras surged forth at that very moment, sensing danger. But in the end, finding nothing, they withdrew in disappointment.

(First-person POV)

After about three minutes…

Hmm… it's done! I've successfully taken possession of Tianming.

Still, I hadn't expected that the combined bloodlines of the Senju and the Uchiha would grant me this much power, allowing me to awaken with a complete Spirit Soul from the very start.

Well then… the next step is clear: join up with my partner in this timeline, and learn everything there is to know about Spirit Masters.

I think one year will be enough for me…

To master all the knowledge of Spirit Masters… to charm the girls… and to claim their hearts.

Jiang Nannan, Tang Ya, Ma Xiaotao, Meng Hongchen, Wu Jiuzi, Xiao Xiao, Tang Wutong, Qiu'er…

There were so many beauties during the golden age of the Tang Sect—far more, even, than those of Douluo 1.

The three core elements of a Douluo transmigration: showing off, flirting with girls, and defeating Tang San.

Although I can't defeat Tang San just yet, I can at least head to Shrek Academy and try to win Tang Wutong's heart. Tang Wutong was stunningly beautiful, but what truly captured me was her hidden identity…

That secret added a thrilling edge to her character. And after all, Tang San sent her straight to me—how could I possibly let her slip away?

But for the moment, the one who truly deserved my attention wasn't Tang Wutong, but Tang Ya.

Though Tang Ya wasn't the most beautiful among the Tang Sect's peerless disciples, she was the Sect Master herself, and later became the Holy Maiden of the Spirit Hall—an elegant woman of high status and dignity.

Since my transmigration, my goal hasn't only been to defeat Tang San, but also to bring down the Tang Sect, especially Huo Yuhao.

I planned to seize every opportunity to humiliate Huo Yuhao.

Even though Huo Yuhao had endured a rough life, he was an obsessive devotee of Tang San and his family—truly nothing more than a pathetic bootlicker.

Tang San might be just a villain, but Huo Yuhao was a hypocrite through and through. The foolish stunts he pulled later in the story constantly made my blood boil.

The worst part about Huo Yuhao was his false claim of being a devoted lover, when in truth he was chasing after multiple women at once.

His so-called "faithfulness" included groping Wang Qiu'er's chest and saying, "Qiu'er, I didn't mean anything by it." Then, after her death, he shamelessly turned to flirt with Tang Wutong as if nothing had happened.

He even spoiled Wu Jiuzi on the Northern Plains, kissed her several times without hesitation, and in the end used her child as a bargaining chip.

Honestly… I've never seen a more ridiculous, laughable "hero" in any fantasy novel I've ever read.
