Chapter 31 - The Gate of Realms: A Decision Beyond DOULUO

Chapter 31: The Gate of Realms: A Decision Beyond DOULUO

However… things would change entirely if I were to step into another realm. After all, the Pillage and Loyalty Card won't endure forever, and the abilities I currently hold—so dominant here—might become worthless in countless other worlds. Worse still, they could even turn into a fatal weakness.

What exactly is the DOULUO Realm? At its peak, it doesn't even measure up to the average of the Upper Realms. Its power pales when compared to neighboring worlds like Tales of Demons and Gods, Peerless Battle, Spirit Master, or Peerless Martial God. Yet despite that, DOULUO still stands stronger than many lesser realms.

Even so… my very existence within DOULUO grants me an overwhelming edge. If I choose to ascend into a higher realm through the Pillage Card, I could temper my body into an unparalleled vessel of potential—perhaps even beyond that. This world brims with untapped power, especially within the mysterious "Spirit of the Body."

But… do I truly wish to abandon this realm, to cast myself into the boundless multiverse?

Would I forsake the very dreams I've pursued—wealth, beauty, prestige, and supreme power? Here, in DOULUO, all of that lies within my grasp.

And yet… choosing this path might leave me with nothing. It could even cost me my life.

Still, there exists the chance to obtain all of it—magnified countless times over. But to reach it, I must gamble everything.

Am I truly ready… to fight in a struggle that surpasses even the limits of DOULUO itself?

For me… immortality and absolute power are not what I seek.

What I truly desire is to fulfill my own wishes.

And those wishes… are not something the DOULUO Realm can ever grant me.

There are people I yearn to meet, experiences I long to seize, and power I ache to witness with my own hands. All of these exist beyond the narrow boundaries of this realm.

After long reflection and careful analysis, I've come to one conclusion: if I truly wish to leave this world, I must acquire two distinct types of Martial Spirits—the first, a Body Martial Spirit;

the second, a Tool Martial Soul.

I must also obtain a powerful bloodline. At present, I have only the Senju bloodline and the Uchiha bloodline.

As for my Martial Spirit, it's true—my second spirit will be the Ice Empress, a spirit considered strong within DOULUO… yet, in the end, it remains inferior to many other Martial Spirits in this realm—lesser even than the Snow Empress, Bi Ji, Di Tian, and the Evil-Eyed Emperor.

That is why I must obtain a spirit from the Tool Martial Soul category and another from the Body category—especially since possessing an entire body as a Martial Spirit is far more reliable than any other type.

These two kinds of spirits would become priceless to me across countless worlds.

It's true that I already possess the Spirit Eye, which belongs to the Body category. Yet it is still far from equal to possessing a complete body as a Martial Spirit.

In any case… the Spirit Eye is far too weak. Its abilities are something I can acquire by other means.

I have made my decision.

The reason I chose my body as a Martial Spirit lies in the Nightmare Demon Vessel—an artifact that grants the power to fuse Martial Spirits and forge something entirely new… an original existence.

My plan is simple in theory, yet terrifying in scope: to merge the Body Spirit with the Ice Empress Spirit. Such a fusion would not only give birth to a completely original beast-type Martial Spirit, but it would also transform my body itself into that of a beast… or perhaps into something even greater—especially when tempered by the bloodline flowing within me.

I am confident that fusing the Spirit Eye with a Body Spirit will be relatively straightforward. After all, something similar occurred in the original storyline, when Tang Xuanyu successfully merged his dual spirits into one. If he could achieve it, then so can I. This proves I should be able to fuse the Spirit Eye with the Body Spirit I obtain.

However… merging the Ice Empress Spirit with the original Body Spirit will be far more arduous. Yet even so, I already hold the answer within my grasp. What I need now is a bloodline powerful enough to elevate the Ice Empress Spirit into something far more supreme.

That is why I know, with certainty, that I must soon travel to another world.

Once I finished arranging my thoughts, with my path now shining vividly before me, I understood—the time had finally come.

I began setting my priorities, throwing myself wholly into the pursuit of techniques, alchemy, and inscriptions.

For twenty long years, I immersed myself within the Time Demon Book—a span of effort and struggle that, in the outside world, amounted to no more than two fleeting hours.

During that time, I absorbed knowledge and mastery in abundance—especially after Electrolux awakened.

The first step before me now… is to face Xiao Xiao.

As for Wang Dong'er, I would rather avoid him for the moment. His circumstances are far too complicated. His spirit has been fractured into three parts: one fragment, semi-conscious, lies within Shrek Academy; another rests with Tang San; and the final portion remains sealed within the Golden Lion.

That is why I resolved to meet Xiao Xiao first… and only afterward seek out the Ice Empress.

Besides, I still hadn't used the card I claimed from the DOULUO Realm's treasure chest.

So now… I would use it.

In truth, this card is unlike the other Pillage Cards. It is designed specifically for the DOULUO Realm itself.

Yet I did not hesitate. Without a shred of doubt, I summoned the Gate of Realms and commanded it to return me to the original timeline from which I had come.

In the next instant, my body was transported according to my will. With my transformation technique engaged, I advanced straight toward Shrek Academy. There were people I needed to meet… and to be honest, they were my pampered girls.

The first I sought was Ling Luochen, the one consumed by love. We spent nearly three blissful hours together. Afterward, I went to Zhu Lu, and there we shared around four hours in each other's company. From there, I visited Jiang Nannan, and at last, Zhang Lexuan.
