Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Infinite Mana

[Ding! 5,000 heavenly points have been deducted.]

[0/20,000]

[Ding! You have received the Divine-ranked Trait, .]

[(Infinite Mana Vessel:)]

[(A divine-ranked trait that grants its wielder an inexhaustible and limitless supply of mana.)]

'Infinite Mana?' Damian thought as his mind raced through the system prompts. 'This definitely has to be the jackpot.'

[Ding! Omni system fully initialized.]

[Everything is now complete.]

"Uh, why are there question marks everywhere in my profile?" Damian asked.

[Oh, that's because you haven't transmigrated yet. Upon reaching the Green Azure Kingdom, the full stats will be unlocked.]

"Okay, that kinda makes sense," he began. "But this 'infinite mana' thing, does it mean I have an endless pool of mana?"

[That should be correct.]

"And 'divine ranked'?" he questioned. "What's with all this ranking? Are some treasures more valuable than the rest, or does it signify their raw strength?"

[The ranks are mostly used to grade the raw strength of each individual treasure; it doesn't entail its value, for that aspect is subjective.]

[As you can see, you obtained epic, legendary, and divine-ranked treasures, basically top-notch treasures.]

"So what's the highest rank?"

[That would be divine-ranked, then followed by supreme-ranked, and the others.]

"One last question," Damian said. "This mana you mentioned, how do people access it in this world?"

[Oh, that's a brilliant question, Damian. Mana can only be seen and perceived by a select few, and with that instinct, they are able to gather such mana and store it in their core.]

"So basically, mana gathering?"

[Yes, the core concept of mana cultivation.]

"So what's next? I've used up all the heavenly points. What's the next step in my transmigration?"

[Everything is complete, just as I said earlier.]

"Complete?" Damian said. "Then why the fuck are we still in this white cube? You can't tell me this is what the kingdom looks like."

[I'm patiently waiting for any questions.]

[Damian, you do realize that you're being tossed into an endless path of battles.]

"Okay, that sounds new," Damian said.

[Oh, I didn't mention that? I'm sure I did.]

"I'm sure you didn't."

[But now I have.]

"Wait... you didn't just..."

[Damian, to assist you further, I will try my best to summarize your mission in this world.]

"Finally, some true insight into the meaning of all this."

[Your mission is straightforward: defeat the demons of the Netherworlds. By doing so, you will be protecting the inhabitants of the mortal realm.]

"Okay, that sounds like a lot of work," Damian responded. "No, fuck it, is it actually me you're asking to defeat demons?"

[Unless there's another person in the room with us, I see no reason why I wouldn't be talking to you.]

With a sigh, Damian continued, "This feels so unreal. Demons? Netherworlds? Mortal realms? Meaning there are definitely celestial realms as well. Damn, I didn't sign up for any of this."

[There's no turning back, Damian. I have finally bonded with you, and you have obtained enough treasures that have practically made you unrivaled in this world.]

[Now hold on, your transmigration is about to happen.]

"Wait, I'm not done talking."

Immediately, the space around Damian blurred and twisted into a swirling mix of colors and light. The white room, the floor, and the lights all dissolved into a powerful, churning vortex. A crushing, unseen force grabbed him and yanked him into the spinning void. It was a dizzying, terrifying sensation, as if reality itself were being pulled apart around him. The sound of the void became a deafening roar as a heavy pressure encased his body, pulling him deeper until his vision was filled with nothing but a wild mix of colors before everything went black.

Then, he began to hear the chirping of birds, the feeling of something that couldn't be mistaken for anything other than a cold morning breeze, the sound of leaves falling to the ground from the trees, and the movement of feet. Everything was slowly piecing together.

Damian's eyes snapped open. Right in front of him was a fair-skinned girl with brown eyes, a playful smirk on her face.

"That's enough resting, Damian," she said. "Up on your feet. Let's finally get some hunting done."
