Mid afternoon-
I was in shocking of learning my magic capabilities, it was beyond my expectations, I didn't realize humans could be so powerful.
I remember reading the special known entities book.I remember that humans were some what inferior to the other species in terms of Mana/ Magical powers.
I didn't think, us human beings could produce such remarkable results.
Speaking of magic capabilities I wonder what grandmas magic abilities are,but before I asked I wanted to see my theory of sensing a person mana by touch.
I walked over to grandma and asked.
"Grandma could you stretch out your hand out for me."
She did exactly what I instructed her to do, I stretched out my hand as well and firmly grasp her out stretched hand.
I channel tiny portion of mana, into my hand and tried sensing her mana, it didn't work, I channel more than usual.
"What are you doing young sir?"
Grandma questioned my sense of morals, for oddly messing around her with her hand.
I retraces the same tiny portion of mana, but this time I focus to the same amount of mana, that grandma naturally produces, a synchronize with it.
This time I felt something, both were similar essence too the life force of the tree and rock.So I let go of grandma's hand and asked certainly.
"Grandma are you an earth type mage."
Grandma looked confused on how in the word I got such accuracy.
"I do, how'd you know?"
Grandma asked curious.
"When you went to go retrieve the two Lacrimas , I practiced honing my mana sensing abilities, by first sensing the life energy of two different trees and they had a similar vibe to each other , I also sensed the fence life force along with a rock, they both had the same type of aura energy and just know I sense the slightest hint of it from, sensing your mana.
(Author note any time life force/energy is mentioned refer to mana essence.)
"That's..hmm.. a little scary thing to do Takeshi."
Grandma said with a wryly smile.
"Anyway grandma since I have good talent for earth magic could you teach me a few of your favorite tricks and skills?."
I asked.
"Sure little Takeshi, I will be teaching 5 basic earth techniques to learn."
1.)Earth wall- The technique is a earth well technique that could protect/shield the user.
2.)Earth dome-A defensive earth dome that makes a complete dome around the user.
3.)Earth spikes- A offensive earth technique that
4.)Earth mud- A offensive and defensive technique that sinks or traps your, opponent.
5.)Earth floor manipulation-This technique is by far the best offensive and defensive technique, in grandma arsenal, I'm about to manipulate the ground similar to mud however I'm about to shoot out floor chunks or boulder size rocks, in addition if I hold down hand signals,I'm able to trace down people with it.

One whole week has passed since I first learned, how to sense Mana and use Earth magic.
I was just finishing my daily exercise routine.I only have the 10 kilometer run to finish,so I made my way down to the lake.
I was at the lake and started running towards the 5 kilometer marker, it took me under 18 minutes to make to the halfway point, I'm already finishing better than I when I first started.
I reached the halfway mark, I started heading back, which took me 15 minutes this time to finish.

I was sweating less than when I first started , that's a little progress that I'm very happy with the results of the past two weeks of training.
Now than ,since I'm here I might as well meditate near the lake,I proceeded with cupping water and took a sip.

I didn't notice before when I first learned to sense mana, but the Life force and spiritual force coming from the lake was overwhelming. It was simply breathtaking, so what grandma said about the lake having a spirit could be true.
Hmm since I'm a water mage I should just be able to manipulate the water with absolutely ease.I stretched out my hand and opened my palm wide, I slowly moved my hand up.
Just as I did this, waves of water was moving aggressively, I stopped momentarily and the water slowly began returning to a natural stillness.
"Well it seems water loves me."
I spoke out quietly to myself
I pointed with one finger and slowly traced up and in the air, water slowly hopped in a vertical line up.
I dropped my finger down and the water,drop in from.
So whenever I'm near water my magic capabilities exceed 10/10 proficiency.
That's good to know, I went over to the lake and removed my shoes and pants and was left in my underwear. I tried stepping into the lake,however I was standing on water.
Hmm that shouldn't be possible, In fact during all the hand signals, I never channeled mana, I left it all to my natural mana state.
So instead of increasing my mana channeled, instead I tried suppressing my mana and without warning I slipped into the lake, I was about 124 centimeters tall, meaning I could drown if I go base 4 feet down.
So I went exactly 2.5 feet deep and than sat down in a Burmese position than meditated.
1 hour later-
Location grandma house
I was inside grandma house, I was prepping my bath, when grandma announced.
" I'm making lunch in 30 minutes."
"Okay grandma."
20 minutes later-
I finish my bath 20 minutes passed by and grandma said lunch would be ready in 30 minutes.So I went inside my room and noticed the over covered dirty laundry.
I went over and picked up every piece of laundry, hmm I noticed how most of my clothes where clothing with warm protective gear, I just remember that the weather forecast said it will snow tomorrow, I wonder if the lake will fully be frozen.
"Lunch time!"
Grandma reminded me of lunch,being prepared.
"Smells delicious and looks delicious grandma."
I compliment grandmas culinary skills giving her a happy smile.
She made a typical steamed rice, with lamb ribs, with the aside of a sweet potato and carrot soup.
"Enjoy!"
Grandma said.
After lunch, I was outside with the types of magic book.
I flipped open the book and the first pages is a generic table of contents containing element based spells.
Hmm I went over and scanned an interesting type magic or to be more precise two interesting things.
1.)Dragon slayer-A mage with the magic capabilities of slaying dragons.
2.)God slayers-A mage that has magical abilities to slay gods.
These are humans with magical abilities that would make any mage envious,but the question remains how does one become theses slayers.
Anyway I flipped to the specific page water.
I scanned the all of the water spells,that I will be learning.
Expanding Water Bolts: Project water that expands rapidly on contact with an object.
Formulated Water Blasts: Release blasts of water in a form of a creature or object.
Hand Blasts: Release water blasts from hands.
Hidden Attacks: Channel attacks through a medium.
Submerged Attacks: Channel their techniques through the water.

Omnidirectional Water Waves: Send out a wave of water in all directions.
Reflective Attacks: Release attacks of water that can bounce/reflect off any surface.
Scatter Shot: Release water blasts that split into multiple fragments.
Sword Beam Emission: Release water blasts from swords and other such bladed weapons.
Water Ball Projection: Create and launch spheres of water.
Water Beam Emission: Release beams of water.
Water Blast: Release water over a specific target area.
Water Bolt Projection: Release low powered projectiles of water.

Water Zap: A tiny, short release of water to cause pain or discomfort, usually too low-powered to be destructive.
I flipped over to the lighting/electricity page and selected 8 basic spells I think, I could learn the best out of.
(Author note:Lighting is yellow in color and more destructive/powerful.Electric is blue in color and much weaker but is faster and easier to control.)

2.)Electric/Lighting Cutting: Use electricity to cut opponents.
3.)Electric/Lighting Pillar Projection: Project lightning pillars.
4.)Electric/Lighting Shock: Release extreme electric current in a person or object.
5.)Electric/Lighting Spike Projection: Project electrical spikes.
6.)Electric/Lighting Vortex Creation: Create a spiral/vortex of electricity.
7.)Electric/Lighting Wave Emission: Send out a wave of electricity that repels everything.
8.)Electric/Lighting Zap: Release electricity in short bursts.
I went over to the Earth page and selected 3 spells
1.)Earth Spike Projection: Project earth spikes.
2.)Earth quake:A attack that cause any one within the area to lose balance except the user.
3.Earth rock armor: A set of rock armor around the users body.
I will study all of this magic spells, right I'm actually mentally exhausted.

It's snowing , just like the weather forecast said, it would snow, I made my way down near the lake and do my morning workout routine and mental exercise,but before I do that I observed the lake water and it was in ice.
I walked over took off the winter gloves, I had on then proceeds to touched the lake ice.
It's cold however the life fore it usually has ,had been heavily suppress. It's still the highest spiritual force despite its weakened state.
I carved out a piece of ice lake, and the taste wasn't funky, in fact it was just a typical clean water.
