CHAPTER 24: THE FUN FUND LEGACY
The apartment was in its usual state of controlled chaos. The entire group was there, their voices a cacophony of excited chatter. Raj and Howard were passionately arguing about the merits of different cosplay armor materials, Sheldon was meticulously sketching out a floor plan of the convention hall, and Leonard was trying to find an empty spot on the couch that wasn't covered in comic books.
"Okay, guys, wait, wait, wait," Leonard said, holding up a hand. "Let's just calm down. We don't even have tickets yet. We can't get tickets. The prices are insane."
A collective groan went through the room.
"I know," Raj said, his voice dejected. "I was going to go as an anime ninja, but now I'll just have to go as a depressed, unemployed physicist."
"That's not a costume, that's just a lifestyle, Raj," Howard said, and everyone laughed.
"The prices are a logical barrier to entry," Sheldon said, a furrow in his brow. "Even if we pool our resources, we would only be able to afford the basic, single-day pass. The VIP package is a logical impossibility."
Aron, who had been quietly watching the whole spectacle, pulled out his phone. The screen lit up, and he saw the final, beautiful number on his Passive Income Loop.

He clicked 'Y'. The balance immediately dropped to zero. He slipped the phone back into his pocket, a small smile on his face.
"What if," he said, his voice low, "the price wasn't an issue?"
Everyone stopped talking and looked at him.
"What do you mean?" Penny asked. "Are you a secret trust fund baby or something?"
Aron just shrugged. "My crypto investments have been doing pretty well lately. I've been… saving up for something fun to do with my friends." He paused, and then said, with a quiet confidence that surprised even him, "I'm paying for the whole thing. Tickets, travel, hotels. VIP passes. It's all on me."
A collective silence fell over the room. Howard and Raj's mouths hung open in unison. Leonard blinked, as if he were trying to process the data.
"You… you can't be serious," Leonard said, his voice a disbelieving whisper.
"Dead serious," Aron said, a small, genuine smile on his face.
The room erupted. Cheers and whoops filled the air. Howard and Raj started doing a victory dance. Penny ran over and hugged Aron, a fierce, grateful hug.
"I don't know where you came from, man," Leonard said, a quiet sense of awe in his voice. "But I'm so glad you're here."
I smiled, a warmth filling my chest that had nothing to do with the System. The System got me here, but my own actions made me stay.
Even Sheldon, who was still trying to process the illogical generosity, looked at Aron with a new kind of respect. "Is this a new phase of your… 'financial experiments'?"
Aron just shook his head, a wry smile on his face. "Yep, it's a new phase. It's called 'having friends.'"
The group toasted him with beers, their glasses clinking together. They made plans, their voices full of excitement and gratitude. The Comic-Con trip was no longer a dream; it was a reality. And Aron, for the first time in his life, was not just an observer. He was the one who made it happen.
