Larissa's POV
We drove down a private lane that wound through perfectly groomed landscapes. As we got closer, an iron gate opened by itself, and I noticed a security camera following our car.
"Welcome to paradise," Carson said, steering the Aston Martin up the twisting drive.
My mouth fell open when the Gary property came into sight. This wasn't just a big house. It was like something from a movie, stretching across what had to be several acres, with sleek modern design that managed to look both powerful and welcoming.
"You've got to be kidding me," I whispered. "Real people actually live in places like this?"
"We do now."
"How many rooms are we talking about here?" I asked as we pulled into the circular drive.
"Twenty-two bedrooms, seventeen bathrooms, home theater, pools inside and out, tennis court, wine storage, plus a few extras." He parked in front of huge wooden doors. "Nothing over the top."
I stared at him. "Nothing over the top?"
