Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 – The Fracture Before the Storm

The light from the fracture above spills down like liquid fire casting long shadows across the Infinite Court The silence before the next battle is suffocating Kael stares up at the glowing sky his heart thundering louder than he'd like to admit Yuna stands beside him her fingers fidgeting against her staff

And Ryo… stands alone again motionless staring into the crack as if he can see something far beyond it.

Kael: exhales slowly This place… it never stops trying to kill us.

Yuna: whispering It's not just the place It's what's waiting on the other side.

Kael: grins weakly What's one more cosmic monster right? We've already taken down Time, Silence Flame and Oblivion Might as well add whatever's next to the list.

Yuna: glancing at Ryo But it's not we who took them down It's him Every time.

Kael: shrugs And that's why we're still breathing.

Yuna: quietly Or maybe that's why we should be scared.

Kael doesn't answer Deep down he knows she's right He's never felt this helpless before Once he believed his sword and courage could overcome anything But beside Ryo his strength feels like a candle before a star Yuna clutches her staff tighter and looks down at her trembling hands.

Yuna: softly My spells don't even leave scratches anymore They don't matter.

Kael: snapping Hey Don't say that.

Yuna: snapping back It's true! We're just… here We don't fight We don't protect. We don't do anything Ryo doesn't even need us.

Kael: bitter laugh Yeah… I know. But if we leave who's going to remind him that he's still human?

They both fall silent Yuna looks toward Ryo again He hasn't moved an inch The cracks in the sky widen further spiraling like a blooming flower of destruction Kael swallows hard.

Kael: murmuring Hey Ryo… what's coming?

Ryo: Judgment.

Kael: rolling his eyes You always say that But what kind of judgment?

Ryo: The final Judge before the throne The Judge of Origin The one who wrote the first law.

Yuna's eyes widen Even she with all her ancient knowledge had only heard whispers of that name.

Yuna: trembling Origin… The first law… That means

Ryo: Everything you know reality time life death all bend to its will Defeat it and the Court itself kneels.

Kael: laughs nervously Great The strongest one yet As if the last five weren't enough.

Yuna: bites her lip Can we even survive this one?

Ryo: I will.

Those two words chill them more than any cosmic foe There's no arrogance in his tone just cold certainty It's not a boast It's a fact.

Kael: mutters There it is again That thing in his voice Like he's already left us behind.

Yuna: whispers Maybe he has.

The Court begins to shake violently The air bends warps and breaks as the crack in the sky explodes into a spiral of creation itself Light and darkness pour out together stars birthing and dying in an instant From within that chaos a colossal figure descends wrapped in chains forged from the first concept of existence itself.

Judge of Origin: Ryo… anomaly… you have walked too far.

Ryo: Not far enough.

Judge of Origin: You have defied law, fate, silence, fire, and death. But you will not defy me.

Ryo: Watch me.

The Judge's presence alone is enough to crush Kael to his knees His bones feel like they're being rewritten his memories flickering like fading dreams Yuna screams as the weight of first law tries to erase her magic from existence.

Kael: gritting his teeth D-damn it… I can't even stand…

Yuna: crying out My spells… they're gone! I can't cast anything!

Judge of Origin: All powers all wills all forces they were born from me Before me there was nothing Against me there is nothing.

Ryo: Incorrect.

Judge of Origin: Speak carefully anomaly.

Ryo: Before you there was silence Before silence there was nothing And before nothing… there was me.

The Court roars Reality shakes Even the Judge falters for a brief moment as if those words were not mere arrogance but truth itself Yuna looks up through blurred vision and for the first time she sees something terrifying in Ryo's aura It's not power. It's inevitability.

Kael: coughing H-he's changing again… stronger… heavier… like he's becoming the law itself…

Yuna: horrified No… not like it He is it.

Judge of Origin: You dare challenge the one who birthed existence?

Ryo: I am not challenging I am reclaiming.

The ground beneath Ryo glows with pure concept the essence of power itself bending toward him Chains meant to restrain gods crack and splinter at his feet Kael stares his fear now mixed with awe.

Kael: whispering What is he becoming?

Yuna: softly Something this world isn't ready for.

The Judge roars swinging a colossal hand of creation itself down toward Ryo The blow would erase entire realities but Ryo doesn't move He raises a single hand and stops it mid-air effortlessly.

Ryo: Your reign ends now.

The Judge's eyes widen the first sign of fear it has ever shown And Kael trembling realizes this isn't just a battle It's the rewriting of creation itself.
